We scheduled a routine check-up and paid the price. The suggestions of >$700 of brake repair was made. A second opinion visit to another national repair chain revealed the quote was $400 too much. DCD wanted $287 for a $20 part.
We have been told that for the $715.06 tune-up fee we got about $400 worth of parts and labor.
The last two times we had work there the technicians damaged the car. (Most recently the door panel was broken when the window was repaired.)
I can never recommend DCD for even an oil change!

The owner, Don Barrett took personal care of me along with his sales manager Chris, they were both fine gentlemen and did everything they said they would do. I've read some of the other responses on this dealership, most good, some not, and all I can say is that no one is perfect but this dealership cares about its customers and if someone isn't satisfied,it is probably because they aren't paying attention and didn't deserve what they wanted.

I bought a brand new dodge ram truck. I didnt realize it at the time, but i was entitled to a 500.00 discount (they knew it though) anyway, I was entitled to this discount because the auto insurance company I have offers it to anyone who uses their insurance. I presented my insurance card to the sales man for a test drive and he made a copy. Of course he didnt mention anything about a discount of 500.00. about a month later i found out about it from my insurance company. i called the dealship and was told too little, too late.
Never again will I or anyone i know buy from douglas county dodge

I have bought 2 cars from this dealership. One strange thing about them is its the only car dealer I have bought from (I have bought 6 cars in the past 6 years) that does not top your tank when you buy from them. You leave on fumes and limp to the nearest gas station. Anyway. they seem to be ok to deal with. My first truck I bought there was thousands less then Dallas Dodge. But the difference was lessened by a lower trade-in. The second vehicle, they gave me some off the price and $4000 more trade-in then Carmax would. Service is a mixed bag. I just had an oil change there and while driving around my oil cap came off!!! I had to fish it out of the middle of the street. I did call and had them send me a card for a free oil change. I have had other problems with service. This new 2003 has a problem with a shutter that is a known problem with the make/model. They have lessened it, but it is still there and it has taken 2 visits to get to this level. On my last truck, it took 2 visits to get my truck set up for towing. The first visit, they had installed my part that was ordered on someone else's truck. Then they offered an aftermarket tranny cooler. I asked if it would be covered if my tranny overheated since it was aftermarket and they said no. WHY OFFER? Second visit they find out it already has a cooler not listed on the parts list. My best service visit was when they downloaded a computer update on my 2001 quadcab that eliminated octane ping. Not a bad dealership. But they could do better.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
This is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with and will never go back. Service and sales both were a joke, and this is a 5 star dealer? come on DC, you can do better than this! It makes me feel good say that the way they treated me cost them 3 sales so far. 1. 2000 EX cab Cummins truck 4x4 loaded 2. 2001 4x4 Off Road loaded 3.2002 3500 dually 4x4 loaded w/ Cummins. That's about $120k so far. I deal with Scott Evans in Carrolton now. Excellent dealer, and you can actually talk to the owner ........in person! DC should pull Douglas Co. Dodge's 5 star rating and give it to Scott Evans!

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
Bought several accessories. Took the vehicle in one cold day after a hard to start situation. Turns out the PCM was bad. They said it would have to be ordered. I have called many times and after two years the part is still not in.

Sales=Good, Service=Fair,
I have bought 2 dodge trucks from this dealership. They seem to do a pretty fair deal, but I could have probably done better if I spent lots of time comparison shopping. NO PRESSURE TO BUY!!! Low/no pressure dealership...hard to find. I think it used to be a 5 star dealership but isn't now. The service department sometimes takes 2 or 3 times to fix a troublesome problem. Once called from a "quicky lube" type place to get the correct amount of A/T fluid to use and a service adviser gave me a wrong amount. Pays to do your homework before going to the dealer for anything besides routine care.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
Salesman was very honest and polite. It only took an hour to have my side steps and bedliner installed. I thought the service department did an excellent job, in a timely manner also. Very good dealership with real professionals. 08 Aug 2002

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
I brought my truck there to get the engine checked out. They said that I had a blown head gasket and it was still under warranty. They kept my truck for a whole day, and didn't even lay a hand on it except when they told me my truck was fixed and here are your keys.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
