My story is far from typical. After my 98 Dodge Ram finally gave up in jan.
05, with 150xxx miles on it, I opted to not put any more money in it and start
fresh. This was my first time dealing with Jason M. I purchased an 04 Ram regular
cab p.u. At the time, we only had our son, so the regular cab worked. In mar.05
we learned we were pregnant and needed more room. I went back to Royal Gate,
3 months later, and traded for the 05 caravan. Very nice vehicle, but, we just
were not mini-van folk. After driving full sized trucks for the past 10 years,
we really wanted the quad-cab ram.
But after buying 2 new vehicles already this year, we planned to wait until
sept. 06 to trade the van. Then I got a glimpse of the 06 quad-cab and knew
I couldn't wait. For one reason or another, I decided to look at another dealership,
where I got the run around and totally wasted my time. So, already being pumped
about a truck, I took the van in for service and stopped in on Jason M. ! just
to see what he thought about it. As expected, Jason went to work and 2 days
later, I drove home the truck I had been drooling over for the past 6 month.
I hadn't really been completely satisfied with my vehicles since my 98 ram,
which I had planned to keep forever, but Jason and the team at Royal Gate Dodge
saw to it that I got what I was after, and sent me home Friday night in the
hottest truck on the lot!! 3 brand new vehicles in the same year?? In case your
wondering, no, I'm not rich. Just your average blue collar family man, but with
the team at Royal Gate Dodge, and a salesman that honestly knows where your
coming from, you don't have to be. If it can be done, You will get it done at
Royal Gate Dodge. I have learned a lot this year, and thanks to Jason M. I can
finally relax and enjoy my new 2006 ram quad-cab.

Salesperson excellent. Patient. Didn't try to sell me something I didn't want.
Explained all charges fully before I signed. Staff extremely nice. Very helpful,
even after the sale. Explained all the features, etc. I crunched the car shortly
after buying, and the service people were extra friendly and helpful. They went
out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Even the Enterprise rental agent
based there was extra friendly and helpful.

I traded in my '03 Ram, the service department agreed to switch my custom wheels
for no charge. The salesman, Dale Knowles, was very good at contacting me and
keeping me in the loop during the whole process. This is by far the best service
I've ever received from a dealer. I'll go back again. Ask for Dale, he was a
great salesman and did everything he could to help me out.
This is my 4th Ram, '96, '98, '03, and now the '04. The HEMI in the '03 was
awesome, plenty of power...great for pulling and for acceleration.

I bought a used car (Cadillac Catera) from these people. Many promises were
made. They were not kept. Writing a letter to the General Manager did not help
at all. I never even received an answer.
1. I bought the car on January 8. As of this date Feb 24, I was promised but
still have not received: an owner's manual (this car has all options -- I really
need the book), a duplicate key (that works), or copies of the original papers
I signed. The salesman said I would get them "later". I didn't. I
finally (after many calls and more than a month)had to call the finance company
to ask for a copy. (more)
2. I was told that anything wrong with the car would be repaired free of charge.
When it came time for the repairs, I was told that I would have to promise to
pay half of the cost before the service department could even look at the car.
I refused.
3. To get my key (which still does not work) I had to take the salesman to the
Cadillac dealer myself -- a waste of my time. He acted like he was doing me
a favor!!!
I have given up on ever getting the owner's manual or the duplicate key, or
carbons of my original papers. It took three weeks just to get title papers.
I rode around in a car upon which I had no legal papers during this time. (When
I took my papers to get the car titled, I was told that this is not unusual
for this dealership. Calls to the salesman were of no avail. His name is Sean
Sanford. Don't waste your time on him. He will tell you anything to sell the
car but once it's sold, he will not keep his promises. Stay away from this place!!!
They talk a good game-- but that's all it is.
Stay away from Royal Gate!!!!

They completely tried to screw me over on a trade in i got 6000.00 more out
of a different dealership for my truck. They did a bate and switch on me to
get me in by saying they would appraise my truck and give me more but they had
a wholesaler make an offer after i got there. I had to ask 3 times to get my
truck even looked at after they wanted me to price out a new truck that i was
looking for. I talked to the sales manager and he gave me some BS. I will never
return there and hope people read this and do not go there also.
Do not go to Royal Gate Dodge.

