I've been buying and servicing cars at modern motors for 10 years. They are
the most honest and upfront people I have ever been associated with at a car
dealer. We're very happy.

I went down to modern motors 3 times to work out a deal on a new Dakota. Finally
worked out a deal to order one from the factory and was told it would take five
weeks to come in. I asked the salesman (Todd Kindness) to call me and let me
know if I was approved for the 2.9 financing. He said no problem, he should
know in a day or two. A week goes by, and no call. So I call him and he says
I am all set,and he will call me when the truck is shipped. So five weeks comes
and goes with no call, then six weeks, then seven. So I call him and he says
that he never told me it would be five weeks,(LIE!!!) and he would talk to his
sales manager and call me right back. He never called back so I went down the
next day and got my deposit back! The sales dept. at modern motors are a bunch
of liars and B.S. artists. Avoid them like the plague.

We have a 99 Dodge Caravan,at 46000 miles the head gasket went. Chrysler had
a secret warranty on it and agreed to pay for all but 100$. Modern Motors had
it for 4 days and when we went to pick it up it had a exhaust leak. I took it
back they tried to pass it off as a EGR hose clamp that was loose...Wrong!!
Suddenly, I had to have the EGR gasket replaced AND the catalytic converter
gasket replaced. When I picked it up again the engine was ticking (Something
I had never heard before). I took it back AGAIN, they tried to tell me that
it was inferior oil (Anyone knows when you change a headgasket you change the
oil - apparently that isn't the practice at Modern Motors). They ADMITTED that
they didn't change the oil (They did it 3 repairs later!!!). As for the ticking
(which is getting louder and they admitted they heard it) they said it could
be the fuel injectors (which is a known problem on all caravans). The second
time they said it was the timing chain and they were NOT going to fix it because
it wasn't their problem - they said they didn't cause it. No noise before headgasket
repair---Now a ticking sound in engine I THINK IT IS THEIR PROBLEM!!! The service
dept at Modern Motors is HORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

They do not know how to diagnose correctly. Takes up to 4 or 5 trips back to
fix problem.
