Several visits for the cold weather/high idle/3 cyl feature to be enabled. It still does not work, and we do get plenty of cold weather here for me to try it in. The service manager JEFF HOPKINS, would not help by contacting DC about the problem his tech. was having following the simple directions that were on the DC TSB that I provided.
Steering problems, the truck went in several times, once they said since I run my tires at 65# instead of 80# the steering will have extra play in it. No problem found, other occasions. I drove a new truck for a test drive and it drove better that mine, but again the service mis-manager found there to be no problem.
Last issue was clicking in steering column, noticeable while parking, turning at slow speeds and also wandering on the high way. They could not get me in for a week, so I told them I will be over on miles by next week, that was ok-thank you. But they did not have the parts, I understand, kept the truck overnight and fed exed the parts in. Then they did not have time to put them in and wanted to keep it over the weekend to fix it. I told them to put it together and I will bring it back in on Monday. Monday comes, they now have replaced trac bar and tie rods. I pick up the truck and before I get it out of the lot, the clicking in the steering column is still there. Keith P. service writer herd the sound and got the truck fixed for me again on another visit.
Besides Keith P, service advisor, and Mike May, salesman. The rest of the dealership should be avoided(including the finance dept, another long story), unless you want to keep going back there for your weekly visit.
p.s. I still have a terrible wind noise at the top of the drivers door, the same one that you could not duplicate, it duplicates every time I am over 50 miles per hour.
