bought Dodge Caravan on Dec 2002. Initially there was no problem with the car. After about ten months all kinds of problems started cropping up. Blinking malfunctioning headlights, problems with the window motor, problems with the auto sliding door, problems with the electric and computer and a recurrent power steering problem for which today was today makes the 7th visit. The service department is piss poor. The waiting areas and service bays are filthy and in disrepair. This is my third Caravan vehicle, and I have never had such a bad experience before. My last van had over 90,000 miles on it in 5 years, and never a problem aside from parts wearing out. I have to ascribe the problem to a crappy dealership. Will trade vehicle as soon as am able and will not buy Dodge again.

Sales=Fair, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
At purchase time of a new 2005 Dodge Magnum it was recommended that I have the paint and interior treatment done which would give me a 5 year warranty on the paint and against fading of the dash and stains on the interior fabric. I took the coverage. It was only after I got home I found that the treatment has to be renewed every 7500 miles, which I have to do. I returned to the dealership and asked about the product for renewing these treatments and was told the dealership did not carry the product. I also asked why it was not explained to me that this renewal was necessary. I received no explanation. On my return for the 3000 mile oil change, I was told that appointments were necessary. I made the appointment for 9:00 am on a Saturday. At 11:00 when my car had not been serviced, I asked about the delay and was told that Saturdays were very busy and there were a lot of cars in front of me. I reminded the writer that I had an appointment and he told me t! hat did not matter since on Saturdays were so busy. I asked about the reason for the appointment and he told me it was their policy. Of course I asked about all those people who came in without an appointment and he told me that they had to be taken care of too. None of this made any sense. I complained to the salesman who sold me the car, and as an effort to appease me, he gave me a kit containing the renewal product for my paint and interior treatment. The same stuff that they earlier told me they didn't have. There is some logic here I cannot begin to understand.

Got my first oil change on my brand new 2003 dodge 3500 at 4000 miles. Did not tighten the oil plug correctly while diving down the turnpike it came off letting all the oil out. Not going to do a damn thing about it. Left truck at dealership been there 2 months.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I brought my vehicle in for a 9:30am appointment, specified there was a vibration/thumping in the rear of the vehicle that sounded like a flat tire. They held the vehicle all day without looking at it until 3pm. After my 4th phone call to the dealership they informed me the technician could not identify the problem and the manager was going to drive the car to see if he could duplicate the problem. He called me back and told me I needed both rear and front brakes and I could pick the car up on Saturday by noon. By noon Saturday, we were informed they had just then sent someone for the brake pads. At 3:15 we we informed we could not pick the vehicle up until Monday.
On Monday, we picked the vehicle up, and after $441.18 later, we had the EXACT same problem. We returned to the dealer and identified AGAIN that it feels like a bad left rear tire, after they placed the vehicle on the lift, we were shown the tire tread had actually separated from the tire and their technician never caught the problem. They agreed to give us the tire at cost with no labor charge (nice of them after charging me $400 for bakes that could have waited) and at 3pm Monday, they still did not have the vehicle ready.
At 5pm, we were told they were having trouble finding the tire, amazing since it was stock tire on the vehicle, and we are STILL waiting.
