When purchasing a vehicle from this dealer they include an alarm system that they can use to open doors at the dealer. My system kept setting off the panic mode when I would unlock the doors. After making 6 trips back, they finally fixed the problem. While they did offer a refund, it was not an easy process. I was more worried about any potential wiring problems that may have occurred as a result of using in-line splices during the installation of the alarm.
Also during a routine oil change on a 1999 Durango, the service manager pointed out that the differential fluid needed to be changed "because there was an oil drip from the fill spout". Every time I have changed out differential fluid, it always runs down and has to be wiped off, leaving an oil stain on the differential cover.
I will only take my vehicle back for service until I have used up the pre-purchased oil changes.

We ended up not buying a vehicle from Earnhardt's because they wouldn't even show us the vehicle we were interested in and tried to sell us a different one. They told us we were approved for financing and had us driving this other vehicle for a week before they called and said we had to bring it back because we didn't have financing. The sales department was rude and because we had to go through Mr. Ed's special financing dept (I had little to no credit) they treated us like dirt.

Contacted about the paint peeling off my 1997 Ram 1500 had to take the truck down there 3 times for them to look at. Could never get a call back from the man that was handling my case. Then he finally told me that it was faulty primer from the factory and that they (Earnhardt's) were not responsible for it. But they would be happy to repaint it for me at the cost of $3200.00
I would by another Dodge Truck but it won't be from Earnhardt's

The people I dealt with in the fleet department went out of their way to make certain I was completely satisfied. Frankly, I was surprised to read some of the other negative comments about Earnhardt's, as I have bought several vehicles from this dealer and have had a great experience every time. Maybe it's because I asked for the fleet department(?) - I've learned over the years this is the ONLY way to buy a car if you want to get straight answers from a dealer.

The worst experience was beyond the salesman the so called "boss' was rude, inconsiderate and insulting. I would never buy from this dealership, but will remain with our Morehead City, NC dealership.
they may be BIG in AZ, but with maybe too many managers and egos! How rude can one guy be? Yep, you will find him here at Earnhardt's and the worst part is that I will reconsider my 2004 Durango purchase based on that dealership! We already own a HEMI...

This Earnhardt dealership, at Baseline and Countryclub, treated my wife and I worse than any car dealer, ever !! We bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 3/4 ton diesel. To make a long story short, we bought the truck, put $7500 down with my 1996
S-10 Blazer. They were about a thousand below Blue Book on the Blazer but we let it go. After a five hour deal we signed all the papers, even purchased an extended warranty from Dodge, with my Wife sitting in the new truck; they came out and told us that they had sold the truck the day before!!!!! Words were exchanged, my Wife was crying, she called the Police, and we were told to leave without my down payment, without my Blazer title, and without my Blazer tags !!! The Police, as an afterthought, got my title and disabled tags which were not even put back on our Blazer!! I threw the tags in the back of the Blazer and drove off, with two cruisers and a motorcycle police standing with nothing to say other than I shouldn`t drive off with my Blazer tags in the back floorboard!! My Wife cancelled the check we put down on the Dodge and we will never, ever do business with these idiots again !! Earnhardt Gilbert Dodge Sucks !!!

The buying experience was okay. I stuck to my guns and when the "sales manager" came back with the $100 over invoice price that he'd calculated, it was $1500 over the real invoice. I told him to pound sand and the sales rep told me that was his MO, he always scared people off that way. He told me to go home, call him, and he could work the deal that way. I did it and 2 hours later had my truck for what I wanted.
The service department has always been great for me. I don't put up with any crap and told them right up front I know my way around a diesel and trucks. They've handled everything professionally and well.

I purchased 1 used car at this dealership and I got a pretty good deal. It is their service department that should be avoided at all costs. Beware of what their "service advisors" may tell your wives or girlfriends. I made the mistake of letting my fiance take her leased 1999 Dodge Ram 4x4 down to have a coolant leak and howling rear differential looked at. They fixed the water leak for no charge, but they also coerced her into having the transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, and differential fluid changed at her own cost, claiming that the vehicle warranty would be voided if she did not. The vehicle had only 20K miles on it and had been driven in 4WD only twice. They claimed that these fluids must be changed every 12K miles (at a cost of about $350). I guess that's what they consider "RAM TOUGH". Anyone that would take advantage of a lady like that is a filthy degenerate in my book.

