Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
3\17\06 Took my 2005 Jeep in for a routine oil change (15,000 miles) 1 1/2 hours
later I was told that the oil pan was stripped out, that it was my fault and
I would have to pay $376 for a new oil pan. I was told that they do not have
loaner vehicles and that I could go across town and rent a car for a couple
of weeks while they wait on a new oil pan. Stated that it was my fault and would
not be covered under warranty because I had the oil changed someplace else besides
there. The mechanic also checked the transmission fluid level with the Jeep
turned off. Very hateful lady at service counter, stated that she could have
my warranty voided, they walked off to have a cigarette. ALL the staff went
to lunch and left me sitting there waiting. Finally one guy found a RUBBER TEMPORARY
DRAIN PLUG to put in so I could drive home. Had to have the pan re-tapped and
an oversized plug placed at a different mechanics. Total time there 6+ hours.
December 2005 Service engine light came on in the 2005 Jeep, Auffenberg had
my Jeep for 2 weeks. When I dropped it off it had a full tank of fuel, when
I picked it up it was on EMPTY! Drove 1.5 miles before the service engine light
came back on. Another week before they finally got it fixed and they never did
put any fuel in it.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
If you want warranty work forget it. If they don't have some lame excuse that
you are buying crappy fuel why you are have trouble and attempt to fix it, then
they will screw it up and you will end up spending half a day on hold to DC
till they make them fix it right. Then they treat you like an ass because you
called DC. They Tried to get my wife to authorize a repair for a check engine
light they said would take 1.5 days to fix and cost $800 and claimed it was
a non warranty issue. When she refused and brought it home I traced it to a
loose fuel connection, fixed in less than an hour but wasted my Sunday off tracing
it down and getting out the ramps and jacks, cleaning up etc. Same Crappy service
on 2 of my pickups too. Most of the repairs would have been minor if it weren't
for lousy mechanic work compounding the problems.
