I have bought 5 vehicles through Varsity. I enjoy the way they are down to earth. They have gotten what I wanted every time I deal with them. Everyone who has had bad experiences with them, I’m sorry for you, but they have always done me right. I highly recommend varsity for your next purchase. Anyway there is no other vehicle better than a Dodge.

The overall experience was good... they got us into a nice truck even though when had less than perfect credit. It gave us a good starting point. We liked our sales person very much she took us straight to the vehicles we could get, we did not go to 20 different cars... I liked that.
Only thing the service department was really crowded,and had to wait a while. Other than that when got coupons for the truck even though it was an '04 model! We will definitely buy there again... Thanks Varsity for all your HARD work!

Sales=Poor, Service=Fair, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
Sat there most of the day waiting for an answer on financing of a used car. Was given one financial institution, but within two days, another had taken over the loan. The car I bought came in as a trade-in in pretty bad cosmetic condition, which they did a little to spruce it up. A couple of days later a hum in the front wheels, described by the salesman as a tire problem, turned out to be a worn out wheel bearing. They changed it out, but by that time I had noticed a clunk in the steering and some really loose steering which I reported it to the salesman, but never got a response. Found out later that Impalas have a problem with the intermediate steering shaft,so my bad...I guess. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone else. The sales person had me almost falsely imprisoned for most of the day, and it simply was not worth the headache I now have on my hands.

We went during a big "sale" that we got an invite for in the mail. The floor was very crowded, and made us uncomfortable. We were asked our socials and other info with all kinds of people milling about that could have easily heard or saw. The Salesman was ok, but the big guy he went and got to come talk to us was not. We were offended, humiliated, lied to, our intelligence and honesty were insulted. We ended up being very mad but hiding it well and left in the vehicle we came in. We drove 1 1/2 hours one way to their big "sale" that was a gimmick.

I attempted to purchase a new Dodge Truck but was kept waiting in a very unorganized sales area with very loud group of sales associates. After sitting for an extended period of time, and listening to the noise created by the staff (I thought I was at a football tailgate party) I became so annoyed I left. The young man trying to put the deal together was doing his best but, he too was very unorganized. He was friendly and did a good job showing me the truck but when it came to the paperwork end of the deal things went south. I could not personally recommend this dealer and I was primed and ready to drive that truck off the lot and leave them with my 2003 Chevy Avalanche.

We went during a big "Sale", we were a little upside down on our trade in, but we wanted to see what they could do for us. We spent most of the morning from about 9AM till 11AM battling back and forth on a new 2004 Stratus, Intrepid, or a Chrysler Sebring. I wasn't really interested in any of those since I was driving a Grand Prix GT Loaded and they weren't coming up with figures I liked. I felt like I was downgrading and explained that to them. When we got in our car to leave they stopped us and said they had a used Durango coming in and if we wanted to look at it we would have to stay and wait for it because first come first served. We waited for several hours then they got a suburban in we test drove it, but about a mile down the road it ran out of gas. We had to walk about a 1/4 of a mile before someone picked us up, not to mention I was 7 months pregnant. When we got back the apologized and said the Durango would be here shortly. At about 3PM it finally arrived. We liked it and decided we could live with the figures they were giving to us. I asked our sales person if keyless entry came standard with this year model durango, he checked with the service department and came back and said no, and it wasn't equipped to be set up with it either. They said what was taking so long was the service department was cleaning and servicing the Durango. By time we finished everything it was about 5:30PM. We go to get in the Durango and I notice it has no inspection sticker, I tell our salesman he says service closed at 5:30PM and we would have to come back tomorrow. At this point I am very upset. We drive an hour to get home and the next day we drive an hour back to get our inspection sticker. My husband had to go offshore that day so needless to say he wasn't happy either. On our way there we realize that they had not filled up our gas tank when we were told it would be filled. We get to the dealership, get our inspection sticker, go rounds with the sales department to get a tank of gas since we should have got one in the first place, plus we had to drive back to the dealership to have something done that should have been taken care of the day before. We finally get a tank of gas and go home, where I find out from my insurance company that the durango came with an alarm system. So I contact dodge corporation, they tell me that this vehicle with this vin number came standard with keyless entry. Oh, the dealership lied to me, or just didn't want to take the time. I have my dad who is a mechanic look at the Durango, we find out it hasn't gone through the service department at all evidenced by the oil not being changed, all the fluid levels being low, the engine was dirty, the fog lights didn't work, the cruise control was on the blink, and etc. We also found that they had not cleaned the Durango because I found trash in the seats, under the seats, in the back pockets of the seats. It was horrible. I decide to wait till my husband comes home to confront them with this. About a week later the finance department calls me to let me know they "forgot" to have my husband sign a couple pieces of paper work. He is offshore and I tell them he can come in around the Dec. 6th to sign. They say that is fine. Meanwhile I get a letter in the mail from the company we are suppose to be financed through stating they have denied our loan. And also my monthly bill from the car I traded in, they never paid the car off and the finance company wants me to pay my note. So I call the finance department to see what is going on. The finance person is very rude to me. I explain to her that she lied to me by not telling me the first time she called that they had sent all of our information to a different finance company after the one we signed paper work with declined on our loan. I explain I want to have my car back and they can have the Durango back, she tells me I am being irrational. I explain that I am upset about being lied to and will not deal with liars. She then tells me that is fine I can bring the vehicle back and get mine back but I will have to pay for any mileage put on the Durango. I explain to her that it is not my fault that they let the vehicle go before it had secure financing. She tells me that maybe I should wait for my husband to get home to take care of this business. That in itself is enough for me to say I will never deal with this company again. I hope that no one ever tries to deal with them. They adjust things to suit themselves, and not their customers.

I must say that this was the crummiest experience I've ever had trying to purchase a vehicle. I was lied to from the very start....They was having a sell-off. I called and had them check my credit and he called back and said come on over. I specifically asked if I would need money down as I was top side in my car. I was told noooooo.... he asked the finance manager and I wouldn't need money....Three days down the line..I was told by the finance manager after driving the car two days that I would need $1500 dollars down or there was no go.....Liars !!!! Not professional at all...ONCE told something from salesperson or finance manager it should stick....I was very disappointed in the whole deal...I came home in my old car...

Brought vehicle in to trade on a used vehicle. Couldn't work out numbers, so called later that week to see what the trade valued at on a new vehicle. Briefly spoke with two different people trying to get a number. No returned phone calls, so I left a few messages. A full day later I tried one more time to get in touch with either the salesman or the sales manager, only to be put on hold. No problem, until I was on hold for over 10 minutes, put on hold again for even longer, then hung up on. Apparently these people don't want to sell vehicles. Varsity Dodge is the LAST place ANYONE should go when trying to buy a new or used vehicle.

Tried to deal with them on a used truck, they wouldn't come off the price. Two weeks later they had dropped $3000 off. Test drove the truck for a night, went to get mine back the next morning. Salesperson said it was already sold, they did everything thing possible to avoid giving me my truck back. Salesperson was saying one thing, finance guy was doing something completely different. They definitely need to get their act together.
