had transmission totally redone in november 2003 (cost $1800.00) you would think
that was enough but no, monday january 5, 2004 i started having the same problems
as in november i took it in they kept it over night and supposedly fixed the
problem. Well wednesday when i went in my garage to leave for work and what
did i find? transmission fluid all over my floor (where my dog slept because
of the weather) . so wednesday i left work 2 hours early so i could once again
get my problem fixed, when i got there they said it was a plug they forgot to
drain. Well today is monday january 13 2004 and once again my van tore up on
my way home from work. when i called the dealership arnold the repair guy said
i could have it towed in.Well what about this dependable vehicle i bought so
i could take my children to school and myself to work? They could care less
how we get transportation as long as they get their van payment. I had no choice
but to rent a car so i could go to work tomorrow and take my children to school.
Will they fix my van right this time? I'll let you know tomorrow!!!
if you want a reliable vehicle that you can depend on to get you from here to
there, and want service with a smile don't go to hill kelly dodge in pensacola

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I originally bought a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab from Hill-Kelly Dodge. Everything
was GREAT! I drove 45 miles (past another Dodge dealer, to have my truck serviced
at Hill-Kelly. At 24,000 miles I decided to trade up to a more loaded 2001 Ram,
but Hill-Kelly did not have what I wanted so I bought it from Classic Dodge
(now Mark Dodge) in Mobile, Alabama. However, I still had servicing done at
Hill-Kelly. The only problem I had was just when my 2001 was going out of warranty,
I took it in. My usual fantastic service writer, Roger Rodebaugh, was on vacation
and I got a very abrasive service writer (don't remember his name, but he was
from New York). I complained about him, to the service manager and the manager
said he was surprised because he was his best writer. I noticed this last visit
that the abrasive service writer is no longer there. All of the other employees
have been so nice and helpful. Last August, 11,000+ miles out of warranty the
air-conditioner went out. The evaporator went bad and sprung a leak (since been
told Dodge trucks have bad evaporators that go out early). Local mechanic shop
quoted me $700. to replace it. I contacted Hill-Kelly and they offered to split
the cost with me 50/50. I said okay. I thought 50/50 of parts and labor, but
it was only half the labor I had to pay, which came to $187.50. I'm still very
happy with Hill-Kelly Dodge and do recommend them!!!

Sales=Good, Service=Fair,
experience=Sales person I had was very nice and helpful. I bought two cars,
a 2002 program Intrepid and a 2000 LHS. The LHS came with a 3 month 3,000 mile
warranty. The center speaker went out and that was covered. About a week later
it was warm enough to use the A/C for the first time (I bought the car in late
Dec). It didn't blow cold. I took it in as I still had about 10 days/200 miles
left on the warranty. They said the A/C wasn't covered and it would be almost
$1,000 to fix. I spoke with the general manager and explained that I haven't
even used the A/C since it was winter. He did some checking and said the A/C
passed the trade-in inspection before it was resold. Long story short, he offered
to split the cost of parts and labor with the dealer making no profit. Even
with this I was out nearly $400. I figured the problem should have been covered
under the warranty. Maybe I should be grateful they agreed to split the cost?
I'm torn. If they were right and the A/C wasn't covered, then good on them.
As far as service and appointments go, don't both. I have brought my car in
for service to find the parts that were on order never arrived and have sat
in the break room for almost an hour for an oil change, and I HAD AN APPOINTMENT!!!
All in all I got a good deal and felt I was treated pretty well. I will go back
to at least see what they have to offer. On another note, the quality of the
Chrysler cars I bought leaves a little to be desired.

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know,
I had a vehicle on order and the sales dept. absolutely was incompetent and
untrustworthy. My problems with the sales staff went from the sales person to
the sales manager than to the general manager. The members of management were
courteous but they did not get the paper work right when asked and warned of
what the sales person had done. I went back several times after the sale so
they could get the paper work straight but they never took the time to fix it
properly, after the fifth time I told them they had ONE more chance to get this
figured out and sure enough they fouled up again. I believe in giving everyone
a chance after a mess up, but I will NEVER buy another vehicle from Hill Kelly
Dodge again! I have since been warned by several other's that they too have
had major problems with the sales staff and were very dissatisfied. If you do
purchase from this dealership double and triple check your paper work and GET
EVERYTHING IN WRITING no matter how small or simple it is and don't leave a
thing up to them; follow through on everything yourself......Good luck !
I was told that I would have to pay for DC incentives that were offered because
the sales team did not realize that I had special pricing on my vehicle. I checked
with legal council and I found that Hill Kelly Dodge was full of it and it was
a scare tactic to raise their profits. I don't mind that the dealer wants to
make money but when they have NO INTEGRITY that is just bad business ! This
is not personal, I would just like to warn anyone who might be looking for advice
about Hill Kelly Dodge BE CAREFUL and get EVERYTHING in writing absolutely EVERYTHING
!!!!!
