I have never had a better experience purchasing a vehicle as I had at Locklear's. The service department staff were very courteous when I returned to have the first oil change performed at their new facility. (The dealership just relocated to a new building in March.) I love my Dakota, and will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for a truck or car.

Very disappointing service. Don't go to them for help, go there if you want to drop a lot of money on something which is not necessary. Bad start

The sales department is crooked! I purchased a new Dodge Ram at Locklear's and they sent me a letter 2 months after I purchased it and claimed I never made a down payment. I have paperwork showing a $1000.00 cash down payment and they tried to sue me in small claims court. Someone in the sales department stole or lost the money and tried to say I never paid it. Never buy from these people!
This dealership sucks!

After the sale, I received a letter asking for an additional $250 on trade in they had checked the payoff and agreed to amount. When I talked to my salesperson, he told me to ignore letter he would straighten it out and I would owe no more money. Next letter I got was a small claims suit for the $250. When I complained about no phone calls, or any additional letters and that we had agreed on payoff and I was never notified otherwise. They were rude and the salesman was suddenly had no memory of talking to me. I paid the claim but will never use this dealership again. I will tell any and everyone about this problem and have cost them at least 15 sales HA HA
I hope this dealership continues to lose customers

I took my Dodge Ram to Locklear to have a thermostat replaced before the warranty expired and to discuss extending my warranty for the few months left on my lease. The service manager, paying little attention to my service request and inquiry, started making a big deal out of the fact that they had not done the 30,000 mile service. He proceeded to fill out an estimate totaling well over $500. For maintenance usually done much later. I protested because I have been leasing and buying vehicles for fifteen years and no one had ever pulled this one on me. I protested and asked if this was a requirement of my lease. His answer was vague. I let him know that I considered this a gouge for customers that don't know any better.
Then he rudely completed the repair order for the service I requested and then added a $32.50 "diagnostic" charge...for a thermostat. I reminded him that the truck was under a bumper to bumper warranty for 36,000 miles or three years and the thermostat had never worked. I expressed my displeasure with their tactics and asked for my keys. I left without getting the repair done and we never got around to discussing the extended warranty. I feel I was cheated out of service that I was entitled to. There are plenty of places to by vehicles and get service that appreciate your business and charge a fair price. I have been very please with the truck.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
After 2 years the paint peeled and dealer agreed to repaint the fenders and the hood as a warranty repair. The paint job did not match the original paint so you can imagine what the truck looks like. The dealer told me if I wanted to get the rest of the truck to match the newly painted parts it would only cost me an additional $1200.00.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
Have had several minor problems J clips on bottom of seats continually come loose. I have taken back twice and had repaired. The very next time you function the seat they come loose again. I have had electrical problems with the door locks jumping. I took back and the dealer could locate the problem. It only happens when it's raining. I believe a control unit is getting wet. Mostly the service department is rude and amazingly unprofessional. This is on my dodge durango RT. I also have a Dodge Dakota pickup both have been bought from locklears. I like the sales dept. but will go to Midfield dodge for service from now on.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
No Experience / Don't Know
