The service department is not very good. In the time since I bought my new vehicle
I have been using my lifetime oil change and on several occasions been asked
to buy services that are overly expensive. I was told the cost of changing all
the fluids in the car would amount to over $800. This service was completed
by a different shop for 1/4th the cost. This service center has told me to purchase
an "undercarriage cleaning" for the cost of over $1000. Again I declined,
as this is the first vehicle that I have ever heard of that required such an
expensive service. Also, when I inquired with other service stations, none of
them had ever heard of that either. Sales staff is fine, the product is fine,
but the service department tried to screw me a few times. The parts department
was honest enough to tell me when my tires were bald, that they could not be
very competitive with pricing for new tires, and gave me ideas of where to look
for better pricing and quality. I commend them for that.
The service department always makes me fill out a survey but they don't leave
any room for the comments that I had just made. They forced me to fill out a
survey that did not allow for the whole story of my experience to be told. I
just don't trust them with how they do things there.
I love my truck, but I don't ever have to go back to that dealer again.

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=No,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
On Nov 5th, my wife and I wanted to test drive a new Dodge Charger. The salesman
would not let us drive it alone and went with us on the test drive. He was sick
and was continuously coughing and hacking in the car. About 1 1/2 mile from
the dealership, the car ran out of gas. I had just taken over and had only driven
a few blocks. Even though the sales person called the dealership right away
for someone to come get us, it took well over 45 minutes for someone to come
pick us up. It was dark and cold outside and we did not feel like walking. They
really did not care that someone was stranded or not. There was no urgency put
on the matter. I only got to drive the car a few blocks and my wife never did
get to drive it. If we buy a Chrysler product, it will definitely be from a
different dealer.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor,
I took my Jeep in for a noise in the front end while still under warranty. The
mechanic told me it was the new Goodyear Wrangler tires that I had just installed
and not to worry about it. I recently took my Jeep in for a minor recall and
the service advisor told me I needed to have my front end checked out because
it was making a nasty roaring noise. It turns out it was the spider gear in
the front end. The Jeep is now out of warranty and I am having to pay for a
full from end overhaul. The service advisor told me it happened because I failed
to change the differential fluid at 24,000 miles as recommended by the service
manual. Since being told that I neglected to follow my service manual, I have
authorized Lithia to change the transmission fluid/filter and also replace the
rear differential fluid. I have always had good service in the past, I just
wished they would have fixed this when it was first discovered and still in
warranty. They have now hit me for $1400.00. Kind of frustrating for a vehicle
that never goes off road and usually sits in the garage!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Good,
My wife and her side of the family have purchased every vehicle from
this dealership for the past ten years. Many happy comments followed.
The entire family is pleased with the dealer and Tommy T, the manager.
