This Dealership is shady, and they are weasels. I was lied to, and I can prove
it on paper. I was told by other people that this would happen, I didn't believe
them, I went back, went to my bank, got the financing, and only to have EXACTly
what I was told would happen, HAPPEN. Don't ever go to these liars, they are
conniving, shady non impeccable individuals.

I went to this dealership based on information from my brother who's boss bought
a vehicle there as well as a co worker who has bought 3 vehicles. I was looking
for a Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie quad cab 4x4 hemi in Jan 2004, they had one there
but it didn't quite have all the options that I wanted, Stuart Allan who was
my salesman and was new was very accommodating. I told him what I was looking
for, he showed what he had and because it didn't have all the options, I opted
to wait until June when I could pay for the truck outright. Here is what sold
on this dealership, they gave me a new Dodge Laramie ( didn't have heated seats
that I wanted ) that they showed me and told me take it home for a couple of
days, they filled it up with gas and took my a photocopy of my driver's licence
and a $100.00 refundable deposit and out the door I went. It was a very pleasant
experience not having a salesman in the vehicle so that we could test drive
the truck. I put it 2 days later ! with 175 kms...I wanted to put on more but
felt a little guilty, after all it was a new truck. They knew I was going to
buy in June, they didn't give me any sales pressure like all the other lower
mainland Chrysler Dealers did and the best part was...when I did get the truck
in June ( Factory ordered ) I got it for $5200.00 below msrp. Stuart made sure
that the tank was full and that it was prepped and cleaned. I think that I got
excellent sales service. A couple months later they mailed me a copy of Greg
Moore's Life in Indy.
Love the Truck....it hasn't given me any grief what so ever

I can't say enough bad things about MRC. The salesman flat out lied to us about
the vehicle being from Alberta. After we bought it we discovered it was from
out of province, so we took it back and told them we didn't want a vehicle from
out of province. They reluctantly agreed to replace it with a similar model.
When we talked to the General Manager he tried to make us feel like we were
idiots for caring whether or not it was from Alberta. The undercoating had already
started to rust and was on bad shape. I had to call him almost every day to
try to get him to locate us another vehicle and very often would avoid my calls
and/or not call me back as promised. What is also very funny is that not only
did they not do anything to the salesman who lied to our faces but the promoted
him to assistant manager. We finally did get the vehicle we wanted, a caravan,
but we will never go back there again.
When this first started to happen my wife did some minor damage to the back
when she was backing up. So in our infinite wisdom we just had it fixed there.
After the fixed the dent we took it home, on the way home I noticed the left
turn rear signal was out, where they had fixed the dent, and checked to make
sure it just wasn't a bulb. I took it back and wanted it fixed and the service
person looked at it and told me it was going to cost me $300. They claimed it
was coincidence that it happened to break when they were fixing it. He then
told me that he could "split" it with me, like he was doing me a favor.
I said no f'ing way was I going to pay a dime for something they did. He kept
trying to show me that they couldn't have possibly did it and I held firm. He
finally got pissed off at me and said that I didn't have to pay.

I'm writing this in response to two glowing reports and the fact that the people
that wrote them are long-time customers. It would appear that "long-time"
is the key phrase in getting good service from this dealership. Several years
ago I was having transmission problems. The vehicle was a '93 Voyager with 105K
and the warranty had expired. Because I needed ride into Vancouver and my friend
lived close to MRC, I decided to let them look at it instead of my regular dealer.
I got a call later in the day to say my transmission was shot and it would cost
$2700 to replace it. I didn't have $2700 so I told them not to do anything.
I then took it to my regular dealer (at the other end of Maple Ridge) and they
replaced the transmission at minimal cost to me. Plus they loaned me a car free
of charge while the work was done. I later found out about Chrysler's "secret
warranty" on this particularly lousy transmission which I'm sure MRC must
have known about.

My experiences dealing with Maple Ridge Chrysler have been horrible. Unfortunately,
I also purchased an Old Republic extended warranty through Chrysler which has
been a nightmare as the dealership and warranty company have been playing Good
Cop/Bad Cop with me. Neither company are willing to fix repairs needed and deny
the problems with the transmission exist, even though I drive the vehicle everyday
and fear I am a danger on the road until this repair is done. I have essentially
been called a liar and have yet to get my vehicle repaired after 4 days of it
already being in the shop. My advice to anyone who is looking for a vehicle
in the BC lower mainland is to avoid Maple Ridge Chrysler as I have been charged
for disability insurance when I had declined, my signature had been forged,
my warranty has been a complete waste of money and the service department is
full of fast talking slackers.

