I have only had 2 problems with my truck thank goodness! First problem was the pinion seal second problem was a broken manifold bolt. I told them both times what was wrong with the truck before I dropped it off. These 2 problems required 6 trips to my dealership that is 50 miles away.
First I have to drop it off for them to look at and since they never have any loner cars like they said they would then someone has to pick me up. Then they call and tell me that they have to order the parts which they say it will take a week to get them. So I pick it up, wait a week, they call to
tell me the parts are in, I take it back, drop it off, they tell me they will call as soon as they get it done. Next day 4:00 they still haven't called, so I call to see if it's done. They ordered the wrong parts, but the good news is they can have the right parts in only 2 days instead of a week!
I can pick it up and bring it back if I like because they didn't have to tear it down to see they ordered the wrong parts! Instead of going and picking it up, I just leave it because I'm so mad by this point it wouldn't be a good idea to go down there and hear anymore B.S. I may not be a mechanic but how many different pinion seals and manifold gaskets did they make for a 2004 Ram SLT 2500 4x4 Quad cab with a Hemi engine? Now I'm not one to complain because I own my own business in which I have to have my truck to move tools and equipment with and I know that mistakes happen and the public can be hard to deal with but remember this story word for word has occurred twice now and I don't want there to be a third. Can I have my warranty work done by another dealership?
