The salesman promised a car to my son and daughter-in-law (I was the co-signer).
They kept the car for a week and when they went back to sign the final papers,
the salesman said the interest would be higher and their monthly note would
be higher. They left and called me. I in turn called the salesman and said I
would put down enough to get the monthly note back to where it needed to be.
I ran to the bank and transferred the funds to my son. I called the salesman
and told him she would get him a check today and he said the car was ours. My
son was at work, so on his lunch hour he went to the dealership and was told
they sold the vehicle. I know that it is not illegal, but it is unethical and
morally wrong. This was not a written contract, but each of us promised something
to the other, so I consider this to be a breach of contract.

We were looking for a new Dodge Truck after we lost ours to Hurricane Katrina
in '05. We had very specific options in mind and were calling different dealerships
to see what they had to offer. When we contacted Interstate Dodge the salesman
told us that they had 3 trucks that fit what we wanted almost exactly. When
we got to the dealership (approximately an hour's drive) they didn't even have
ONE that fit most of the options that we wanted. We looked around a bit anyway
and found one that we thought might work. We started discussing price and the
salesman kept pretty much giving us the same price, just presented different
ways. They insisted they HAD to pull a credit report before they could work
with us anymore and we refused. As we were getting ready to leave, I looked
out of the window and two of their other salesmen were sitting on the hood of
my car, smoking. We left and found a great Dodge dealership that got us exactly
what we wanted. I highly recommend that people avoid Interstate Dodge. Not the
trucks, they're great, just the dealership.
This is the second Dodge we have owned and I don't think we would buy anything
else.

in the showroom floor the finance screams at me tells me come here well i walked
into the booth i said yeah he started hollering and screaming me calling me
a liar i told him to give my car keys well he kept on shaking this piece of

I bought a used vehicle from Interstate Dodge. Two weeks after purchase, it
quit on me. Had it towed to shop. I had bought an extended warranty through
them. I told them I did not want the car so they said they'd find me one but
everything they showed me was way out of my price range (about double which
I decided they really did not want to replace my car. After about a week, they
said the papers had not been sent in to the warranty company. About three weeks
later, they finally got them acknowledged. Then they had to tear into the engine
to determine the problem. I had to guarantee that I would pay for it if the
warranty would not.
Meanwhile, the manager had promised a loaner car. We got a rental but after
three days, they said I had to turn it in or start paying for it myself. I turned
it in and my wife and I shared a car for the rest of the time.
The warranty company OK'd the repair but then they had to pull the engine and
send it to a block shop which took another two weeks. After they got it back
and I checked and checked with them, it still had not been repaired over another
two week period with no explanation. It was a total period of 6 weeks that I
was without a car.

we bought a dodge 2500 on january 31,2006. only to find out that the motor was
no good 4 days later. going on 5 weeks our truck sits in the service department
waiting to see if it is under warranty. either they don't have the right tools
or their waiting to hear back from cummings. we have called and left messages
with no one there to return our call. that therefore leads us up to the dealership
itself looking for the owner whom is either of vacation, gone for the day, or
simply unavailable. in return we get the service manager who makes promises
of a phone call tomorrow and once again we are left with not hearing from anyone
and a $500.00 truck note coming up in a week for a truck we drove 4 days.

we bought a used truck only to find out after we sign the papers that the trucks
motor is bad. it has been over a month and still we have no answers, and still
we are left without a truck. so now we are left with a truck note and insurance
that is due on a truck that we don't have!!! we call continuously with out no
return phone call. the only way we talk to anyone is to go up there. i have
asked to speak to the owner on several occasions and either he is in mexico
on vacation, taken off early or simply not available. it is very aggravating
and poor for business if you ask me.

