Foolishly I took my Caravan back to these jokers to take a fifth look at the
power steering - after all they have already charged me 500 bucks and have not
fixed the problem so I figured they owed me. After 2 days in the shop - or more
likely sat in the yard, they tell me they cannot located where the groaning
noise is coming from but suggest I could pay a further 700 dollars to have the
pump removed and bench tested or have the rack replaced for around 1300 bucks.
The pump is attached by two bolts. There is a low pressure inlet pipe attached
by a pipe clamp and a high pressure line attached by a flange bolt - come on
guys don't insult your customer's intelligence by suggesting this is almost
as complicated as an engine removal. I would suggest to anyone thinking of using
this dealership - don't. Buy a Haynes manual, you can't do a worse job than
these morons.

Bought a van there, the sales team was ok. When Van broke down got towed there.
Bad mistake. They did not know what was wrong so they put in a new starter.
Next day van broke down again in the cold with 6 kids in the car. Got it towed
again. One service person said it was the starter the other did not know. Husband
saved messages on his phone. Charged over 700.00 worth of work when it was a
.50 cent part. Had to call several times to get original starter back in with
refund. Manager was rude, disrespectful, and we proved with the conflicting
phone messages they were lying. Was refunded some of the money but if we had
taken van to a decent place it would have cost us .50 for the part and about
five minutes. do not go there i tell everyone i know! this is the second time
we have been hosed by this dealership.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
At around 60K, I was getting a groaning noise from the steering which was worse
on cold days and usually disappeared after around 10Km but would come back intermittently
even when the van was warm. As the van was still under warranty and not wanting
to be stung for a steering pump/rack, I took it into Crowfoot Dodge in Calgary.
They charged me 50 bucks to look at the van, told me they could find nothing
wrong and the noise was "normal" for vehicles of that type then told
me that a recall would be performed on the vehicle while it was in the shop
(steering hose). The noise was still there but as I had been assured that this
was normal, I just put it down to the usual crap engineering standards found
on most chrysler vehicles. After consulting with several people who also own
Dodge GC's and finding out that the noise is in fact anything but normal, I
took the van back to crowfoot dodge who -amazingly- now decide that they really
can fix the noise. This decision may have been swayed by the fact that the van
is now out of warranty so they smell serious cash. I pointed out that the problem
was brought to their attention while the van was in warranty but all I get is
"'tough luck". What they did was add a power steering cooler to the
system which looks like a cheap radiator grill attached in a vulnerable position
on the underside of the car beneath the driver. They also flushed the system
then left me with a bill for 421 bucks and make a big thing about how nice they
had been by giving me the parts for free. It would have been nicer if they had
looked harder and bothered to road test the van while I could have claimed under
warranty. I had to admit at this point that that I was stunned by the brilliance
of their logic, fixing a cooler to reduce the temperature of the steering fluid
when I had expressly informed them that the problem was worse when the engine
was cold. So I drive the car away with my gleaming new steering fluid cooler,
only to find that the noise is still there but worse. Back to the dealership
(Crowfoot dodge) and they decide to add a length of steering hose to the cooler
they previously added. This is cunningly attached to the car in boy scout fashion
with a pair of cable ties. No doubt they think I will be paralyzed with laughter
the first time I see this contraption in my rear view mirror after driving in
next winters inevitable ankle deep snow. They also mentioned that they had cleaned
the steering reservoir filter which you would have thought would be clean after
the flush (2nd visit).
Anyway thanks Crowfoot guys, the noise is still there and you have truly amazed
me with your incompetence and lack of customer care. Thanks especially to the
service manager who makes every attempt to avoid my telephone calls. Thanks
to the dizzy secretary who never fails to amuse me by claiming no managers are
available. Thanks to Chrysler Canada for backing up crappy dealer service -
I am now enlightened as to why you are almost out of business.
I would appreciate any suggestions from fellow victims of chrysler as to what
might fix the problem.

