I have purchased 3 vehicles from this Dealer. Two of my trucks have been from the same salesman. Outstanding treatment and time to spend with you until the deal is finished and follow-up.
Excellent truck I would buy another

They were very dishonest and unreasonable. I will never do business with them again and i will pass the word on to all my family and friends. I went in to buy a I vehicle and was quoted one price than later they told me another price which was much higher. I did some investigating with other chrysler dealers, and found out how they were trying to rip me off!! I cant believe these people actually go to sleep at night knowing what they are doing. I guess when they say they are number one, it is true because they are number one at taking people for a ride.

Wanted to buy a Dodge 3500, deal was made for $29,900 w/ $7000 for my trade in. Dealt with them for about a week, ended up talking to 3 or 4 different people. Everyone I talked to had a different story. They claimed that Chrysler credit wouldn't finance me, changed my trade in value to $5000 and wanted $1000 down. I told them to get bent and went to Campbell Chrysler in Fairview, had the same truck that day for the same price, they gave me $7000 for my trade in and Chrysler credit financed me in about 5 minutes.

My rating would be avoid like the plague but it was not an option. I am sorry if this site is only for trucks but I have looked everywhere for the car site and it keeps bringing me back here. In Feb of 2005 we purchased a 2002 Intrepid. While taking the car for a test drive I noticed a sound,the salesman said it was a "windlock noise" and would be fixed before delivery. The car was then sent to the shop to be detailed and fix the noise. When we picked up the vehicle the car was detailed (not a great job) and they could not duplicate the problem of the noise. We were told to bring the car back if the noise came back, while driving home the noise was still there. I booked an appt for the service dept to look at it again but AGAIN they could not duplicate the problem. I have had the car for 7 months now and the noise is still there. That is just the beginning of the nightmare. My car was scheduled for an oil change so I booked the appt. The day before my appt my amber engine light came on so I called the service dept and told them about it and they said they would look at it. I was told they could not duplicate the problem but I needed a O2 sensor and it would cost around 2 hundred and it was not covered by warranty. While I was there I decided to go to the used car center to get a owners manual because the car did not have one and I was told I would have to pay for one and the salesman I spoke with said that the engine light might have come on because of a loose gas cap. Well I did not get the sensor replaced and my light has not come on again. Then one day I go to start my car and all the dash lights come on like normal till I turn the key to the start position the stereo dial starts to rapidly go up and down,the dash lights flash on and off. I remove the key and try again and it starts without a problem. The next day it does it again but this time it takes 3 tries to start it. I call the service dept and tell them the problem I was told it could be the alternator and it is not covered by warrant (I have bumper to bumper warranty) I take the car in and am told they can not duplicate the problem but I need a $230 tune up. I just got the car 6 months ago was a tune up not done to the car before?! When I asked this question I was told because of the KMs on the car I drive very little and have put on aprox. 1000 km per month. I could not afford this right now so I declined. I was then told that to fix the problem I would need to have a battery service. Also at this time I had asked them to look at the trunk because it would pop open every now and then. When I was told I would be charged for it I told service not to bother. When I went to pick the car up I was told that they looked at the trunk free of charge and they could not duplicate the problem. I am a pretty patient person but EVERY problem I bring to their attention can not be duplicated I am getting really irritated. This was on a Thurs and on Sat my trunk opened 3 times while parked in front of my house. Six days later I drive the kids to school and when I get back in the car to do my errands the car starts doing the same problem it did not even a week ago only this time the car won't even start. I had to leave the car at the school and find another way home. I called the service dept and told them the problem and said that I felt I should not have to pay for the diagnostic because I was told the problem was solved.The service adviser said I would have to.When my husband called and said the same thing he was told that we did not have to pay for it. I didn't realize you had to be a man to get proper service. My husband took the car in and mentioned about the trunk again which the service dept said they would look at. I received a call about the car and was told the starting problem was my battery and it would be $175 plus shop charges and that the trunk was an electrical problem and it would be $89 to fix. I declined them to fix the trunk because it wasn't a huge issue and I really couldn't afford it at this time.When I got the call my car was ready I was told the total bill was $249 that is the most expensive battery I have ever bought in my life. When I arrived at the dealer and looked at the bill I was charged for a diagnostic for the battery, a diagnostic for the trunk and a few other things. When I started to make a fuss about the bill one of the service advisors took it away and came back with a bill of $125. I was okay with this until I got outside to my car and the trunk was open. I tried closing it about 20 or more times and it would not close. I went and got the same man that altered the bill and he tried to close it a number of times and told me it was because I needed to get it fixed. The trunk finally closed and I started on my way when I realized the trunk light was still on but the trunk was closed. When I called the service dept to complain about the problem I was told the only way top fix the problem was to get the electrical fixed. The light was never on before and there was no problem in closing the trunk and there is also a wire that has been disconnected that I can't even reconnect because I would need a special tool to get the cover off. If this is the way my car was brought in to them I wouldn't be causing a stink Derrick Dodge service dept tells me that it has nothing to do with them but I have very different views on that. I don't expect them to pay for the electrical problem unless of course they knew about it before I purchased the car but I do expect them to fix the problem that they created. I will now be taking the car to another service dept and will never again buy another vehicle from Dodge/Chrysler again.
I am hoping Derrick Dodge will contact me regarding this issue and hopefully redeem themselves and resolve this and any other problems

I found that the salespeople at this dealership are untruthful and try to cover up defects on there used trucks. Fresh paint on the lower part of the trucks to cover the many miles of gravel roads, overspray on screw heads under fenders, and between the doors and tailgate, "They" also tried to cover up some front end damage by jimmy rigging bumper brackets to replace previous existing factory parts. I found the sales manager to be rude and very pushy.
Buyers beware!

We order a 2003 Dodge Durango at a price of $32,998. Within the time period of ordering and the vehicle arriving, the price dropped $1000. They told us we could just get $1000 worth of extras such as remote start etc....when we arrived to pick up the vehicle it wasn't quite "ready" so pushed us to sign the papers. I refused until I saw the vehicle. Once we went to sign the papers, all of a sudden that "$1000" went towards lease deposit etc... And they will meet us 50% for the extras that were already installed!!! We told them where they could put that Durango and will never go back and tell everyone we know to never shop there.

We bought a used 98 Dodge Ram 2500. Salesman was a fast talking in your face type guy. He used all the typical used car salesman lines. Get with the times...you don't need to talk like that. People are more educated about vehicle buying and it's a real turn off when you try to sucker people in. The truck was in very clean shape, but on further inspection I found masking tape all over on the front of the truck hidden away in different spots and the inner doors as well. The truck has been quickly painted as there is over spray of paint all over on a lot of the black parts. Between the cab and box it's not painted properly. When you run your hand along the back of the cab, it's all rough like it's been sanded down. Plus on the front of the box there is a BIG letter R written in blue. The trucks check engine light comes on very often and the problem has never been solved.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
The sales department sold the truck to my husband before we dated and boy did they soak him on the truck. Not only that we have had a lot of mechanical problems with the truck. The service department told us that there was nothing wrong with your transmission, several times we took the truck in for shifting problems. Now our warranty is up and we need a new transmission, funny that your told this when the warranty is up. Not just that our truck is not the only one my dad works for the city and all of there dodge Dakota's are in the shop for the same problem plus many friends with the same truck are having the same problem. I myself will never again own a dodge product.
