Our '04 dodge 3/4 ton diesel truck broke down on the side of the highway in
Oklahoma after having it repaired the day before at Hendren Autoplex. They assured
us that it was in top form and ready for a 500 mile trip. We called Hendren
from the side of the road in 26 degree weather at 7:30 in the morning on the
way to Texas for Christmas vacation. We spoke to CJ Sitzs and asked for a loaner
truck to get us to Texas for Christmas. He was extremely uncaring about our
situation and very unhelpful. He told me to take my truck back to where I bought
it from, that he "didn't need my business". He was aggressive, smart
and intimidating and just wanted to argue. He should not be working in the customer
service field. We needed help and he just made the situation worse. Very bad
business. Then we called Fletcher in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We asked them if
we were towed to them, could they please give us a ride to our home 20 mts.
away so that we could get my wife's vehicle and continue on our way. They told
us that they do not provide a shuttle service and we were on our own. You have
no idea and no way to comprehend how difficult and disturbing it is to be stranded
on the side of a highway in 26 degree weather with your family and Dodge drops
the ball. When you purchase a $35,000 truck that is barely two years old, you
really expect no trouble at all. But if it does happen, you do expect some sort
of assistance from the dealership. Finally, we called Muskogee Dodge in Muskogee,
Oklahoma and got some EXCEPTIONAL service, after hours of sitting on the side
of the road in 26 degree weather. The manager, Kenny, sincerely apologized for
our troubles with the truck, gave us a loaner to be on our way and properly
fixed our truck. He is the shining example of a customer service representative.
We have already told ourselves that we will never buy another Dodge, Chrysler,
etc.. product, but if we did, it would be from Muskogee Dodge. I can't tell
you what a decent manager and human being he is. He made our Christmas and he
deserves some kind of recognition for his good deed when everyone else dropped
the ball. Please contact us for further explanation as we would like to talk
to someone about this. It cannot be fully explained in an email. In a nutshell,
I would be ashamed to admit that a person like CJ Sitzs worked for me. We are
still talking to the Fayetteville dealership to find out exactly who we spoke
to at that location and will let you know.
