Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Great deal on my 2003 Ram 1500. Had my Ram in for service twice. Both times
service was quick and complete. No back ordered parts or excuses. I even received
a free loner car and didn't even have to ask for it. My only regret is I didn't
get the Hemi. But at almost $4000 below the dealer invoice (including the factory
incentives) I can live with my 5.9L V8.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know,
This is sent as a heads up for a lot of people out there that don't realize
that Poway Dodge went under new management in Feb. 2001. I have bought 3 2500
4x4 diesels there and have been VERY, VERY happy with the sales process. There
is one person to see about these trucks and his name is John Long. He is the
fleet manager there and he is very knowledgeable about the trucks. Not to mention
that he is an owner of a diesel also. On the first truck it was in stock and
the price was very comparable to other places in San Diego that I had shopped
plus he knew about the truck. When you spend that kind of money you should get
someone that knows what they are talking about, and John did. Not to mention
there are some nice perks for those who live close to Poway that buy there.
I have been very happy with the service that John and the sales dept. have given
me. Those who haven't been there since it was changed over really should give
them another chance. They really care about the customer. That is why I have
bought 2 more there for my company.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Just bought out by someone who owned a Saturn dealership. Brought all his own
people in. Took my Durango in and was told I'm not really familiar with Dodges.
Took the Durango and left. Afraid to take my Ram there. The only diesel tech
they had got canned in the buyout.

Sales=Good, Service=Excellent,
Brought in my Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2L for a bad fuel pump under extended (no
factory ) warranty. Kent helped me immediately and was VERY knowledgeable! He
was even a fellow Off Roader! I've had numerous problems at the Jeep dealerships
so I decided to try a Dodge dealership(same Chrysler motor) He set me up in
a loaner car since the Jeep was there overnight and Jeep was fixed the next
day. Kent is very helpful/knowledgable would recommend him completely.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I purchased this truck new in May 98. 2500,4X4,Quad Cab, Cummins 24V engine
5spd manual. The fuel gauge went out five times. Each time I brought it to Poway
Dodge. The first four times it was replaced under the vehicle warranty. The
fifth time it was covered under the repair warranty. The first four times I
was told that "bad fuel" was eating away at the seals of the sending unit. I
asked if this was a common problem. I have four friends with the same truck.
No problems. The answer was "not that I know of". The fifth time I brought it
in I was told "I guess we will have to find out what's causing the failure".
They replaced the "module" on top the fuel tank. They did give me a free rental.
So far its worked. Other problems I have had at Poway Dodge. Regular service.
I always provide them with a typed instruction sheet of exactly I want done.
Twice when I picked up my truck all the work was not done. Example: the tires
needed to be rotated. I marked the front tires with chalk on the inside. The
bill showed the tired were rotated but upon inspection I found the front tires
were still on the front. "Some one made a mistake". I asked that the alignment
be checked and pointed out to the service advisor the abnormal tire wear. When
I picked up the truck the alignment was "fine", the wear I was seeing was "normal
for such a heavy truck". When I bought tires a month later at Evans I was told
that my alignment was "way out" and this was evidence by the "abnormal tire
wear" that I already knew about. Each time I brought my truck to Poway Dodge
I had to clean the interior. Grease on the steering wheel,door panel,and carpet.
Tell you what,now that my truck is out of warranty Ill bring it somewhere else!

Sales=Good, Service=Don't Know,
I have found the service advisors here (Kent and Michael) to be very helpful.
They will go into detail with a answer for me and will always call with updates
and when the vehicle is ready (98 Ram). I've never experienced any problems
with them like I've had with other San Diego dealerships.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Service department incompetent, unprofessional,liars. They go out of there way
to discourage good customer relations. Their service writers and mechanics are
not properly trained (a long story). The sales staff wanted me to dry up and
blow away as soon as they got the money and never followed through on their
promises.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
stupid, lazy, incompetent, non-caring, ...need I continue? three trips
to confirm that the right passenger speaker no longer worked. 4 weeks
later still could not determine if they even ordered the part. Service manager
never returned my call.
