On 1-06-05, I brought my vehicle to Waldorf Dodge, to receive an estimate for
service. I contacted service representative, Michael Lynn and asked for an estimate,
for an alignment, upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rods, for
my 99 Dodge Durango. Mr. Lynn informed me it would be approximately $1,135.00,
for parts and labor, with an alignment. Mr. Lynn asked me to call back sometime
next week, in order to make an appointment. On 1-10-05, I called Waldorf Dodge,
in reference to making an appointment for service and was transferred to mechanic
"Rob". I informed him of service needed , and made an appointment
to bring my vehicle in, on 1-11-05, at 0900. On 1-11-05, at 0845, I put my vehicle
in for service, at Waldorf Dodge, for the upper/lower ball joints, inner/outer
tie rods and for an alignment. On 1-12-05, I received a phone call from "Rob"
who informed me the service would take a couple of days and he'll see if he
could save me a little money on the original estimate. On 1-13-05, I received
a call from "Rob" asking me who gave me that estimate ($1,135.00),
that the service is going to require inner tie rods and that's going to cost
more. I informed "Rob" that I received the estimate from Michael Lynn
and believed the work for inner tie rods, was included. I explained, the most
serious problem, involving the excessive tire ware, was located on the inner
front tires and believed I requested inner tie rods. I continued, stating I
was not 100% sure, but was confident I mentioned the inner tie rods, upon my
initial request for service. "Rob" stated he needed to check, called
me back and said they would do the work for the original estimated cost of $1,135.00.
I agreed, and "Rob" informed me he would contact me when the job was
complete. On 1-15-05, at 1236, I called Waldorf Dodge, concerning the status
of my vehicle. I was told my vehicle was ready and the cashier had my bill,
which was for $1,292.56. I arrived at Waldorf Dodge, on 1-15-05,at 1330, to
pickup my vehicle. Upon paying for the service and receiving the service invoice,
I noticed the service was completed on 1-13-05, at 1209. I asked the service
advisor to check and confirm, when the service was completed on my vehicle and
he confirmed 1-13-05,at 1209. I asked why wasn't I notified that my vehicle
was ready for pick-up, that I had to call, in order to find out. I further advised,
that I have been renting a car, while my vehicle was in for service and was
incurring addition unnecessary rental costs. I could not understand, why no
one contacted me and was very upset about the inconvenience it is costing me,
along with the additional cost for the service conducted and the additional
cost, for the rental car. The service advisor, informed me there was no manager
working this weekend, but I could contact the service manager Michael Lynn on
Monday (1-17-05). I waited another 15 minutes, while an employee searched for
keys, to another vehicle, that was blocking my vehicle in the parking lot. I
wanted to complete this survey in order to inform you of the service I received
and in hopes that the problems I experienced, will be corrected.
In reference to the question, would I consider buying a DaimlerChrysler product
again? My answer is, not if I can help it. I own a 99 Dodge Durango and a 98
Dodge Avenger. I have maintained the required maintenance,on the Dodge Durango,
along with a few other preventive maintenance services, ie transmission, breaks
and ABS sensor, etc.. At around the 100,000 mile mark, I have experienced nothing
but problems. In 2004, I have replaced an alternator, water pump, fan belt, and
ABS break sensor In addition, the premium stereo system is going out, steering
wheel stereo volume switch came apart, cruise control does not work, the gear
shift lever is unsteady and the transmission is lagging, from 2nd to 3rd gear.
Unfortunately for me, I have had my vehicle for service quite often in 2004
and had 4 new tires put on (late Aug 04)and no one (mechanic)noticed or informed
me of the problems I was experiencing with the worn upper/lower ball joints
and inner outer tie rods. I can only anticipate that the problems with my Dodge
Durango, are only going to continue and will be looking to purchase another
vehicle soon and will not be looking at any Dodge product. I have given my Dodge
Avenger to a family member. She is unhappy with the vehicle and has been experiencing,
numerous maintenance problem and expenses, which are not covered on the extended
warranty or any recalls. Thanks for providing this customer service survey and
feel free to contact me concerning my responses.

I had an 10:30 service appointment with Waldorf Dodge for an oil change. Waited
with my wife in the lounge area. One hour later, a service rep said they were
beginning to service my vehicle now. Two hours later I asked the lead service
rep Glenn the status of my vehicle. He couldn't answer, and headed off to find
the technician. He could find neither the technician nor my car!!!! Well, within
the next 1/2, and a lot of runaround, he did manage to find the technician,
and my car still parked outside. They had forgotten about me!!!! Now One o'clock,
"we will squeeze you in"! Should a customer have to be SQUEEZED in
when one makes a 10:30 appointment? In my view, Waldorf Dodge should get an
experience service team able to handle the barrage of customers that come through
there on Saturday mornings, instead of the handful of young kids behind the
counter talking about X-Box games. If anyone of them had customer service experience
with the ability to manage a workflow, then me and several other customers would
not of been disgruntled on this Saturday morning. And finally, give Glenn some
time off! He's overworked, and it shows.

