I bought my truck at the end of the employee pricing deal. About a week later
I hear something rubbing on the fan. When I looked I found that there was a
wire harness that had caught on something and was now between the fan and the
block. They told me that the bad news was there were none in stock in the nation
but they would be abe to take one off a truck in the lot to get me on my way.
A+. On the way out the Check Engine Light came on. C-, I had to get them to
reset the light. The last time I went to the dealer I had done a little off
roading in some high grass and felt something give in the steering, I went to
the dealership and told them that I had snapped my steering stabilizer in two.
The service manager came in with the pieces in hand say there is now way ever
that DC was going to cover this warranty repair. I mean the thing looked like
a stepped on soda can, again they took one off a truck in the lot and sent me
on my way. By the way, Cummins Rocks.
I pulled out onto a four lane road, I got sideswiped at a fairly low angle but
it was still a hard enough of a hit to spin me 180* and put me on the shoulder
of the road. No frame/engine/glass damage. Took the licken and still ticken

I bought a used 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 February 2003 from Lexington Park Dodge.
One year later when the vehicle had 45,000 miles on it the transmission went
out costing me $2700.00. The incompetent service department took three weeks
to fix the transmission. They feed you the line that it will be ready on Thursday
and when Thursday rolls around it will be ready the following Tuesday and so
on. To make matters worse they are rude when you call them. After finding out
about the long history of Dodge transmission troubles in Dodge's entire line
of vehicles I traded this in for a 2004 Ford F-250.
This dealership is also very high pressure as I will now explain. I started
receiving calls that came up on caller ID from 1-800-364-4092. After the tenth
annoying call that was usually during times that I was sleeping I decided to
call this number back. I was asked If I still owned my 2001 Dodge. I replied,
"No". I was then asked what I now own. I then questioned who this
call was from and was advised that they were a private survey company hired
by Park Dodge. I told her that I did not want any more of their annoying calls
and was told that they would take me off their call list. She said it could
take up to 30 days. WONDERFUL. If I am every dumb enough to even think about
owning another Chrysler product I can guarantee I will not buy it from this
dealership. Oh by the way, I have received one more call on the same day as
I requested to be taken off the call list.

A few years ago I had a Dodge Caravan. I tried taking it in for service but
was told to make reservations in a few weeks. I went somewhere else. That happened
twice. Then I started looking for a 3/4 ton and they had the truck I was looking
for. Seems they have improved their attitude. Went in for minor repair (align
headlights) and they were very helpful and courteous.

Miracle workers. Park Dodge and their sales/business staff went full out 100%
to help me with purchasing a vehicle. Basil, Pina and Lou were extremely diligent,
patient, and went the extra mile to ensure I was take care of. The process took
longer than normal due to some issues with Chrysler Financial Service, which
originally soured my opinion of all things "Chrysler". But I am very
happy to say that I now own my 6th Chrysler product. Excellent, would recommend
to everyone to give these guys a try.

Today we purchased our third vehicle from Park Dodge. The salesman, Cliff, was
young and enthusiastic, but not too pushy. The financial manager, Michael Kelly,
was very polite, soft-spoken and kind. The sales manager was business-like,
but wasn't really willing to negotiate the price very much. He said they had
marked the car down as much as they could, but they wanted to move it off the
lot, so they came down a bit more. Rather than reduce the price any further,
he threw in $200 worth of credit at Toys R Us. In checking Edmunds.com we learned
the 300M we bought is valued at a higher price than we paid. Supposing the Carfax
information was correct and there have been no problems with the car, I think
we made a very good purchase. This is the third car I have bought from Park
Dodge. The ownership has of the dealership has changed since we bought our first
two cars, but the current crew seems to be decent to deal with. I haven't tried
the service department yet, so I don't know how good they are. We've had some
fairly poor results in the service department over the past few years so we
stopped taking our cars there. I will say, however, they have usually tried
to correct whatever problems there were. I'm willing to give the service department
another change. Hopefully, they have a different service manager from the one
we used to deal with.

