Sales=Fair, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
Having bought a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan last January with 7,000 miles on it I was surprised for the service people to tell me I needed new brake pads for the front and back. My vehicle has 26,771 miles on it and I was quite shocked when bringing my van in for an oil change and being told that I had less then 10% left of my pads on the front and back.
I called an experienced and trustworthy mechanic for a second opinion and in his opinion there should be more then 10% left on the pads.
I called the salesman who sold me the vehicle and explained the situation to him and he agreed to look at the brakes with the service manager.
When I brought my van in they looked at it and then the service advisor(Melissa Carlson) who had dealt with me before when I came in for the oil change approached me holding different color gauges that were supposed to show the depth of wear on the pads.
The front were still low and the rears were more then what they originally had estimated. They did not offer to physically show me the pads but instead their magic color gauge.
I was in a bind as my wife was taking the van out of town in two days so I agreed to have them do the fronts and then I would get a second opinion on the back brakes from my mechanic.
Melissa quoted me a price of $190 for the front brake pads and asked if I had received a service flyer advertising specials in the mail. I had not, so she gave me $20 off the price bringing the total to 170.48.
When I returned home I did come across an e-mail offering brake pad or shoe replacement for $118.50 which did not include refacing/machining of the rotors if needed.
I sent Melissa an e-mail inquiring about this special and she asked me to stop by Dodge if I had questions about the service.
When asking to be reimbursed for the difference between $170.48 and $118.50 from the Fall Service Savings she said this did not pertain to my work and talked in circles not explaining why this Fall Service Special did not pertain to my work. After getting no where for a few minutes she went to talk to the Service Manager (Bill Love) and then asked me into his office. The explanation he gave was not much better saying that my work required resurfacing which did not pertain to the fall special. I asked him to show me where this was stated on my work order and he said this was included in the 2 hour labor charge. It's kind of odd that if they resurfaced my rotors you would think they would note this in the work order.
I called another Dodge dealership and talked to a mechanic and asked him that if work was performed on the rotors would this be noted on the work order and he said it would.
The clincher was two weeks later when I was able to get my van into my trusted mechanic to have the rear brakes done he found plenty of brake pad remaining on the rears, his estimate was 50%, I was shown the brake pads and how much pac was left.
This makes me wonder if the front pads were as bad as Dodge claimed they were.
Very deceptive and questionable service practices, will not buy or have service done at this dealership!!!!!

Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No, Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
My wife and I went to the dealership and told the sales person what we could afford per month for our lease. They didn't have anything that fit what we could afford ($190/month). We left our names and phone number with the salesman and left. The next day he calls me and tells me that they just got a new promotion, where I could get the exact vehicle I wanted for $190 a month. I was excited, came in said "Let's do it" only to find out that it would be $280 a month. So I asked why he told me on the phone that it would be $190 and he just kept saying, "Well, look at how nice of a vehicle this is...what do I have to do to get you into this?" I kept saying, "To get me in this give it to me for the lease amount you told me you would." For 3 hours he kept replying, "Don't you understand this is a good deal? Now what do I have to do to get you into this?" After a total of four hours it finally got through his head that I could only afford so much, and simply wanted it at the price he told me over the phone it would be. So they lowered the price per month to $230 - still well above what I could do but I for whatever reason agreed to it. I would never go back there again.

My wife bought a used car from brookdale dodge. It did not run the next day and we were stuck. When asking why the vehicle did not run, the salesman responded that ," you know, you didn't buy a Cadillac"