I was in the market for a 2004 Durango. I drove one at Interstate Dodge and
asked them to quote me a price on one so that I could take the offer to my husband.
First of all, they asked me if my husband was in on the decision of buying a
car. When I told them "Yes" they turned off like a switch and would
not work up a price for me. They insisted on getting my husband to the dealership
after several attempts of me telling them that he would not come in without
some kind of offer. They told me they would call later that afternoon (Wednesday)
or fax the quote. No word yet!! I went back Saturday to drive a V6 with my mother-in-law.
The 2 guys that were helping me were 10 feet away on the other side of the glass.
One of them told me that he had a class Wed. night in New Orleans and he forgot
all about me and the other guy never came out. He then said that he was with
another customer and sent a 4th person to deal with me. My mother-in-law and
I were drinking iced tea form McAllister's when another salesman came out and
repeatedly asked if we were drinking daiquiris. I drove the car. They wanted
to make a deal. I informed them that I was not going to buy from them. They
fussed a bout me driving their car and not buying from them. I told them that
I would do business with the company if I could get a quote. They told me that
they have my information and that they would call me if they had anything for
me. In other words LEAVE! This was after they told me that "You did not
want to drive a V6; I don't know why you want a V6 anyway, when the V8 is the
same price (gas mileage)", and argue with me when I told them that fueleconomy.gov
and the sticker on the cars said 14/19 for the V8 and 16/21 for the V6. Overall,
I would not spend one half of a cent with these rude, arrogant people. I am
now in the process of buying a 2004 Durango from Dennis Crain in Winnsboro for
$33,000! They, on the other hand, know how to treat people!!!

A popping or rattling noise from the rear end happens when I brake. When I took
the truck in to check this, the mechanic could find nothing causing the noise.
They suggested a cleaning and adjusting the brakes which I had them do at a
cost of $52.25 to me even though the truck is a 2001 Ram still under warranty.
This did not fix the problem and it has since gotten worse. I am hesitant to
take it back without knowing if other persons have experienced this same problem.
The Dodge handbook says the Antilock brake system can cause noise but the mechanic
did not say anything about this.

05experience=I got that just before closing. Several employees were drinking
beer at the business. I had already test drove a auto and was making deal. I
saw one employee come in the sales show room with (2) Buds in his hand. I called
my spouse on the phone and was told the same thing. We got our keys and headed
to the front door the sales manager shouted hey we can do the deal, we said
no thanks we would take our business to another dealership. We got in our truck
and the sales manager ran out the door and we can make this deal happen. He
said I can sell you my 2003 Durango for $28,000 and give you $27,000 for you
trade, I said great please put it on your letter head so I can take it to my
bank. He came out with a blank piece of paper with some numbers wrote on it.
I said this is not want I ask for, he said this deal is only good for tonight.
We said no thank you, he then turn and told several of the sales people that
this is the case of 2 stupid people. 1 was him for offering the deal and the
other was me because I did not take the deal. I was really upset by the way
the dealership acted by drinking Beer while
customers were trying to buy a auto. I also am going to call Dodge and the BBB.
Want this person does not understand is by allowing his staff to drink and for
him to call me stupid that I will not buy anything from Interstate Dodge and
that I will tell EVERYONE I know what happen. Please go buy your Auto from someone
else other than Interstate Dodge

We have put our car in the shop for running hot three times in the last two
months. Every time they come up with some other reason and so far we have paid
six hundred dollars and have not gotten it fixed yet. I would think you pay
so much to have something fixed and there is not warranty on their work at all.
I am fed up with their service and would not recommend any one going there.

Their extended warranties can be voided at will, we ask about some changes on
a new pickup we bought were told they would not effect the warranty, now that
the engine blew up, they have voided the warranty. However they made two previous
repairs, Interstate Dodge says it is Warranty fault. Warranty folks say interstate
lied to us and they were sorry but it was our problem. Phone calls made to Owner,
Mr. Craigholt were returned by service dept. WE were unable to talk to Mr. Craighold
him self. WE are told Dodge is not different than any other company when it
comes to warranties, that should make us all feel reassured. We will no longer
deal with Dodge/Chrysler and hope this information is helpful to someone along
the way.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
We bought a 2001 dodge new. The dealership bought it back as a lemon because
it had been in the shop 8 different times for the same problem. We got another
truck on the agreement with dodge and Chrysler that they would give us 16,000
for the truck. Well this was in the beginning of November it is now the end
of January and they have the 2001 truck but have not paid it off because now
they are only wanting to give us 14,000 and expect us to cover the difference.
I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Never buy a dodge believe me
this is the last time I ever will.
