Sales=Poor, Service=Don't Know, Parts=Don't Know, bought there=Yes, scv_there=No,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
I bought a Dodge Intrepid 2004 (26,000 miles) from this dealership. I admit,
i rushed into buying the car w/ great help from the salesperson. I was happy
w/ the car! My payments were more than i asked for but i agreed. The main thing
that sold me was the warranties. I specifically asked him what was covered and
not covered. I was told that the bumper to bumper warranty was to include everything
from the front bumper to the back bumper. I specifically asked if everything
would be covered for at least 60 days. The dealership said "yes".
I was given a mfg warranty for 36,000 miles along w/ a 60 days warranty from
the actual dealership i bought the car from. I asked if a 12 pt inspection had
been performed on the car. The salesperson read off everything that was checked
on the car including the brakes. Within 1 month of owning the car i noticed
several small things wrong with the car. The drivers door did not lock, Engine
did not accelerate properly, cig lighter broken! So i took time off work to
take the car to dealership (different location) to get fixed under the warranty
by the mfg co. They were great! They fixed everything that i had complained
about except the brakes. I went back to my salesperson to complain that the
brakes were squealing and he replied "well you'll have to pay out of pocket
because its not under warranty. I reminded him i had the car less than thirty
days and after paying a higher car pmt than i initially anticipated i couldn't
afford nor thought i should be repairing a 2004 car still under both warranties
i just had gotten. The salesperson advised me that cars break down all the time,
and that is an expense i should just expect to pay. I told the salesperson ok,
they do break down, but were speaking of a 2004 car i just purchased.
The salesperson said he couldn't help me. I noticed as soon as i signed the
final paperwork that was the last i was to hear from my salesperson. I would
leave msg's and when i did get in con! tact he gave me the run around. I was
also given just 1 key an! d told later i would get the second key w/ the car
remote. I was later told that the 1 key was all there was. Of course that was
after all the paperwork was signed. Not to say that would've changed things.
Stating he'd have to speak w/ his boss. I am so angry at this place! I really
got SCAMMED! I cannot accept this.Im now reaching the end of my 60 day warranty
from the dealership.What can i do? Do i have any option?