Dodge Grand Caravan 03 At 55K, my power steering begins to groan when turning
the steering wheel at slow speed especially when cold. Took it into CROWFOOT
DODGE who charged me for half an hour labour to do the inspection. Told me that
the vibration and noise was normal in all van models, then performed a recall
on a steering hose. Mmmm, so was there any reason to charge me the half hour
labour to inspect the system if there was already a design fault. So there I
am thinking my still groaning upgraded steering was normal until I gave a couple
of buddies of mine a ride downtown. Whoa! what's the groaning noise is all I
get from them. That's interesting, I thought, maybe another trip to the dealership
is called for. So in I go and a helpful service guy locates the problem and
fits a power steering cooler. Now this problem was first looked at by crowfoot
dodge (documented) at 55K inside my warranty period and described as normal
noise, then the same problem was looked at again outside my warranty, and it
was considered necessary to throw 500 dollars worth of work at the problem to
fix the same noise. Only now, the ripoff merchants at crowfoot dodge won't acknowledge
that they should have done this while the van was under warranty. By fitting
a cooler to the steering pump, they are admitting that the design has a flaw
and what gets me is why they think cooling the steering fluid will help when
the steering is noisy when the van is cold. MY general advice with these guys
is let nothing go while your vehicle is under warranty, go at them like a dog
with a bone as there is no common sense or goodwill at this dealership when
the warranty is out and they want to get out the rubber gloves.

I took my 1500 quad cab for the 25000km service which was booked in at 1:30pm.
I arrived 20 minutes early but the service advisor said that was fine.In his
own words "lets get started so we can get you on your way" He showed
me to the waiting room where I waited and waited and waited. At 3:45 I decided
to see what the problem was and after talking to one person who sent me to another,
I find out my truck is sitting outside waiting for me. How long was it there?
I have no idea. Once getting my keys and entering my truck, I find no window
sticker telling me when next service is due or nothing checked off in my service
manual. Did they do the work? I have no idea. What I do know is that I sat in
their waiting room for over 2 hours, and will never sit there again.

I have been dealing with these guys for years. From Rob the Internet Manager
to the finance office lady Leanne and the parts guys and service they are awesome.
They take the time to show you everything. Rob shows you invoice and how much
you are going to be paying over that, he breaks down the lease or finance for
you so you can understand it. As does the finance office. The parts and service
guys do their utmost to look after everything for you to make sure you are well
looked after. SO PEOPLE, PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF THE SAND AND GO SEE CROWFOOT
!! If you ask for the right people they will look after you !!! Do yourself
a favor and see Rob and the rest of the team and they will look after you !

I really love the dodge dakota. nice truck. however, after checking out CROWFOOT
DODGE I reconsidered buying a dodge. At the time there was only 3 used dakotas....in
the $20k to $25 price range. This was my price range. Unfortunately, these 3
models did not match what I was looking for. Really quickly the sales man had
me looking at brand new dakotas with 4x4 V8 well above 30k. The brand new truck
was out of my price range and I repeated to the sales man that it was too much.
I felt really uncomfortable and pressured to sign the paper work that he was
working so eagerly on. It was like a wolf licking his lips. I will never go
back to CROW FOOT DODGE. I have heard many bad stories about the service and
parts departments from co workers who have bought new vehicles there. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Service department is horrible, took my van in for service, not only did they
not do anything, the "lost" it, service department closed, had to
get the courtesy driver to try to find the keys. Took my dodge ram in for electrical
work, they did $1100 worth of unnecessary and unauthorized (by me) work, smoked
in the truck. When I complained they agreed to clean it. When I returned to
pick up the truck it was raining and the windows were left open. New vehicle
prices are the highest in town.

They are expensive, Twice I have found that the work I paid for was not satisfactory.
Paid for a service and found that the service guy did not completely refill
the transmission with oil. Another time I was told by the service rep that they
could not service my vehicle as they did not do air conditioning and he referred
me to a real sleazy place across town...Later on another visit I was told that
they in fact do service air conditioning and always have?
Another time the parts dept would not sell me a part that I needed, they told
me I had to buy a complete assembly that cost me three times as much. The parts
guy told me I could not order just the piece I needed. I later purchased just
the part I wanted from another dealership without any hassles.
A couple of other times I have figured that they have actually caused damage
to my vehicle when I have had it in for service work. Yes I did use the automated
phone system to register my complaints and despite assurances that a Service
Dept foreman would call me back they never did.
I would not recommend Crowfoot Dodge for service work or parts, to anyone. I
always had to double check anything I paid them to do and got sick of finding
things not completely reassembled correctly or not done to my satisfaction.
To me it seems like they are always in too much of a rush and they make silly
mistakes and then go overboard to cover it up after the fact.
As for the guy who sent me elsewhere to get my air conditioning fixed....I did
wonder if he had some close ties to the shop he sent me to...By the way I didn't
have my air con repaired at that place.
I did not feel that the staff valued me as a customer and they were more interested
in the Internal shop politics and Dealership Policies which seem to be designed
to cover up there screw-ups rather than an honest dialogue. In fact twice they
simply refused to follow up on my complaints....I go elsewhere or do it myself.

