Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
I discovered axle leak in front axle; fluid running down inside of front tire.
Was told by service department that I had been "fording creeks", causing
"flooding" to front axle. Was also told that the front axle seals
were designed "only to keep transmission/differential fluid in" and
specifically 'not' to "keep water out".
Only after speaking with the head of the dealership did they say they fixed
it. They claimed the differential was flooded with water due to deep fording
of creeks (I have not). I have driven normally through puddles on a rough roadway,
hardly what I would consider a threat to the truck (4 inches deep puddles).
They claimed to have drained the fluid and the seal they left on the back of
the differential resembled a fifth grade art project; the sealant stuck out
around about 3/4 of an inch and looked terrible.
The leak re-appeared, so i took the truck back, with an appointment, and i parked
the truck on their service lot. I waited three days and called; they told me
they had fixed the problem. When i returned the truck was in the same place.
The leak magically reappeared about four days later. I took it back and they
said they couldn't find one. We're talking about a 1/2 inch wide streak of transmission
fluid from the front axle, down the inside of the front tire whenever the truck
was parked overnight. They said there was not a leak?!!!?
I took it to Dodge City motors in Columbia, Missouri. They treated me like i
had purchased the $38,500 truck at their dealership, although, unfortunately,
i had not and they fixed it promptly without complaint or question.
Frontier motors lied to me about the seal being 'designed to keep fluid in,
but not to keep water out'?!!!? And they lied to me about "fixing"
it the second time i had to take it back and caused me great inconvenience by
not providing a loaner vehicle. I believe they are cheats and liars. I have
heard from other Booneville residents that they are known to be crooked; I believe
it and will never buy anything from them again. Dodge City Motors in Columbia
was excellent and will have my business.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I had a pinion seal failure the day before I left for vacation in Wyoming. Service
department diagnosed problem. Parts weren't in stock. Dealership located parts
at a Dodge dealer 30 miles away. They drove and got the parts and had the truck
ready before closing. They provided this extra service without my asking them
to do it. All covered by warranty.
Parts department is great. Usually in stock; next day if it isn't.
