There is a technical service bulletin issued by Daimler chrysler on my 04 ram for warping of the rotors. A tsb is something put out by d/c admitting there is a problem but they only repair if you complain about it. It is a common problem on all ram 1500 03-05 model years. I called dealership about it and they said brakes were not covered after 12k miles. OK but the problem is with the rotors. They said it is not covered either. I only have 18k miles and now I have to replace brakes,rotors and calipers? They admit there is a problem, but say only in the first 12k? DONT BUY A DIAMLER CHRYSLER PRODUCT EVER!
I like the looks of my truck but,the service at carolina chrysler is very bad. The truck pulled to the right since day 1. I had it aligned at the dealer 2 times and it still pulled. The third time they said it was just road drift and was acceptable and they couldn't do anything else. I took it to colony tire and had an alignment done and they said it was over 1 inch out of alignment and that I had excessive tire wear now. I took the calibration printout to the dealer and compared specs. I wanted them to pay for the alignment. They said that they would need to call the machine guy to check their machine out before they would pay. Sure enough about 3 weeks later, I got a phone call from the dealer and they said their machine was off. I got a check after 3 phone calls to them. The service sucks at carolina chrysler.