Without doubt the worst company I have EVER dealt with! Booking a service can
take days sometime weeks. Would not arrange to carry out safety recall work
on vehicle, saying that "they were too busy that month".
I found that on a leased Jeep I had from Crowfoot Dodge the mile counter was
in error by 10% When I asked them to correct this they refused, saying that
a 10% error was acceptable. YEAH! I"M SURE IT IS, IF SOMEONE IS PAYING
THEM FOR EXTRA MILEAGE ON A LEASE!!!
Take my advice. Before doing business with this company - DO YOUR RESEARCH AND
TALK TO THEIR EX-CUSTOMERS -
DON'T DEAL WITH CROWFOOT DODGE!!! But don't take my word for it call Chrysler
on 1-877 537-6436 and ask THEM if they have had any complaints about this firm.

worked out myself that there was a problem with the circuit on one injector

And why the environmental fee? Guess the computer diagnostic equipment must
use a lot of oil :{

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and was advised that it would be
tuned up prior to picking it up. When I arrived at the dealership at the predetermined
time, the vehicle was not ready, it had not even been washed yet. The sales
person was not available (naturally) and no one had any answers. It returned
at the request of the sales manager a few hours later and found that the car
had not been properly cleaned and when I was about 5 KM's from the dealership,
the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I had to fight with the sales
and service managers to get my vehicle fixed under "their" warranty.
In the end, the service. I would strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle
from this dealership. Go to Renfrew Chrysler in downtown instead.

I am not sure what this last guy (Adam) in the previous email is talking about,
must be on something. I have bought my last two Ram's there and have dealt with
Garth. He is nothing but professional and straight forward. I have always had
good service in both the sales department and with service as well. WOULD HIGHLY
RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP !!!
My only parting shot is at people who do not have a clue how to buy a vehicle.
They are usually the whiners and criers on these websites. Most people who have
a major problem probably could get it looked after by the dealer if they go
through the proper steps to resolve the problem. Also learn about the vehicle
before you go in and treat the salesperson like a person not a piece of crap
or they will treat you the same! I am high end sales and believe this to be
true.

I was just stopping in to get some info about a dodge dakota that I was interested
in, Instead of showing me any of the vehicles i was pulled inside and already
having paperwork drawn up. The salesman Garth was asking me what i was looking
to spend for payments down payment etc, and instead of writing down what i was
saying he kept talking me into bumping the numbers up just a bit at a time.
I had asked about any used vehicles that he might have had on the lot, but he
said that there really weren't any that met my demands, and that the financial
deal i wanted could not be reached on a used truck. then when i said i wanted
to sleep on it he got more pushy and defensive trying to get me back in the
next morning. when i checked the internet the next night, i went on to see the
inventory they had listed for used vehicles, i found 3 in my price range that
met my criteria, so he lied about that. Then the next morning i stopped by Big
4 on MacLeod to compare a little, the sales man there Bill Doddridge answered
all my questions and said my criteria could of course be worked out on a used
truck. He showed me a great dakota and we did the paper work right away. I left
felling like I did get the Dakota that i was looking for.
I recommend to look at big 4 if you are in the market for a dodge, Crowfoot
seems to really push higher pressure sales tactics, they want the quick sale,
and don't give them a cent for a deposit no matter how easy they say it will
be to get back if you change your mind. Garth became very hostile and pushy
over the phone when i said i was coming back for my money that he originally
said was "no problem to get refunded if you change you mind." He already
was trying to tell me to go to someone else to try to get my refund, and that
he didn't know if they went out to buy my truck yet. I still have to go in in
person to get my money and hope i don't run into a problem.
