We purchased a 2005 Dodge Caravan approx. 90 days ago, the vehicle had 18000 miles when we took it off the lot. We have put about 4100 miles on it since then. Last week we noticed heavy brake dust on the front wheels, I washed the van on Sat. and it began to grind, on Mon. my wife took it to the dealership and was told that brake pads and rotors if needed would not be covered and the cost for pads is $180. She called me at work , I told her that $180 for pads is totally ridiculous. We took the van to Holland Mobil, he works on my truck when needed. He had to replace pads and rotors, the rotors have about a 1/8 groove in them, this cannot happen in 4000 miles. I was informed today that I will not be reimbursed. My cost was $226 and change, no one has even looked at the rotors that were taken off, I still have them. In the past I have driven 60000 miles a year , towing a tandem wheel trailer with my pick-up and didn't have to replace pads for 80000 miles. I might add that I have a mechanical back ground, I'm 59 yrs. of age.

I was charged 789.45 to replace a bad fuel pump. Parts 340.00, SUBLET REPAIRS 183.88, LAB-MECHANICAL 218.40,SUPPLIES 21.84, TAX 25.33
They will not return my calls and will not explain why they are higher than any other place on parts and service.
