Service just doesn't have a clue. Examples:
1) Took 03 durango in for warranty brake problem. Fixed brakes well, stated
that I had cross threaded one of the studs so they had to replace, but they'd
cover it. Damn right they'd cover it, truck was 3 months old and I'd never had
a wheel off of it. Then I did a walk around and found that they smashed the
finish on one of the rims ... I had to go get it repaired and submit the bill
back to them.
2) Took 04 Ram Diesel in because of transmission whine. So they replaced the
exhaust????? Second trip they fixed tranny, but screwed up the rear seal of
trans. After discovering the leak they finally replaced the seal and all was
good.
3) Took 04 Ram Diesel in because poor idle in when warm and in gear. They called
and said it was fine, after multiple calls I explained it was undrivable. Finally
explained that to warm up a diesel you have to actually drive it! So after giving
authorizing them to drive it a significant distance the problem was identified
and fixed.
They have always got any problems fixed eventually, but you have to have time
to waste, and don't ever expect to talk to anyone other than a minimum wage
counter rat.

Bought new 2001 Dodge 1500 fully loaded on Dec 26/01 from Langley Chrysler.
In Feb 06 I took truck to dealership for drive line service and water noise
in dash. Truck had approx. 125000 km on it at that time. I had been disappointed
with them before but they called so I tried them again.
After service they said that the posi part in the rear-end was gone and it needed
a new rear-end. They said that extended warranty would not cover it. I argued
but lost. They also charged to do diagnostic on water noise and replaced thermostat
gasket. Truck was in for week not cleaned. On Nov 9/06 truck went in again for
water noise. Charged for diagnostic to find water noise and they replaced the
thermostat gasket again. Also found a leak in drive line that they say was not
there in Feb. Called to complain to service manager 3 times still waiting now
over 2 weeks for call back.

I've taken my vehicles for the past two years to this dealer for service - and
I get all my parts and accessories there as well. Never had a problem and they
have always gone out of their way to make my experience at their dealership
pleasant.

In 2001 i bought a 1999 caravan with 34000kms. after 7000kms the brakes had
to be replaced. I was assured that this van was completely checked out. possible
but i don't think so. Bought the oil change for life and have had my van washed
once in ten trips there. Also had a serpentine belt replaced in sept03. in jan04
idler-tensioner ceased causing belt needing to be replaced. they want me to
pay for new belt because idler warrantied but not belt. How unfair first belt
lasts 70000kms new one 8000 and they say i have to pay for it.
even though i have rarely bought from dealerships, langley chrysler service
is so bad i will never buy there again.

They have the worst service department i have ever been to. They are scum of
the earth and they lack the capability of fixing anything. I have had so many
problems there over the years i have just given up on them. I took my truck
there not long ago and they said nothing was wrong with it i took it to a local
mechanic and they fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. If they don't even
know the problems of their own makes of cars then they need to go back to school.
I have had no their problems with any other chrysler service departments. I
still recommend midas and your local mechanic shop over a chrysler service shop
they charge you 3 times the price that the parts are even worth. If u have a
jeep brake problem go to midas. They it least know what they are doing
Buy your car from Langley Chrysler but get it fixed at Freeway Chrysler. They
have a good reliable service department.
