The Service department at Lithia Foothills Chrysler is the worst shop I have
ever dealt with. They performed repairs that I specifically told them not to
perform and then they held me liable for the repairs. They also said that when
I had a rear differential fail at 15k miles that they would not cover it under
the Dodge factory warranty because it was obviously driven inappropriately.
Which was complete bunk, the first year of owning that truck it saw about 10
miles of dirt roads and the rest of the time was driven on pavement very conservatively.
It also took four visits and getting the General Manager involved to have them
replace the sway bar bushings. About 40,000 miles later the rear differential
failed again and when I took it in they told me that the last person to work
on it, which was them, shimmed the differential out wrong. They then denied
it and said that since someone else who was obviously incompetent working on
dodge trucks did the repair, they wouldn't cover it under the warranty. This
time it took getting Dodge's corporate office involved and they still took 2
weeks to get it done. For a summary of this dealership, they are scam artists
who don't care about their customers and are just looking for the quick buck.
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Britt went more than extra mile to get me the vehicle that I wanted. My only
poor experience is that they removed another dealers badging, and scraped the
paint. 2 weeks later, and I still don't have an answer. This dealer is very
low pressure, felt very comfortable going there. Even their finance guy, Kip,
was low pressure. Not often seen in the finance office.

After our 1996 Caravan was recalled, called Al to schedule an appointment. We
scheduled an appointment, but when we got there, he said he did not have the
part and gave it to another customer. Al said he would call us as soon as they
received the part. We are still waiting. We were told if we have a "paid" repair
or maintenance, we could come in the any time and it would be done. Any type
of warranty or recall work they will NOT do because it does not bring in money
for the service department. After 2 weeks, we called the 800 number to complain
about the dealership and the person mentioned that they have received multiple
complaints about Lithia not doing recalls. We drove over 40 miles to another
dealership to have the recall done. What happened to customer service and keeping
a current customer satisfied. We are going to buy a new car this year, but we
will NOT buy it from Lithia! Will someone at Chrysler do something to keep a
loyal Dodge customer from buying another brand of vehicle?

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
I bought my car there in May of 2002, and since then it has been in the repair
shop 3 times, in the last three weeks! The first time, they charged me $150
dollars to fix a $25 dollar part. Well the next week my car broke down and in
the shop it went again. They told me my warranty would cover the problem, so
I let them fix it. Big Mistake! The next day they called me and told me my total
was $215. Well here it is two weeks later, and the same problem just happened
again. They just can't seem to fix it right. So now I'm going to after pay even
more money to get it fixed again. I definitely wouldn't take my car there if
I didn't have to.
