Sales=Poor, Service=Poor, Parts=Poor, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
On march 27th 2006 I entered Norwood Park Dodge and purchase a 2002 dodge neon
2 door sedan from Ray Dumelle, I was very happy with the car and I ask specific
questions about the maintenance of this vehicle before purchasing it, I specifically
stressed to Mr. Dumelle if brake work has been done to the vehicle and I was
brought over to I guess the service manager and was told there was complete
maintenance done to the vehicle including brakes and they would not sell a vehicle
to anyone without being properly maintain which turn out to be a complete lie,
because on 06/07/06 that is less than three months of purchasing the vehicle,
I bought it in for repairs and was told by your service department that it was
recommended, replacing the front brake pads and rotors $376.00 also replacing
the rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders $747.00 in which I said the vehicle
is still under warranty, they stated that the warranty was only for engine and
transmission problems, which is two added problems I bought the vehicle in for
and they stated in the invoice that they found no problem with those two areas,
there is a knocking sound coming from the engine and the car jerks from time
to time when you accelerate or sometimes on its own. I than ask to speak with
Mr. Ray Dumelle but he was not there and they gave me Mr. Mark McClure to speak
to, I told him the problem and he also told me what the warranty covered and
I explain to him what I was told upon purchasing the vehicle and he offered
me a 10% discount on the balance of repairing the brakes, I told him I should
not have to pay anything on account I was lied to for the sole purpose of making
a sale, I find these tactics absolutely outrageous and unethical and I am very
disappointed with doing business with Norwood Park Dodge. On top of that I had
to pay $98.50 for checking out the vehicle's problems, if Norwood Park Dodge
feels comfortable in conducting business like this, I disappointedly have to
say I will no longer do business with their company.
My complaint with the Better Business Bureau against NORTHWOOD PARK DODGE
Complaint ID#: 94073264
Business Name: N P D, Inc.
bbb.org
This is an update on the complaint I sent to the Better Business Bureau on the
dealership Norwood Dodge of Chicago, I bought the vehicle for an inspection
engine and brakes, on their completion of the inspection of the vehicle they
told me I needed brake work done and was not covered under the warranty that
was my first complaint, now I am giving you an update informing you that I am
having trouble with the engine that I had ask them to inspect a month and a
half ago which I have heard a knocking and their answer was there were no problem
with the engine, Ironically today my engine is knocking the engine light is
on and I can't drive this vehicle, now I will have to take this vehicle to a
true mechanic to find out what other problems this vehicle has, making it a
more of an out of pocket expense, this has been a frustrating period all I wanted
was a reliable vehicle, I wish I had never done business with Norwood Dodge.

salesman John Marron was very helpful in getting me into a GREAT Vehicle that
was very clean and in my budget range. I told him what i could do and he worked
with me until we got it done. Which no other dealership could get me into a
nice vehicle. John is amazing, I'm enjoying my new car and will tell all my
friends where to buy their next car. I will be doing all my business with your
dealership and John Marron. THXS AGAIN for being understanding to my needs and
creating a great rapport with me.

Sales=Poor, Service=Poor, Parts=Good, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
When I bought my car in 2001 I tried to buy one from Norwood Park Dodge. The
salesman did not take me serious when I was shopping, I suppose a Woman cannot
buy a car by herself. I tried getting the best price for a new 2001 Sebring
Limited Convertible but the Salesman said the sticker price was the final price,
so I left and bought one at another dealer. I've took my car for service and
the service adviser Eric was very rude from the very first moment. I kept by
car there for an air bag light that would go on & off constantly. Service
called me to tell me that the problem was a seat belt problem that would cost
me $350.00 and the extended warranty would not cover it. My car only has 15,000
miles and its a 2001. I did not get the work done there because I did not appreciate
how rude everyone was. I picked up my car and was charged $98.50 just to tell
me what the problem was. I cannot believe the warranty would not cover and to
get charged $98.50 for nothing is total robbery!! I will never step foot in
this dealership again & I will express this to everyone I know that is thinking
about go to this dealership.

sales is a straight shooter. NOTE: customers who bought there get service
priority. Others may have to wait a week or two for a service opening.
