Sales=Poor,
Service=Avoid, This is admittedly an old assessment, since I won't go back
there again. I had bought my first new car, a 1985 Dodge Daytona, at Central
Cape Dodge. In 1987, the crossover shift cable snapped, so I couldn't engage
reverse or 5th gears. I managed to drive it to the dealer and asked when they
could fix it. As a firefighter, I needed a working car. They told me it would
be two days to get the part, it would be $70 part and $50 labor, and they would
not loan or rent me a car in the meantime. There was no preferred service for
having bought the car there new. I couldn't be without a car for 2 days and
asked it they could buy the part from another dealer. They said that they do
not deal with other dealers in this manner. Since I was stuck with them, I drove
to the Dodge dealer in Falmouth (in 4th gear). They sold me the same part for
$35 (not $70) that afternoon, and I installed it myself at home in an hour.
Then I called back Central Cape Dodge, asking for the service manager, to complain
about the high price disparity and the lack of assistance. After ducking my
calls twice, Ron Bird finally told me that they never quoted $70 (even though
I had a witness), that there was nothing to be gained by discussing it further,
and then said, "This conversation is over!" and hung up on me abruptly. I had
been polite and controlled during the whole conversation, but he was not the
least bit interested in helping someone who had spent $13,000 there just two
years before. I was a stranger to them. Needless to say, they lost all our future
business: my dad drove off-Cape to buy a car in 1989, my brother did the same
in 1988, and I did in 1992. I urge you to consider this treatment before buying
a car there.

Sales=Good,
Service=Avoid, service shop lies to you and does not tell all problems,
never complete work on time,try to charge for things that were covered under
warranty. Very unknowledgeable of trucks and cars they service. Whole front
end replaced and it still bangs all the time; come to find out the frame is
bad. They sold a bad truck to me - it really sucks. I feel that I was deceived
lied to and took and this truck. I will tell everyone I know of this, and people
I don't know of all the things they did to me and are still doing because I
bought it there.
