Sales=Avoid, Service=Fair, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
My husband and I recently purchase a Town and Country 2003 van at Dallas Dodge
in Dallas Georgia. We traded a 2000 Dodge Durango which was a leased vehicle
in on it. We did this in April, our lease on the Durango was up in May. They
said oh yes go ahead and trade early, no problem, we will get you out of your
lease free and clear. We stayed in there one Saturday for 4 to 6 hours lost
time of how long lets put it this way it was a long long time. They could not
get our payment on the van where we wanted it so we went home. Before we even
got home the sales manager had called us with another rebate he had found. Still
not enough saving, Monday the salesman we was dealing with Dan Moore, calls
with another deal, got you where you need to be with a certain amount of cash
down. My husband was going out of town, so I told him we would be back in when
he returns. Oh no not good all these rebates ended by April 30th this was the
28th I was talking to him, in the evening time. My husband was leaving for out
of town at 4:30 am the next day. I made a special effort to go that evening
to Dallas Dodge, where my salesman had already gone home, and left another saleswoman
there to give me the papers. Got all the papers took them home we read them
all. Signed where we were supposed to and I took them in the next day. Left
the Durango, which they did not drive or anything. Gave them my deposit on the
van, and left with the van. I had to go back to leave them another key, also
realized I should have had the old license plate off of the Durango. Anyway
since all of this, they told me the warranty covered flats and key lock outs,
funny they stopped doing that. How they do their paper work I do not know. All
I know is that when our payment was due we had nothing with an account # on
it, I called Chrysler had no record of us getting the van only that we turned
in the Durango, called to talk to the finance manager Paul. Very rude to say
the least did nothing for me, called my salesman back and said look you need
to help me here, he did get in touch with Chrysler, and I finally called to
get account info. and mailed. Now to top it off. I got a bill for the final
lease payment due. Called up Chrysler no problem, and tell them, I traded the
Durango in April, should not have to make May payment. Oh no,not what she says.
You need to talk that over with your salesman. Called him, said "Dan what
is up here? Oh I am so sorry you had so much trouble, I will see what's going
on." To make a long story as short as I can, the manager there which is
name is Doyle, says oh yes I have wrote down here you have to pay finally lease
payment. I was like no we did not agree to that. Why would I want to make 2
payments in the month of May and only have 1 vehicle, I would of just waited
until May and traded out right. He says this salesman told me which he did not.
It is our word against theirs. But I Will tell you I am a honest person, and
this information was never told to me. We would not have gotten this van, there
is a lot more Chrysler dealerships we could of gone to. They are not a trusting
dealership. This has been our 4th vehicle we have gotten from them, and really
felt there were a honest dealership. It has definitely changed. I will tell
anyone who is interested in going there go else where they are a back stabbing
dealership. We now have to pay our last month payment on a vehicle which we
did not even have in the month of May, to keep our credit good. It feels like
they took a knife and stabbed us in the back, we did not sign anything saying
we would do that, but from our previous lease we were obligated to 36 months
of payments. Now they sold us the van which we our now stuck in. But I will
tell you something, they will never ever hear a kind word from us. We will never
be back in the future, and we hope to get the word out as much as we can, so
know one else will have to deal with what we have had to deal with. There is
a reason car salesman don't stay anywhere long, because they don't care about
anyone but their mighty $$ that goes in their pocket, and they will do what
it takes to reel you in. Some BEWARE OF DALLAS DODGE IN DALLAS GEORGIA!!!!!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
Went to get an oil change and some other routine work done. Also went to get
muffler shield rattle fixed. They pointed to an oil spot on the rear engine
seal and told me it was about $600 to fix. I declined and started looking for
another truck since this was almost the amount of a down payment. I did have
them fix the rattle. On the way home, the truck started rattling again.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid, bought there=yes, scv_there=yes,
Good experience with sales department when I bought my new 2500 QC 4X4 in 1999.
1) First experience with the service department was for the hitch receiver recall.
No problems getting the repair done, but a few weeks later I discovered that
they left some of the bolts on the hitch loose. Some of the bolts actually fell
out.
2) I took it back and they did fix their mistakes, but the mistakes shouldn't
have happened in the first place especially when performing a safety recall.
3) Next trip to the service department was for the 30,000-mile auto transmission
service. They kept the truck all day and did not call me when it was finished.
4) The fun begins. After getting a check engine light, with the diesel engine
running very rough I limped it to the dealer at 7:00 am. The service writer
said they could look at it that morning. At 12:00 pm I have not heard from Dallas
Dodge yet. I called them to check on my truck. They said they have not looked
at it yet, but it would be next. 3:00 pm and still no call from Dallas Dodge.
I called them again. They said they found a bad crank position sensor and would
cost about $150.00 to fix. I told them to fix it and call me when it was done.
It's now 4:30 and no call from Dallas Dodge. The service department closes at
6:00 pm so I called them again. They said it would be finished that evening
but they wanted to drive it in the morning, and they would call me when it was
done. Next day at 12:00 pm I still have not received a single call from Dallas
Dodge. I called them. They said it was done hours ago. I paid my bill and drove
the truck home. 6:00 am the very next day (today) I started it up to go to work
and the check engine light is on.
5) I drove it back to Dallas Dodge. I talked to the same service writer and
he said they would look at it right away, and call me when they found something
out. At 12:00 pm guess what? No call from Dallas Dodge. I called them. They
said that they looked at it and pulled the codes from the computer, but none
of the codes should have set off (on) the check engine light. They want to keep
it overnight to look at it again in the morning. I will only go to Dallas Dodge
one more time. That is to pick up my truck, fixed or not. I do not have a problem
with a service department that is having a tough time figuring out a difficult
problem. What I will not stand for is my truck just sitting there not being
worked on because they don't know how to troubleshoot the problem. If they don't
know how to fix it they should authorize me to take it to a Cummins garage.
I honestly think they are ignoring the problem hoping it will go away. In the
4 days they had my truck the only thing they did was change the crank position
sensor. This is a job I can do myself in less than an hour. All parts were in
stock.
I asked Dallas Dodge if they could do TSB 18-019-01 (Cold Idle Engine Warming)
while it was in for service. They said they would charge me $75.00 to do the
job (twice the shop labor rate at .5 hrs). I told them to do it. When I picked
the truck up, the service writer told me they could not find any TSBs for diesel
engine cold idle warming.

Sales=Good, Service=Excellent,
Service is beyond excellent, very honest. Asked them to replace serpentine belt
because of age, they told me it did not need replacing and showed me why it
did not need replacing. Can take truck in for oil changes etc and can wait on
it. Pricing is typical for dealer work but it is always good. I have never taken
the truck back for something they did not fix correctly , with 128,000 miles
they have done everything the manual says to do.