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
I needed an SUV, and I had one day to purchase due to a planned vacation (needed vehicle for new job, which involves hauling a lot of product to customer sites). Found a 1999 Dodge Durango listed on website under "Internet Special", and listing about $1,500 under book value. Visited dealership and test drove with salesman. Vehicle road nice... no problems... so I bought it. Salesman used "cheezy" closing phrases/tactics, but I wanted the vehicle. About 1 month later, I noticed a high-pitched noise when in overdrive at speeds over 60MPH. The long and short of it, I took the vehicle in no less than 7 times for this same problem. Each time I picked up the vehicle, I was told it was fixed. All I had to do was get onto the highway and above 60MPH to hear the noise. After about the 2nd time, I even test drove with a technician, who claimed he heard the noise. Yet, I'd need to call to ask when vehicle will be reading, and I was always told "we're having trouble duplicating the noise you say the truck makes." Let's see -- you can't get the vehicle into overdrive at 60+MPH (the "magic" formula for causing the sound). Beyond the fact they have yet to fix my vehicle (I've long since given up on them), but the service was plain horsesh_t. At one point, I was out of town working for 9 days, only to return to find my vehicle had not even been touched. The straw that broke the camels back, was when I escalated my frustration to the Service Manager. I explained the reasons for my frustration, and he said he'd "...call Detroit to see if there's a pattern of this problem with other Durangos across the country." This was a Friday, and he said he'd call with the results the following Monday. That was October, and I'm still waiting for his return call (it's December now). However, I do receive monthly "service check reminders" from him. Brookdale Dodge = incompetent service agents/managers.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
1999 First, when found vehicle I wanted I told the salesman the highest amount I could pay for monthly payment. He let me take the vehicle home for a few days. Upon returning salesman stated there was someone who came in on the weekend looking for a small truck. Salesman gave me the name of the women to sell my truck to as I could get more from her than a trade in. I sold her the truck and the salesmen brought me back to the dealership. He had also told me I would qualify for the truck I was looking at. But when I met with the finance dept. they quoted my monthly payment $100 over what I told him I could afford. Well, they had me....as I had just sold my truck. I felt scammed! What a cheap tactic and I should have called my lawyer. 2002...truck towed to dealer, had warranty coverage from Americare which Brookdale Dodge sold me when I purchased the truck. Americare would not cover the damage to the transfercase which was covered in warranty. Brookdale dodge managers admitted to me that they have had problems with this warranty company and no longer sold there coverage. 3 days after the tow, someone broke into my truck while in Dodge parking lot and ripped out my stereo doing damage to the dash. Needless to say I was fuming! They would not take responsibility due to the small clause written on the initial work order. But, the area where my truck was parked was not secured as there was construction going on and they left the gates open for the construction workers. Dealer would take no responsibility. They also would not back me up regarding the warranty company not covering my claim. So they do little to satisfy the customer. So several weeks with my truck sitting there, I had it towed to a different dealer where they were surprised the problems I had. Long story short.....STEER CLEAR OF BROOKDALE DODGE!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor,
I brought my Neon in because of an oil leak. They said it was a faulty head gasket that would cost $930 to fix!!! I thought I would check prices elsewhere, so I called up some independent repair shops. The first place I called told me to take my car to a dealership because Chrysler extended the warranty on it (apparently it was a very common problem). I called the dealership back, and they told me the repair shop 'lied'. Then they admitted Chrysler would cover part of the repair cost. I was still stuck paying $250 for the head gasket. I also had the spark plugs changed on the same visit.
Once I got my car back, I drove it home, only to see coolant dripping from the engine. I thought, well maybe they just spilled a little bit and it dripped down. A couple hours later, I looked under the car to see a pool of coolant on the drive way. I headed down the road, and the "service engine soon" light turned on. The next day, I took the car back to the dealership. Apparently, they damaged the connector to the radiator when they replaced the head gasket. Also, one of the new spark plugs was bad. They fixed both problems free of charge (which frankly, I would expect).
Over all, I would have to give Brookdale Dodge a somewhat poor review. The spark plugs cost 25% more than they quoted over the phone. They should not have slandered their competitors. They should have told me up front about the "secret warranty", or as they call it "policy", and they should have fixed my car right the first time. To their credit, they corrected their mistakes promptly and without hassle.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
I've bought three vehicles from this store, a Dodge Ram Diesel, a Dodge Grand Caravan, and a Dodge Neon. The salesperson was great and I recommend him to all of my friends (Greg). I also have all of these cars serviced there. They keep good records, remind me when I need service, and always get the job done on time. I always make an appointment so they expect me and it doesn't take long for the maintenance to be done. I had a small accident with the Caravan when it was brand new (not even 1,000 miles) and Brookdale Collision fixed it to look brand new again. I am very happy with all the people there.

I have never had such a negative experience in a car purchase and service in my life. They don't hide they are money hungry and can care less about the customer. Their top managers are seldom to be found when there is a problem. Just a very poor Dealership. Who ever sees this avoid this Dealership with all your power nothing is gained by going to this dealer.

Slime of all slime, they are nothing but coke snorting scam artists, do everything you can to stay away from these clowns, they would rip-off their own grandmothers. This dealer ship should be shut down for the stuff they try to pull, saying vehicles have not been in accidents when they have been, stripping out options and then trying to sell them back.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
I got a lower quote from another dealer on a truck they had on the showfloor. They met the price and I saved a few bucks but it was service with a sneer after that. I had to get Chrysler customer service involved to get a warranty repair completed then they took 90 minutes to do an oil change as a payback.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
When I asked what the previous owner towed with it, I was told a small camper. Later, under the bedliner I find the holes for a 5th wheel hookup. And I now believe it had major front end damage at some point. Avoid the used car dealers! I've had to replace most components under the hood.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
Don't Know or No Experience
