We picked up our 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Diesel truck after having the
front axle replaced on Aug 9, 2007 only to find it had a white scratch down
the side and across the mirror and both door handles on the passenger side.
When confronted, the service manager immediately denied it could have happened
at the dealership. He looked over the truck and offered to buff it out, but
then called back and said it wasn't his fault and he couldn't fix the door handles
or the mirror. When picking the truck back up the general manager stepped in
and still insisted the scratch was there before we dropped the truck off, while
the mechanic had stated the day before when we originally picked it up that
the scratch wasn't there when it was on the lift. The general manager and service
manager told us it was latex paint and tree bark and there was no way that it
happened at their dealership. Never an apology or the possibility that it happened
there. My husband and I feel completely insulted and that the dealer indirectly
called us liars. The general manager all but said that he's sure I believed
it wasn't there when we dropped it off, but that it probably was. Also, that
he hoped I could smooth things over with my husband, which basically meant that
I did the damage and was trying to blame the dealership. We have full coverage
on our truck and if I hit something I would call the insurance company and not
the dealership. The story as to what was on the truck changed each time I spoke
with someone from the dealership. I have never been treated so poorly or rudely.
The service manager never even looked up when I showed up with the truck and
immediately stated they didn't do it.

Took truck in with a failed injector (truck covered with diesel/oil mixture)
and crankcase overfilled. Diagnosed failed injector and ordered parts. Called
and informed me it was completed. Got home after repair and found oil was extremely
runny and still smelled of diesel. Took back next morning and was informed that
warranty didn't cover oil change, just parts and therefore suggested that I
immediately pay for and have an oil change done to keep warranty in effect.
We argued and eventually I paid dealer cost for change but still had to pay.
Also had to argue that the $100 deductible was only for driveline warranty instead,
engine repairs were no charge till after 5 years/ 100k miles. Left with a very
poor opinion of the repair and the way they delivered the truck and irate that
the oil wasn't changed and didn't feel that I should have had to argue about
warranty costs with his service writer telling him also that there was no charge
for repairs. Just a hard headed main service person that knew it all, even when
he was wrong.
This truck was traded off due to it's many problems and Dodge's non committal
to correct repairs.

I went in to Snethkamp Dodge to buy my 2001 Dodge 1500. I told the salesman
I was only willing to talk in "out the door prices"! He told me that
he wasn't used to this kind of talk because most people want to know what their
payment is going to be. The price on my truck was 13999, I told them I would
give them 14500 out the door, the salesman went to talk to the sales manager
and came back with 15000. I told him I was willing to meet him in the middle
and he absolutely refused! I asked him, are you sure you want to lose a deal
for 14500 over 250 dollars? He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said
"if that's how it's gotta be". My wife and I left and I test drove
another truck with another dealership. I ended up going back and buying the
truck because my wife made me realize that it was "only 250" but to
me it was also the principal of it, I'd made an offer and they countered, I
met them in the middle and they were TOTALLY RUDE ABOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS. I
am in the market for a new car now and will NOT be shopping at Bill Snethkamp
Dodge!!!!

Worst Service ever from Sales Department. They were upset to find that I was
shopping with other Dodge dealerships and refused to refund a deposit after
I chose to purchase my Ram from another dealer. The manager was extremely rude
about this. I would never consider this dealer, this is the second time my wife
and I experienced poor service when we were seriously considering the purchased
of a vehicle. If you are considering a Dodge consider shopping at Extreme in
Jackson. They are and have been extremely (no pun intended) helpful and competitive
on price.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I was told by this dealers service department that they have 1 diesel mechanic
that is also their tranny guy and that how they deal with diesels is you drop
it off and he gets to it between jobs. They told me it was pretty typical for
it to take 2 1/2 to 3 WEEKS for him to even look at my truck - and then you've
gotta wait for parts orders, etc. Not only that but getting him to do anything
on the truck was like pulling hens teeth!

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Salesmen - When I asked if there were any used vehicles that had
a particular engine/transmission combination, the salesman just shrugged his
shoulders and said "He can't keep track of them, just go have a look and see
what you find." I found the keys to my car and left.
Service - When I went to get an oxygen sensor for my 1990 D150
that had the 3.9L V-6 in it, the parts man and the mechanic both insisted that
Dodge never put the 3.9L in a full size truck and laughed at me. I took the
mechanic out to my truck, showed him the engine, and convinced him with the
emissions sticker that it was legit. The parts man then couldn't figure out
which oxygen sensor fit my truck, so just handed one to me and said that it'd
probably work. I proceeded to replace the sensor at home that night, and realized
that they'd given me the wrong part. When I returned the next day to exchange
the part, the same parts man refused to give me a refund because there policy
is no refunds on electrical items. I had the sales receipt to show that I'd
just bought it the day before, and the the anti-sieze applied at the factory
had not even been smudged. He still refused. I finally had to resort to yelling
to get his, and potential customers in showrooms', attention. ! He finally realized
that people were walking out of the dealership and proceeded to give me a refund.
I went to CarQuest on the way home, they gave me the correct oxygen sensor without
any grief and at half the price of the OEM unit. I'll never go back there.