The sales department will haggle you for every penny. Just stick to what you want to pay and leave if they don't match it. That's what I did and they dropped the price for a used Dodge Dakota 2001 by $6000 with very low mileage. I have been driving it for 6 months now with no problems.
But their service department is very pricey and pushy. $180 for a transmission oil flush? Please! Ok to buy from but id go somewhere else for service. Just don't take their 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th offer. HAGGLE! it will save you thousands.

I have bought or leased 3 vehicles from them and I will never go back. Their service department is nothing but a rip off. They quoted me over $300 for a bolt on transmission cooler not including installation. I was charged $27 for a oil and filter change. They seem to think the differential oil needs to be changed as often as they want to at a cost of $100 plus. I will never go back to that dealer for anything. Stay away from the place.

I bought my 2001 dodge Dakota in Oct. of 2000 and I have had many problems since. Within the first 4 months of ownership, my truck went in for repair (for the same thing) about 6 times. The service manager (Tim Johnson) is an a**hole, and the rest of the service dept. are incompetent a-wipes, with the exception of one. They always give you some BS reason as to what is wrong with your vehicle. For example, when my clutch started going out they told me that I don't know how to drive stick shift. pahleeze!!!!!! I would not recommend anyone buying or dealing with this dealership. Do not buy or deal with this dealership.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
I have bought 4 vehicles from Earnhardt Dodge in the last 5 years. The sales staff all did a great job. They were attentive to my needs and gave me a fair price. I have always had all my service done at Earnhardt's, they have always treated me fairly and honestly. They get the job done right, and if there is a problem they take care of it right away. They truly make me feel like a valued customer. I will always take my truck to Earnhardt Dodge for service. I love my 2003 Ram Quad Cab Truck! Wow, what a nice ride!

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
Purchased my new ram past Nov. It has been abused more from the service department, then my 96 chevy pickup hunting elk and ducks. They have had to replace the bumper, for they dented it. Battery died, they neglected to put finder cover down and spilt acid lest corner panel. It spent 10 days in the shop for replacing it. One thing I have to admit is the Service advisor has gone beyond the call of duty to accommodate me (providing rental Cars and etc.). It's just the hassle of dealing with taking it in. I am really disappointed in the dodge truck. I have a list of thing that have been replaced and have to. Fuse, hood light armrest cover, back speakers, longer driverside seat belt, battery, latch on the back window to name a few. Realize if possible, my vehicles do not have rattles, when ever service is done, they get detailed. Oh the clock spring replaced three time so far and still keeps on clicking.

The service manager is an absolute DICK! I will never ever deal with those clowns ever again. They are totally incompetent. The service writer expected some cash payola before he would get the truck fixed. When I refused, the service manager voided my warranty for some fictitious reason. If your vehicle is broken.... take it anywhere else! I love my Dakota but I HATE the service manager at Earnhardt's!

Bought new truck there, had first service done and their tech didn't even tighten the oil filter. They told me that is must have worked itself loose. I also had some aftermarket products installed and when they failed and damaged my vehicle they REFUSED to warranty their work. If they were the last dealer on the face of the earth, I would not let them look at my truck.

These guys wouldn't know service if it hit them in the head with a brick. They flat out treated me like I coolant afford to buy anything more than one of their used v6 rams (when I kept telling them I was looking at a loaded 5.9 v8 quadcab), and how I didn't know what I wanted, and about 500 other things that drove me through the roof. I went that same day to Chapman Autoplex Dodge in Scottsdale, Az and bought my Ram. I drove it to Earnhardt and got their General Manager and chewed him out. I also flaunted their loss of business to the salesman I worked with to make them know what they did wrong. I'll never, ever, EVER buy anything from Earnhardt

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
Took wife's Durango in for service, they forgot to put the oil cap back on. Second time I took my 98 Ram in (it was running fine)and they left off a spark plug wire and told me it needed $350 in repairs. They looked at it 3 times and insisted it needed the $350.00 tune up. I had to show the service manager the wire grounded to the engine mount. He claimed they did not do it deliberately.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
Nightmare would best describe the experience, there is not enough room here to give all the details. How about waiting six months for a 5th wheel tailgate, already paid for, to be painted to match truck. That is just the beginning.  Take your Dodge diesel to Cummins SW in Phoenix for quality service. Stay away from Earnhardt's and their RV stores at all cost
