Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
Bought a new 2003 Chrysler Voyager Minivan from these crooks. It was the worst
experience of my life. This was when they were running the rebates *cough...cough*
...they still are, in any case the salesman that I dealt with assured me that
if I didn't buy this vehicle "today" that the extended warranty and
cash back incentives were going to be going out on it. In fact he basically
said that he had inside information from Corporate that the incentives were
to be stopped in the next couple of days. I asked if he was positive that Dodge
wasn't going to run anymore incentives and if this was the best price I could
get on this Van. He absolutely assured me that indeed this was the best deal
going and if I didn't act now I'd lose out. You see I purchased on a Saturday
and on the following Monday in the paper what did I find...an ad for the exact
same model of minivans reduced by 3,000 dollars...a so called dealership incentive
by Dave Croft. I was sort of pissed if you know what I mean. I'm absolutely
positive that he had prior knowledge of the ad that was about to run on these
vans and was point blank screwing me over for a few extra dollars of commission.
I went an talked to him and the service manager and everyone else that I could.
None of them seemed to care that I felt like I'd got taken for 3,000 in two
days time. I might by another Dodge product but I'd NEVER NEVER buy from these
people again and I want to make a point of telling anyone else DON'T buy here
go somewhere else. In fact I told the sales manager that I would make it my
mission to make sure that Dave Croft lost more than the value of the van in
sales from this sort of crap. In short- Avoid Like the Plague!

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Bought a truck from them. The messed up on the taxes and then later stated it
was my problem. Had trouble with it while driving on highway (it would die at
65 miles an hour) Called because I drive 1 hr each way by myself. It was under
warranty. They couldn't fit me in until two weeks later. I paid to have it fixed
($5.00 part). Paint started to chip, again their words were it was my problem.
Service is rude.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
In regards to the compliant from dmcguire<at>charter.net. I asked the
service department at Dave Croft Motors about the complaint on this website
and was showed how they had kept the vehicle for a week and gave the customer
a 2003 vehicle to drive even though they chose not to purchase an extended warranty!!!
The service manager also drove the vehicle for 199 miles and the problem could
not be duplicated. What a shame to trash a dealer for a problem the customer
could not show and could not duplicate. As far as service goes, the dealership
has the highest customer satisfaction scores, according to Chrysler Corporation,
in the area. Maybe some problems cannot be fixed if they are not there!!!!!!
As far as the deals available at the dealership, my family and I have purchases
over 9 vehicles from Croft and have never found a better deal. You know, some
people just walk around with a chip on their should when trying to buy a vehicle.
Maybe that is the case her!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
Three strikes you're out!! Tried to purchase a Caravan at Croft back in 1998,
knew what a fair price would be and offered it up only to have the salesman
tell me "full list is what we're getting for these". "For every person like
you that walks we'll have another that buys, these are the hot and we will get
full list!" Went down the road and bought a Windstar at invoice price and have
had no problems with it so far (104,000 miles). Tried to order/purchase a 2002
2500 Dodge Ram, got the same damn story. Went down the road and ordered the
truck from Cassens in Edwardsville, Il for $1,200.00 less than Croft's so called
best deal! Now price shopping for a replacement for our Windstar......same story
again. Strike three you're out. What a shame for this place is only 3 miles
from our house. You would think this would be a motivator in trying to make
a sale...follow-up service, parts sales etc.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
we have had our vehicle in on several occasions for transmission problems and
engine problems. They can never seem to figure out what is wrong with the vehicle
because there are no computer codes and they can not get the problem to duplicate
when they have the vehicle. They have rebuilt the transmission once and we are
still having problems with it. Had to fight with the service dept to put a "co-pilot"
on the vehicle so that when the engine problem occurred we could record what
was going on. I had to contact the corporate office to get the co-pilot installed.
The service people tell me that even though the corporate office called them
to put it on the car it was still up to them to do it and that they don't have
to do anything that the corporate office tells them to do. The problem that
was found with the co-pilot got fixed but the engine is still running bad. Another
issue is when they have the vehicle, they have it for a couple days at a time
sometimes. I would think that they would give a free vehicle to drive since
we are out a vehicle, but no, they won't do that. We did not purchase the extended
warranty (advised not to by the finance person) so we don't get the free loaner.
They say this is the "norm" throughout the automotive industry. I have contacted
nearly all the dealerships around our area and said that if they keep your vehicle
over night that you get a free loaner. It's not in any type of warranty or anything,
just a common courtesy. Every time we take the vehicle down for warranty service,
talking to them is like pulling teeth. We are now looking for a SUV with 3rd
row seating and there are only a few out there, one being the dodge Durango,
but see if I purchase one, unless these people get on the ball.
