ok the sales guy tried to get me to drive 2 others which weren't what i had said i was looking for. jerry was his name i think whitman was his last name. so eventually i settled on 1 i liked and we went inside. i get he has other matters to handle during the day, but he was on the phone and in and out, mostly out of the office. eventually we got a deal hammered out.then we went to the finance guy,O MY GOD, this bastard was a total idiot. we asked specifically for one of the older credit unions in the area, by name, because i am a member and i wanted to work the loan through them. the bastard, his name is gunnar williams, said we don't deal with them, as he is sitting there looking at the book that has the credit union listed right there under his nose. get this he is the manager and he doesn't even know the credit union I'm part of, either he is plain incompetent or he was lying through his teeth. anyway long story short, the higher ups at the credit union took their lawyers and had a talk to the dealership and worked out my loan. gunnar tried to get me to do a 7.7% on a $10000 loan , mine only cost $7300. ok the credit union rate is only 4.24%

We tried to make a deal on a pre-owned Dakota. The salesman and the "boss" were certain that I could not secure a low interest loan from my credit union. When I decided to go home and set the loan up on my own there was a terrific bru-ha-ha about me not wanting to leave a deposit. We could have made the deal then and there if the "boss" would have gotten on the phone to verify my rate. Instead they were foucused on my deposit. I felt very pressured. The whole attitude of the place left a bad taste in my mouth. We bought another truck from a different dealership.