The service department has zero quality assurance capability and technical expertise
beyond what a computer diagnostic tells them is also in doubt. Two visits to
fix A/C and heater core problems ... cost so far: $2,300.00 and the problem
is still not fixed. Honestly believe I am now paying for them to fix problems
they created but not properly installing the parts. The Durango has been a piece
of junk since I have owned it, but now after having had the opportunity to experience
shoddy dealer service in both Virginia Beach and Lexington Park, I will never
again purchase a Chrysler product ... and take pride knowing I have personally
turned away at least two dozen people from buying similar vehicles.
I expected a lot more reliability in a vehicle I paid $34,000 for. Next time
I'll buy a foreign SUV.

My husband and i were browsing for a new truck as his wasn't big enough. They
had a nice one there nice full size dodge pickup and the price was good. We
took it for a test drive and came back, the salesman was like why don't you
all take it home for the weekend and bring it back w/ your decision. So we did
and left our truck there, mind you we didn't sign anything saying that they
could do anything w/ our current truck. Well we called them and they had gotten
him approved to get this truck we had taken home, but the payments were over
what we wanted to pay so we had said no. But by the time we got there they had
our other truck on a hauling truck to carry it off and sell it. They told us
we had no choice our truck was gone on the other truck (they had no title or
anything) so we had to come up w/ a down payment which we couldn't afford and
a high monthly payment which we have had to struggle with for the past year.
All because they have a screwed up way of running a dealership. We will hopefully
never go there again. Please don't go to park dodge if you want a car.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
Experience #1: I didn't buy a truck from Park Dodge. I went there to buy a neon
and the sales department was very pressuring. The car they were really trying
to talk me into buying was a year old with 40,000 miles and very scratched up.
I wound up telling them that I would decided if I was going to purchase the
car after they detailed it. In the mean time, I went to Waldorf Dodge. They
put in a brand new neon with a power moonroof for less than the used one was
going to cost me monthly. They were really trying hard to rip me off. * Also
the detailer came as I was about to leave, so I decided to go watch him detail
the car for a second and he looked up at me and said, "What's your problem,
never seen a black man work before?" That really insulted me and was very rude.
Experience #2: My neon broke down recently and was towed with roadside assistance
to Park Dodge because it was the closest dealer. I called Park Dodge to give
them my name and number and to let them know my vehicle was on the way there.
The man rudely told me their service department was closed until Monday (it
was Saturday morning). I asked for a rental car because my car is still under
warranty and in fact I pay something like an extra $6.00 a month for Added Care.
He told me that they would not issue me a rental car because I did not buy the
car from them. Therefore, I called Waldorf Dodge and they said Park Dodge is
the dealer with my car and therefore have to give me the rental. They said my
contract is with Chrysler, not Waldorf Dodge in particular and that Park Dodge
must comply as they are a Chrysler Dealer. So then I got my father to call Park
Dodge since they were so rude the first time and they put a man named Henry
on the phone who said they were out of rental cars. He said we could try Enterprise
Rental Cars. Well, that didn't work out because I didn't have a credit card
and they don't accept cash. Plus I should not have been the one paying for the
rental and Enterprise said that Park Dodge would have to call them and give
them an invoice # and authorization to direct bill the rental car to Chrysler.
Park Dodge refused to call. They were rude and unhelpful the entire time. I
would not recommend any aspect of Park Dodge to anyone. Anyway, I never received
a rental car. I work on the weekends and they really put me in a bind!!!!

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, I went in looking for a new truck, and worked
with a very friendly sales rep, but the next day when we came back to sign papers
some other rep told us that he had been fired and I signed papers with him,
then while we were signing the first rep showed up for work and told us he had
not been fired but was at a dentist appointment. I just didn't trust the second
guy, he answered too many of my questions with incomplete or incorrect answers,
and lied to me about the first guy. Avoid the young guy with the greasy black
hair.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, I ordered a 1999 2500 Q-cab diesel.
The management and the salespeople were the most knowledgeable people I have
ever purchased a car from. (I have owned in excess of 17 vehicles). I have nothing
but praise for them. I would recommend them to anyone , they give the best price, knowledge
and service. Go to Lexington Park Motors they really outperform the other local
dealers in Prince Frederick, Waldorf, Upper Marlboro and Northern Virginia!!!!!