I have been dealing with Maple Ridge Chrysler since the early seventies. I have
purchased all the vehicles for my family and myself from them. (Approximately
8-10 vehicles) Most of the staff have been there all the years I have been coming.
I can't say I NEVER had a bad experience BUT they have ALWAYS been honest and
forthright with me and my wife.
I have been dealing with the same person in service since 1982. This dealer
sells the most cars of any in BC and from all my visits I can see why. They
have long term people you can talk to. I guess you can tell I'm a fan of the
MRC family.

I was looking on the internet and noticed that my dealer for the last 23 years
was being unfairly slagged. I have bought over 9 vehicles from Maple Ridge Chrysler
and think that it is a SHAME that no-one writes in to say what a great experience(s)
they have had. I have also serviced all my Mopars at this dealer and found them
just fine. I have always been treated fairly and when there is a problem (which
has happened) they do their best to listen and fix it. This is why I keep going
back and why I keep sending people to them. I would definitely recommend this
dealer to anyone.

I would never go back to Maple Ridge Chrysler again because we had a car for

had put us through the financing office for this vehicle of which we had not
decided on yet. Since that day we have not been back and will not ever go back
to a dealership that is so cocky.

I fought tooth and nail with this particular sales team to get the best deal
out there. My salesman was new to the dealership and did not really know much
about their policies. He tried his best to get me what I wanted and for the
prices I was thinking of paying. I think that if they want to keep being a 5-star
dealership they should do more training of their staff in people policy. I overheard
one sales person belittle a customer when they did not understand what he was
saying. That is wrong. Not everyone understands the sales/financing facets of
buying vehicles and a salesperson should have more patience with the buyer.
If I had been that particular client I would have reported the salesman and
walked out without buying the vehicle. That is definitely not good salesmanship.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=No,
This dealership is guilty of False and Misleading Advertising. We saw an ad
for a vehicle we wanted to purchase. I called a salesman Dan, asked many questions
and wrote down everything he said. Everything in the ad was supposed to be true
at this point. We made the trip to the dealership, we test drove the vehicle.
Dan tries to prove the vehicle is in good mechanical condition. He telephoned
the supposed previous owner and we spoke to him, asked him questions about the
vehicle. We could be talking to anyone, there is no proof this person was the
previous owner, does he not realize we seriously question this? This proves
nothing about the mechanical condition of the vehicle to me. In fact, it did
the opposite. Does he think we are so easily fooled? This is odd, to say the
least.
Soon it becomes clear that everything in the ad, and everything he told me on
the telephone was a lie. Plus the selling price of the car goes up $1,000.00.
(I take good notes.) The price for the vehicle is too high, so we walk away.
Dan did not seem to want to sell us the car. We were very interested in the
vehicle, but not fools either. Buyer Beware is the rule.
The salesman calls back a few days later and offers the vehicle for an even
higher price. $500.00 higher. Does he think we do not notice this? Seven days
later he calls to tell us the vehicle is at another dealership and is the price
we want to pay. This turns out to be another lie.
I telephone this dealership. I make contact with a salesman, who tells me he
received a call from our salesman telling him we would be out that day to buy
the vehicle? We go out to this dealership the next day, they have trouble finding
the vehicle. The vehicle price is the same as the original price at the Maple
Ridge Dealership.
Conclusion: The Maple Ridge dealership does not seem to want to sell cars, and
plays games with customers. The Maple Ridge dealership wasted out time. We are
happy we did not buy from them, and no one in our families will ever buy from
them. We will make sure everyone we know avoids this dealership like the Plague!.

My daughter went into the dealership wanting to trade her car for a newer one.
She was offered thousands less than even the blue book value and the car she
wanted was overpriced by close to five thousand dollars. The "push pull
or drag" sale is the bait to get you in, after small talk the salesmen
go for a test drive, come back and mumble how her car really isn't worth it
but since "you seem like a nice person" they are willing to "make
a special deal" When she called to tell me what a great deal she was getting
I told her to get in her car and get home. She sold the car privately, made
a deal with another Dodge company up town and saved at least $7,000.
I hope hell has a special place for shady car salesmen.

After several trips between dealers I was promised the "best deal in town.
The quote which I admit was not written would have saved me roughly four thousand
dollars. When I returned the next day I was told my truck had been sold the
night before. They tried to tell me it was such a terrific buy another long
time customer jumped right in and took it home after I had left. I was offered
another vehicle which was supposed to be better for an extra two thousand. Once
they added taxes and who knows what, including the extended warranty which would
save me thousands if needed, we came to a price that was almost six thousand
more than the original deal. I was shown the truck, while the salesman claimed
it was different, it looked identical to the first truck I had wanted to purchase.
After getting the run around I finally chose another dealer in a nearby city
and got an honest deal. I took the truck in for service three months later to
the dealer in Maple Ridge, I was charged for an oil change that likely didn't
happen judging from the color of the oil, ended up with a hamburger wrapper
in the back seat, thirty dollars missing from the ashtray and several burn marks
in the front passenger seat. Never again ! Thanks to Dodge for giving us another
good reason not to buy their vehicles.

