Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
My wife and I visited this dealership to purchase a new Dodge ram diesel 2500
standard transmission. Tri State had a two year leftover on the lot in addition
to new trucks. Before even quoting a price to us the Salesman insisted that
we sign a letter of intent to purchase from them or they could not quote any
prices to us. He explained that the letter of intent to purchase was standard
fair and we should just sign and not worry about it. My wife has an MBA and
myself a BS in law enforcement. Although we were both young at the time and
probably looked like a couple of kids to the salesman we sure as heck did not
sign a thing. The sales manager came out and explained the same line of you
know what to us, then shook his head with a huge frown and explained loudly
he was "just trying to help us". And would no longer be able to help
us further then instructed his salesman to go help some "serious buyers".

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
Brought my Dakota in for service two weeks ago. Had a skip in the engine. I
was told that it had a burnt valve and the parts were on order, "should
be in tomorrow".
Tomorrow came and went. Where is my truck ? "Waiting for a gasket set.
We have all the other parts"
2 more days, Where's my truck ? " Waiting for a gasket set. Don't know
when it will be here. It was shipped UPS"
1 week passed from the time I first brought it in. Where's my truck? "Waiting
for a gasket set. Should be here Monday and done on Tuesday".
Monday. How's my truck coming ? "Let me check. Waiting for parts."
I was told parts would be in today. "NO WE DON'T GET DODGE PARTS IN ON
MONDAYS" Let me speak to the service mgr !! Service mgr says "Gasket
set is back ordered w/ no expected delivery date. I will try to locate one."
He called me back, "We will have the parts tomorrow and your truck will
be done the day after that." 2 more days, how's my truck? "Didn't
someone call you ? We had to order a new head. It should be in tomorrow and
done the next day." 2 more days, How's my truck ? "Working on it should
be done tomorrow morning" Next day 10:15 am Voice mail from service dept
:" We have the parts and are working on your Durango, it will be done this
afternoon and we will call you." Same day 4:00 pm. call from service mgr:
"your truck is back together but it still not running right" What's
wrong? "We don't know. I'm TOO busy to look at it and don't know when I'll
have time. Sorry"
Start of week THREE and back to square one!!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, Bought my wife's durango there over
the Internet. Mark ? from dealership jumped through hoops to get exactly the
right color after my wife changed her mind twice. No hassles everything was
upfront and straight forward. My father in law used to be a salesmen so my wife
was impressed that no scam tactics were even tried at this dealership. Service
has gone the extra-mile in repairs to my Ram and her Durango. They are not afraid
to look at TSB printed from the net and actually use the info to perform the
correct repair.
