These people are ridiculous. I went to buy a van 3 weeks ago. After my trade in, I paid blue book value. My trade in had issues so I didn't complain too much. Now they say the van I bought needs a NEW ENGINE and they want me to pay for it. These people are weasels and I would NEVER deal with them again. They rob you and run for cover. Beware of the lying sales team and the unscrupulous service department who ALWAYS sticks you with a $500 or more bill EVEN WHEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY!!!

Bought a used program 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Signed all the paperwork and took the car home. As soon as we arrived home the dealership called stating that the salesman had written down the wrong stock number on the car and they thought they were dealing on a different Jeep. They wanted us to come back to the dealer and take back our trade and give them the car we purchased back. They said that if we didn't, they would report our new car stolen and report us to the police. They even sent the salesman to our home in our trade to retrieve the vehicle we had just purchased. We told them to contact our lawyer and provided the phone number. Following a few more phone conversations, we told them all to go to hell. If you read this and you go to Royal Oaks in St. Peters, you get what you deserve. Past experience with service department on a previous Jeep also was very poor. They misdiagnosed both transmission and electrical problems. Worst car dealer I have ever experienced. You would have to hold a gun to my head to get me to go there again.

Took our dodge in for a transmission service,after waiting about 30 minutes the service manager came out and said his trans tech would not do the job. He said the fluid looked burned and did not want to do a service because he said it needed an overhaul.The car only has 41000 miles on it! We took it to CENTURY DODGE who not only did the Trans service but found nothing wrong other than a partially plugged filter.We have not been back to ROYAL OAKS since!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
I purchased a Concorde 2000, and have had nothing but problems with the vehicle and the service. Not even a week old had to take it back because the struts were bad, come to find out they had taken a good strut off my vehicle and put on another and never replaced this one. This went on off and on for about 6 months with the same problem. The service department is competent and so are the sales people. They are all very nice to you when you buy a vehicle but if you have to contact them afterwards they don't have the time to speak with you. My most recent encounter with them was this week, on my way to work my power steering stopped working and all my warning light came on. I barely made it to work. I called Royal Oaks (JOKES), and spoke to their service dept., which explained to me that my belt probably broke which controls your power steering and everything else on your vehicle (which it doesn't). I have extended warranty on my car, which I find out belts, hoses are not covered which is fine. They suggest I don't drive the vehicle due to possible overheating (since this belt operates my water pump which they told me) and it doesn't. Prior to having the car towed there, I look under the hood and the belt is not broken but the tension pulley, which is a cast iron bracket that holds this pulled, had completely broke off from the frame!!! I couldn't believe it, the car is just 2yrs old. I call Royal Oaks (JOKES) back and service then tells me it SHOULD be covered under our extended warranty. So I have the car towed to them. Royal Oaks (JOKES) calls me and tells me NOW it is not covered under warranty!! I was so mad. Went to the location showed the service mgr. the actual part which you could tell it was a defect due to the crack in the bracket, but still no go. They were going to charge me almost $400 plus towing to fix this..... Decided I had enough and told the service mgr. we would take the car some where it get it fixed for a third of the cost ($150)and to get our keys. Well guess what?? They couldn't find our keys, the mechanic that had looked at the car did not put the keys back on the peg board, NO WHERE to be found..... Service Mgr., had to end up calling the mechanic which had put the keys in his lunch box & took them home!!!! Had to wait on mechanic to bring keys back up. Do you think they tried to compensate us in anyway for the inconvenience, NO, or even wave the towing charges - OH NO..... Went in to talk to the Customer Relations Manager and of course he was busy. So I spoke with the Used Car Manager and all he could do was stammer around and say OH sorry about that. This is the worse car dealership I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately we have purchased (3) vehicles from then over the past (3) years and you would think that would make a difference to them. Well it has to us. EVERYONE please pass the word, do not patronize this dealership, you will be sorry......
