Sales=Avoid, Service=Fair, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
05experience=First, went in to have warranty service done on the vehicle. When
the service dept. called to tell me the vehicle was ready, I told them I would
only be available to pick up the vehicle after the shop was closed. Service
Mgr. said that wouldn't be a problem because the dealership was still open and
my vehicle would be safe in their lot with the keys on the floor. Except when
I went to pick up my vehicle, the keys were locked in the vehicle. I went in
to the dealership to see if they could help, salesman's response was "it's
not my problem, you need to leave, we're closing now. So, I was left out in
the rain for 30min., waiting for Chrysler Roadside assistance to come out. Second
experience with sales dept. Went in to purchase vehicle outright, in cash, at
the end of the lease. Visited dealership to get the total price so I could get
a bank check to pay them. Went in 12 hours later with the check, but the price
had mysteriously gone up $700. Finance guy could offer no explanation as to
the price difference at all. Still wanted truck, went to bank next day, got
new cashier's check. Went in to dealership again, was told price went up another
$500 and change, so $1300 more than the previous morning. Still no explanation
as to why, would offer no itemization of the price, not give me the number of
anyone at Chrysler financial to talk to, nor allow me to see the price he was
looking at on his computer. Said F%#K it, tossed the keys at him and bought
a new truck outright at a dealership in Fremont. Then, a week later got a bill
for $5500 from Chrysler claiming I was over 30,000 over my max mileage. (I was
actually about 4,000 miles under the limit). Had to actually hire a private
investigator to prove my case. Turned out I was actually under the mileage But
the finance guy "forgot" to give me my copy of the mileage form he
signed with the correct mileage.
I've come to realize that the "5 star dealership" is a bunch of crap.
Unfortunate for us who live in rural areas and have only one dealership to choose
from. Love Dodge trucks, I'm only 24, but have bought several for ranching.
Nothing but problems with the dealerships, seem to have a very high turnover
of poorly educated, poorly motivated, probably felony convicted sales people.