My husband and I wanted By a Truck so we looked around for the best deal and
found it at Maple Ridge so we drove there from Chilliwack to check it. We order
the truck that we wanted which was a 2001 Dodge Dakota. The truck arrived almost
4 weeks from the date we were promised. When it arrived the windshield was cracked(
no big problem can be fixed) the front dash had three big piece missing from
it and there was McDonalds garbage in the back. We drove the truck home and
it went downhill from there. Our air conditioning didn't work right and i had
to argue with them about it because they treated me like I was stupid because
i was a women like for me my parents owned a 2000 dakota so i could compare.
Turns out the it's was properly sealed and it didn't work. My cruise control
didn't work over 100k/hr they told me that no cruise controls and be set over
100 funny that my parents worked. They said so can't fix it. My four low didn't
work either they said i shouldn't have 4x4 in it to wreak it this is all happen
in under 5000 km. The brakes bad rotors had to replace by 5000 kms and then
at 10000 because they were gone and warranty didn't fix it go figure. I wish
i never would have bought the truck and kept our old vehicle at this it worked.
I traded that truck in a Maple Ridge was a Jeep and that was over a year ago
and I'm still waiting for them to fix the problems they promised to fix on it!!!!!!
Maple Ridge is the worst dealership ever and so are the staff.
I will never buy another dodge as long as I live and anyone we know who is thinking
about buying one we share our experience and so far we don’t know anyone
to buy one because I wanted them to know how sh***y they are made!!!!!

I went in looking at some vehicles they advertised in the local paper. They
are overpriced to put it mildly, the salesman was lying through his teeth. They
actually have the nerve to tell you what a great deal they are giving you and
yet the other Dodge dealership has similar cars for thousands less. After a
test drive can't get you into the office fast enough and suddenly the price
goes up another three thousand dollars for taxes, etc....The deal we made on
the lot was far different than the one that came out of the "sales office" Tried
to sell me a car based on the owners position in the community, as if having
a son who raced cars makes for an honest businessman. A word to the wise, hang
on to your wallet, take everything with a grain of salt and run, don't walk,
run as fast as you can.

Not quite sure if they were as bad as my neighbor told me, I went to this dealership
and told them I wanted to trade my van for a newer model. Was given a bottom

drive, I put a mini recorder under my seat, they were sure they could make a
hell of a deal - turn around and sell my van for thousands more than they tell
me it's worth, the price they paid for the trade vehicle was eight thousand
more than they told me. I think this is one for the press to hear about. Hope

Took a look at a 2002 Caravan advertised in today's paper for $24,488 - it was

discuss price starting with the difference of about $2500 he told me that if
I offered the old price it would be rejected. Tried to tell me the vehicle was
"not the one shown in the old ad" Sounds like a real pro - He then
tried to interest me in another "deal" Didn't mention anything about
the prices going up and down like a cheap elevator.

Update on experience - traded Durango for Sunfire GT ( after telling them I
wanted a vehicle of same or lesser value - money back if less ) After letters
and phone calls back and forth - The bottom line from the "sales manager" was
that my request that I be refunded about $6,000 and they keep $1,000 for the
"work involved in the trade" was unreasonable. They can't possibly do business
that way, a profit of only one thousand dollars is not acceptable. The offer
to return $800 is final.
Not only will I tell everyone I know to stay as far away from this dealership
as possible, I will make sure they are held accountable for false and misleading
advertising - telling me the bold faced lie that a 2000 sunfire GT is worth
21,000 (though originally they say 23,900) and making the trade on that false
information. This is not over.

I went to this dealership after seeing their ads in the local paper. The cars
they advertised on sale were not really on sale - They promised cash back, but
what that really meant is I could borrow cash that is added onto the already
overpriced car's loan and pay interest rates that are criminal. They say you
get cash back, spending sprees, and even so bold as to say that prices are reduced
- I saw prices going up and down like a yo yo week after week. Salesman I talked
to came across as very sleazy - you know the type "This is an honest family
oriented dealership - we never lie or cheat anyone" WHATEVER. Thanks to the
lady with the advertising in her window, directing me to this site and warning
