I had my 1997 dodge intrepid towed to valencia/power dodge with a bad transmission,
this is its3rd transmission. It took them 3 weeks to replace my transmission,
then when I picked it up, the cooling fans no longer worked. I called them to
tell them and they said bring it back and we will give it a quick check, my
service person Gerald was rude and condescending to me and refused to take any
responsibility to fix it, with out me saying I would pay more to find why my
fans suddenly no longer worked, after we had words and he lied to me and said
they did nothing under the hood, I took my car home and bought a repair manual,
after inspecting my fan system, I noticed a connection was not connection, this
has happened when they have done other work on my car, but this time, the connector
from the fan to the sensor has been melted and no longer working, my friend
who helps me out since my husband passed away said the melted parts looked real
resent and it looks like they shorted it out and then just kind of put it together,
although the fans were not working properly, its $167.00 for a new fan motor
or 260.00 for a whole new fan assembly and you can only buy the motor for the
fan at dodge. While I was awaiting for the transmission to put fixed they called
and told me the fuel pump was bad and I said no it wasn't. So they then said
it was my security alarm, when I brought them the security alarm clicker, everything
appeared to work correctly, but they say they fixed my security alarm, there
was nothing wrong with the alarm and they wanted to disconnect it for $250.00,
when I said no they backed off and now I have paid 1150.00 for a rebuilt transmission
and my car over heats because the fans are now broken, and they were working
fine when I called them to repair my transmission. I am very angry and will
never go there again. My car is a lemon and I am a recent widow and every where
I take it, they try and scam me. Thanks, for my opinion, I hope others don't
get ripped off like I have. When I called to report this to the service manager
they told me he is on vacation.
I am angry that this dealership treats women like they are stupid and I am disgusted
with their customer service techniques.
