Check engine light came on and car lost power and kept stalling. Towed it to the place of purchase and they took it to Dodge Fresno. The car is a Neon. They put it on the scanner and said it was the spark plugs. There is 27,000 miles on the car. Got the car back. Drove it two days and it happened again. Took it back and they said it was a spark plug wire. The car is not missing it stalls and loses power. Got the car back and 1 hour later it had the same problem. Had it towed to Dodge and this is when the problem started. I was patronized,(I'm a woman)humiliated, and lied to. I was told it was okay to drive a car with the engine light on. I said even if it's undrivable. I was told they put new spark plugs in and drove it what more did I want them to do. I said pay for my towing and fix the problem. I was told it was the other dealers fault because they should have checked the car out better when I bought it. I said I bought it 4 months ago is it suppose to never ! have a problem. They kept blaming everyone except themselves. I kept trying to tell them they needed to look deeper and they kept getting nastier and nastier. I have never been treated so rudely by a service department and I have been to plenty in my lifetime. I was even talking to the service manager who was so condescending that I had to call him on it and tell him just because I was a woman that didn't mean I was stupid. The service manager finally decided I was the problem and told me he wouldn't service my car and told the tow truck driver to take the car away. So after he told me he would pay for towing, which I have 3 witnesses to, he told me he never said that and that he would not fix my car. Basically he kicked me off his lot. The tow truck driver could not believe the way I was treated and said I had a very legitimate complaint and couldn't understand why Dodge just wouldn't fix it. This whole argument started over a $55 towing fee I felt they should pay because t! hey weren't fixing the problem or even trying to understand what it was. I have a bumper to bumper warranty and wonder if all warranty's get treated this way. Is it only the cold hard cash they like to receive and do they mess around with your car until the warranty runs out. Be advised, especially if you are a woman to not take your car to Fresno Dodge.

Took numerous trips (some more than two days) to fix the problem. They would apply fixes that did not work nor address my symptoms. They applied the wrong TSB. They could not duplicate the condition (cold stalling at warmup) because they would not duplicate the conditions. They would start it, warm it up and drive it into the shop before road testing. When I insisted I be there before they drove it and went with the service writer then they could duplicate the problem. But by the time we got back to the shop it was warmed up they had to keep it overnight again for the tech to drive it cold. Service department will argue with you over the parts you want and say there isn't any such part or try to sell you another one until you point it out on their computer which part it is. When trying to buy the parts to install a rear sway bar the parts man said there were too many parts to look up and that I'd be better off buying aftermarket. Called another dealer and they looked up the parts on the phone and ordered them for me.

Once you buy the truck the customer service is GONE! First day my truck had major problems. I brought it in many times to get fixed and the problem only got worse. I was told by the service writer to talk to the GM about it because they sold me the truck and let them deal with it. The GM's reply was....."what do you want us to do about it". After 9 months of trying to get the same problem fixed, I got yelled at by the service writer in front of customers that I was a liar and had filed a complaint on them and they didn't appreciate it. I would have no customer shuttle rides or rental cars ever again so if I was unhappy I could just leave. He told me they did not build the truck so it wasn't their problem. All the trucks do that and I needed to just deal with it! The GM told me to take it up with Chrysler Dodge, so I did which resulted in a Formal complaint filed against them as well as an investigation. All I wanted was my truck fixed not a bunch of attitude. Is that so hard to ask for?
I paid a small fortune for a truck that has an exhaust leak they couldn't fix and took them 6 months to find but still did not fix and a buckled door that hits the door jam all the time to the point that the doors now strike each other and paint is coming off both doors......which after taking it to another dealership the first time, said that the door had a factory defect ( it was buckled and did not fit in the door jam, a defect they found in the first hour. They showed me where it was bent and it is very visible to even my untrained eye) and I needed to take it back where I bought it and get it returned on the Lemon law. I am pursuing that right now but why didn't Fresno Dodge find it after 10 tries????

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I'm not quite sure why the Fresno Dodge has a five star rating. We try to avoid taking our truck there as much as we can!!! We have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. The first experience we had with the service department was when we got our oil changed. They rotated our tires and broke off two lug nuts. They gave us our truck back with out fixing the lug nuts. Thank God I ran over a nail the next day and noticed they were missing. I couldn't believe they would do that. We took our truck in a demanded it to be fixed. We Got our truck back and when a couple of months later we had a problem with the master switch for the windows. The only window that would work was the driver's window. We took the truck in and showed the service tech the problem. He then Relayed to us that it was probably the master switch. We left the truck there at 4 pm. They told us we would get the truck back tomorrow afternoon. We called the next day at 3pm, and no one would help us. Then we got a call at 5:30 pm and they said they still hadn't looked at the truck. So we waited one more day then they called and said we couldn't duplicate the problem. AFTER WE SHOWED THEM WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS!!!! We told them to Change the master switch and they told us they would have to order the part. Finally the called us a week later saying they had the part. We took in the truck and then they finally fixed it. A couple of months later after camping we got home from our trip. Shut off the truck to unload the truck then we tried to start the truck to put it in the garage. It would start. We thought oh great we have to take it back to Fresno DODGE! So we get it towed at 6 pm. We received a call at 6:47 am asking what the problem was. We told them the problem and asked if we could get a loaner car so we could get to work and home. He told us he would get back to us. We still haven't heard from him. We call to find out the status on our truck. The service lady answered the phone we gave her our information and she said "You know we are 2 days behind on fixing our cars" we asked "Well has anyone even looked at the truck?" She said "Maybe Maybe not" We asked "well which is it Maybe or Maybe not?" She paused then said Maybe not" Frustrated we hung up and called back to speak to a manager. We were connected to Voice mail (Of course). We left a message regarding our complaint with our name and phone number. We still haven't heard anything. We Will NEVER take our truck there again. I would rather drive 45 minutes out of my way then take our truck there again. We are even considering trade it in for a Toyota or Chevy since I figure a new truck should not have these problems!