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
We bought a vehicle from this dealer & they did not disclose that the company
that manufactured said vehicle was in bankruptcy at time of purchase & therefore
hinders solution of any problems. We were told we'd actually profit by purchasing
this vehicle. Salesperson even bragged that he "got his family members
out of them a.s.a.p." but never bothered to call us. Car has very, VERY
low mileage & a blown engine. Car was taken to shop on at least 6 occasions
for repair/complaints & we were told "vehicle performs like other like
vehicles". We got charged for tires & brakes & other items "covered"
under warranty. Now dealer refuses to rectify situation(2000 miles out of general
warranty) & instead is insistent on selling us a "new" vehicle
wherein we "eat" the cost of remainder of loan. We are going to be
charged to find out what caused blow up regardless of the fact that we'd complained
of "tapping" noise on two prior occasions.
We've have a witness that used to work for them & were told that they are,
"lying, thieving, ba**ards & that's why he quit". Even the salespersons
told us they're getting more & more complaints of people unsatisfied w/their
experience at Royal Gate. We are stuck & therefore have little or no choice
but to deal w/them again but we highly recommend that anyone avoid them like
10 plagues!
AVOID. A consumer, once stuck with a car has little to no avenues of resolution
as dealers are considered "middle men". We find it appalling that
we'll have to pay unknown amounts of dollars to get the issue(s) resolved &
we'll still end up screwed in the end. Buy somewhere else! PLEASE!

Received great care from sales and service. Purchased Ram pickup in June 2003.
Salesman was fantastic to deal with. A no hassle sale. Had some warranty work
done in July for a transmission seal leak. Repair was fixed correctly and without
any hassles. Will gladly purchase from them again.

Price gougers and total incompetence. I took my car in to have a coolant leak
fixed. After charging me $85 for diagnostics, they found no leak. Two weeks
later I was stuck on the side of the road because my car was overheating. Why,
because all my coolant ran out. I took the car back to the dealership, this
time they tell me my water pump is leaking and needs to be replaced. It cost
over $850 bucks (650 of that was labor) to get me back on the road. The next
time I drove to work, my car overheated and I was once again stuck on the side
of the road. I immediately took the car back in to the dealership and demanded
a loaner while they looked at my car. They told me they wanted to take a quick
look before giving me a car. Well, an hour and a half later they told me an
air bubble in the coolant caused the problem and it was not bled off properly
after the water pump installation.
They were not one bit sympathetic that their incompetence cost me hours of time
spent away from my job. I am never going back there again for service and will
not ever buy a car from them.

My husband and I have purchased several trucks from Don Atkins and have always
been satisfied, even if not so satisfied to start with. We use the service department
for oil changes and maintenance and the hours are great -- longer in the evenings
and hours on Saturday, very comfortable waiting area.

I brought my car in to find out what I could get on the trade of it. I told
the salesman Jim Ottomeier that I have greensheet so my price is set. All I
need is a trade amount. He told me $8000, so I left, he found a car that I wanted
and I came back the next night to fill out the papers. When I got there and
looked over the numbers. He only gave me $4000 in rebates when it should have
been $4500. It was down hill from there. As I looked at the paperwork I notice
that he stuck in $3500 EXTRA for the car I wanted. He said since he gave me
so much for my trade (keep in mind it is a 2000 and only a couple years old
and in mint condition) that he had to sell me the car at retail price. Now,
my husband works for Chrysler and as an employee we get a discount. He never
told me he was doing this he lied the entire time, then he proceeded to tell
me my car was junk!!!!! Needless to say I would never buy a car from them, if
you can't be honest from the first meeting, why bother. I made sure he knew
all the facts up front. Jim was extremely dishonest and not pleasant at all.
Warning to all. Go elsewhere, I am sure honest salesman exist out there somewhere.

The service department is a joke! It used to be good but, after this visit not
only do I plan to never return I plan to never purchase a dodge vehicle again.
The service department is rude. They lied to me about cost and time/wait. Why
do they make appointments???? Also, I was handed a receipt and keys never told
where the car was......yep I ended up walking around the lot looking and was
told by service department, "Oh you might want to look out back."
Give me a break!!! I would avoid these people at all cost.

I have bought 4 cars from this dealer, and I absolutely love them - I have nothing
but praise for them. They have always gone the extra mile to help me out - even
going so far as to drive me home if it was going to take longer than expected,
and even driven the car back to me.
I plan on buying my next car from them, and have encouraged my mother to do
so, as well. I find their service to single women by far to be the best I've
ever experienced.
Their service department has extended hours - the waiting room is clean and
comfortable.
Love them, can't say enough good things.

I have 97 Avenger with a leaking head gasket. When I went to the service department
to get an estimate I was charged $49.25 just to get an estimate. I feel that
is a very high price for something that other places provide for free!

Have been shopping for 2002 2500HD 5.9L V-8 Q.C. 4x2. Have beat the streets
for price, contacted this shop (twice) and both times was told 2500s for 2002
will not be made due to closure of Mexican plants. Well that's interesting,
then was told that 5.9 V-8 never was available with the man. trans. WOW.. How
do these places stay in business?!! Best tips for new vehicle purchase: 1. know
dealer cost 2. have financing in order before purchase 3. hold fast on your
price, your bottom line 4. Patience, Patience, Patience, you will survive to
drive!!
