Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,

We had a problem with our Dodge van the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We were
almost to Worthington, so we stopped at the dealer there. They were able to
get our van right in, which we thought was great! However, it didn't work out
that way. My husband was fairly sure he knew what the problem was and told the
service department. We waited in the waiting room, which had a TV and chairs.
Again, we thought GREAT! We waited two hours, no one in the dealership even
acknowledged us, although there was someone in the office right across from
where we were sitting and several salespeople sitting in an office talking to
each other (we never saw another customer). We finally found a service person
to talk to and he told us that it might be the problem my husband had already
told them he thought it was or it might be something else. It took them 2 hours
to decide this (and it did turn out to be the problem my husband thought it
was). Next, we saw our mechanic punch out and leave for lunch. No one had told
us what the problem was, how long it might take to fix, or offered us a car
to take our family to lunch. We finally found a service person about 45 minutes
later and asked him to check on our vehicle. Apparently it just needed to be
test driven, but the mechanic left before doing that, leaving us sitting there.
When I called to complain, the owner just said they were short staffed because
of the holidays. I still think someone could have let us know what was going
on, acknowledged us, and offered us something. No one even told us where the
vending machines were (which were located INSIDE the service department). The
vehicle was fixed properly and the price was right, but I have never been treated
so rudely or had such a LACK of CUSTOMER SERVICE anywhere I have gone. We are
trading our van soon, and I saw one on the lot I was very interested in, but
I wouldn't buy one there if it was the last van on earth!!
