If you like being swarmed upon by the vultures/sales reps this is the dealership
for you.
30 min express oil change took 3 hours which would be acceptable if they told
you this up front. Why give someone a 7:30am appointment for an oil change if
the mechanics do not arrive until 8:30am??????????

Just picked up the truck, and before I got off the lot, checked out the work
they performed on the fender they "scratched" while doing some warranty work
there. The damn quarter panel won't hold a small magnet. Obviously this tells
me that there is a Bondo artist on the payroll at Downey Dodge. This little
"scratch" was already primered by the time I got off work to check it out at
the dealer.
Update.......... Had a meeting with the service manager and the manager of the
body shop behind the dealer. The service manager wouldn't get off the "Things
happen, what do you want me to do. I can't get the bed replaced, and the repair
we did looks good to me." I told him that first off the service writer and himself
were liars. They said the shop guy put a "scratch" in my truck. I asked the
body shop manager if is is customary to fill scratches with Bondo. Of course
he said no. So, I asked, why won't the damn magnet I took in stick to the area
that was replaced? Too much Bondo right? "There might be more than a little
there" was his reply. Obviously I know I will have to fight tooth and nail to
get any restitution from this dealer. I did have the body shop give me a written
guarantee that the repair will last as long as I own the truck. And if it didn't,
I could take the truck to any of its facilities and have the repair done again.
You know the saying, "It's better to be pissed off than to be pissed on?" Well,
the DOWNEY Dodge experience left me feeling both.....

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
Ordered through the Fleet department from a fellow named John Melendez. He got
the order just right, gave me the best deal anywhere (by far) and followed through
with prompt delivery of my new 2001 Ram better than expected!!! Absolutely the
best buying experience I've ever had and I've had a few... www.dodgefleet.com
is the place to find him.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
The sales lady was very good. BUT!! It went downhill fast after deciding to
buy! After dealing with this creep Al the finance mgr. After the deal was signed
and done, had the truck for 3 months, I start receiving letters how I owe them
Insurance money (they had my insurance proof the day after the deal was made),
big ordeal, I won, then got the same letters again! Fixed it again. Then they
backed out on my extended warranty, and... wanted MORE MONEY! Then got letters
and calls saying that they made a mistake estimating the cost of my registration
and wanted me to pay! After fighting back saying that this a signed contract,
now they are threatening me with lawsuits. Give me a break! They are still trying
to get more money after the deal is long done. Total snakes!! The sales lady
was very patient and helpful, thumbs up. The Sales dept staff have figured out
every way to rip the customer off. Big thumbs down.