my wife and I recently purchased a 2005 grand caravan. This is our sixth vehicle
that we purchased from Waldorf Dodge. We wanted them to install a rear dvd.
After they installed it,the dvd did not work properly. The customer relation
manager said the technician claimed that dvd systems installed after factory
never work like factory installed systems. After speaking with several so called
managers, one agreed that this dvd should work like a factory installed dvd.
He explained that the technician was not a certified technician and he would
have his certified technician look at it. We purchased the caravan a month ago
and had it for a week. We hope this gets resolved soon, but we will never purchase
another vehicle from Waldorf Dodge again.
The sales manager told me that his customer relations has a lot to do with the
problems in communication.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know,
This was the worst service and treatment that I have ever received as a customer.
Our salesman, the finance guy and the manager are rude, and unprofessional.
We were buying a 2003 dodge intrepid, it was in good condition, 29k miles with
a decent price at 10900. We decided to buy it and told them we had a trade in,
which they agreed to give us at least 500 for, with this trade we still owed
so we would add that to our new vehicle financing. Everything was agreed upon,
we came in the next night around 730pm. As we first walked in the first question
asked was "where is the check", which was totally inappropriate because
we hadn't done any pricing or had a definite number, so they basically wanted
our pre approved check to see how much they could go up to. I refused to give
them the check until everything was calculated, so they then asked for the title
to the trade. We told them before that we did not have the title because we
still owed, that they would get the title from the bank as we discussed. At
that point, the manager said no we need to give him the title now, I told him
we discussed it earlier and they would get it from the bank. It was about 830
pm at that point but luckily our credit union had a 24 hr loan line which we
called and let them speak to the manager about it. All of this should have been
done earlier that day, not at the time when we came in to buy the car. He said
he could not wait for the title, so we said fine , we will leave, so he supposedly
called his boss and found it to be ok....right. We were then given a credit
application, after specifically saying that we had our own financing. The salesman
said "oh, this is just to get your information, sign it" , we refused
because it was a credit application. Around 9:30 we finally get to the point
of doing the deal, the finance guy, for some reason put the price of the car
in the computer as 14900 and the trade in value as 5,000. What we discussed
was 10900 with a trade in of 500. He said "oh, we just put it in this way
because that's the dsrp", we said fine as long as the price comes up the
same. He does everything in the computer, gives us the price, we agreed, filled
out the check and gave it to them. At that point they asked for the registration
of the trade, which we did not have and were not told that we needed to have.
So, now they don?t want to take the trade, again. We said fine, we will leave,
the finance guy got very rude and derogatory with my husband and it then was
an argument. The manager came over and said we could call the bank back and
they could verify the vin which they did. At this point we were very upset over
how unprofessional they were and how they were treating us. But we still wanted
the car. So we then get to the application for title which said that the car
was 14900 and that we were to pay 5% sales tax on that price. I said no, we
were told the car was 10900 we will pay tax on 10900. The finance guy then started
yelling at us saying that "but you get 5,000 for the trade" like we
were stupid. He also kept saying " we are a 5 star dealer". So we
said fix it or we are leaving, so once they fixed it, the price of the car came
up to be 200 dollars more. At that point we said were not paying more, and our
check was filled out. The manager told us to write a personal check, we refused.
In the end, we decided to get the car at the inflated price because the extra
tax was about 200 dollars anyway. My advice is to stay away from these people,
they do have some good deals, so if you want to deal with them, YOU MUST stay
on top of them and be alert. They will try to screw you over and wont make any
changes until you say that you will leave. I didn't realize it that night, but
the next day I realized that the reason they inflated the price was to get a
higher commission

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No,
Salesman was "John". I bought a RAM 1500 truck under the friends/family
program so he knew up front he was not going to make much (if any) money, yet
he took his time to ensure I was satisfied with my experience. He was professional
and treated me like a customer should be treated. Financing was handled quickly
and professionally. The only complaint I have is that if anything, the transaction
was in fact maybe TOO fast. I ended up leaving there with my truck but only
with less than 3/4 of a tank of gas instead of it being delivered full. Other
than that, no problems at all. Note that my wife went to the dealer and ended
up buying a Neon SRT4 off the showroom floor about 3 weeks later, just this
past weekend (labor day)! Thanks Dodge --
Steve S.

I bought a 2001 Dodge Neon ES from that dealership in 2001. The car had 7k miles
on it. It was originally sold to me as 'new' I went in and they flipped paperwork
on me. Stating that the vehicle was used. I then took the car in to get a scratch
repaired on the front passenger side. When I arrived the following day to pick
the car up there was over 6k of damages done to that car! Apparently one of
the service people were driving the wrong way out of the service area when another
vehicle struck my car! After they (the dealership) paid for the damages on the
car, they still reported it to my insurance company. Being the car was struck
from the passenger side front bumper and banged up from where the front bumper
meets the passenger side of the door all the way down the car, the car just
wouldn't drive the same as it used to. Being this the case. I sought to return
the car and purchase a new one. I then in turn purchased a 2002 Dodge Neon ACR.
36k is too much money to spend on a single car! They still rolled over payment
from the first Neon onto the second one. And even had the audacity to put the
negative equity on that car that they caused! Needless to say that 2002 Dodge
Neon is no longer in my possession due to a MVA. I was extremely disappointed
in that dealership! And being in the military you would think they would have
enough respect as to not use someone in that manner! I will NEVER do business
with them! They are a HORRIBLE dealership and should be reported to the BBB!
