Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=No,
After having initial telephone contact that was pleasant and accommodating,
when I arrived for my appointment, the service department was rude and unprofessional.
They did not honor the price quote that I received over the phone for a very
simple service of cutting and programming a new key for the vehicle - no repairs
needed. I scheduled an appointment over a week ago to have this done and arrived
ten minutes early for this appointment for which they seemed to not be expecting
me and mentioned I would have to come back this afternoon. For a service that
was to take an hour, I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes. I recently purchased my
vehicle at another dealership after a bad experience with the sales department
and I really hated that I had to bring my vehicle back here because they are
the only Dodge dealer in Goldsboro - I would tow my vehicle out of town before
I would return to this dealership for service and I will make sure to warn everyone
I know not to do business with the crooks at Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep.

Since we only hear about the negative/bad experiences on these sites, I thought
it would be more productive to share a positive experience. I purchased my 2006
300C SRT-8 new in July 2005 from a Chrysler Dealer in NC. Throughout the first
year of ownership two different dealerships (One in Cary, NC and one in Raleigh,
NC) attempted to correct a 'stalling condition' that the car exhibited on a
regular basis. With no solution in sight, and Chrysler STAR unable to provide
any guidance, I was told that I would be contacted with a solution. Months went
by and I heard nothing but "Wait patiently, there is a solution in the
works."
I finally contacted Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep and they too could not find
a solution to fix the condition. More importantly however, they were willing
to go the extra mile and get the proper people within Chrysler to get a new
car via a customer satisfaction buyout. This was a total surprise and something
that I never thought would happen. Within two days I was told that a new car
would be delivered to home. And BINGO! I now have a new car now.
Talk about Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction! I am happy.

Big waste of my time. Did not listen to what I wanted. And could fail to deliver.
They gave me the big run around. Very typical of the old way of selling cars.
Extremely pushy. Did not know much about the product. Extremely poor communication.
I did not buy from this dealer. I
Went to the ford dealer who found the dodge I was looking for and was very up
front. ".........................avoid"........if you are look for
an up front dealer who works well with people who know what they want.

Goldsboro cdj are crooks! I brought a 04 concorde from there in late 04. i originally
wanted a jeep but was told i couldn't afford it right now by the salesman. I
then was told "we have a program for our military personnel that puts you
in a car and helps you build your credit so in a couple months you can get that
jeep you want". I was told just take the Concorde for 5-6 months and you'll
be ready for that jeep. I stupidly agreed when it came don't to the 18.9% interest
rate i was told it was a part of the STEPS/MILES program and it would only be
until you bring the car back and you get your jeep. I again agreed. they told
me the only way i would get stuck in the Concorde was to miss/late car payment.8
months past without missed /late payments.time for my new jeep? I went back
to the dealer and they acted like they didn't know what i was talking about.
they told me they would deal with it and had me test drive nearly every car
on the lot. when it came to the one i choose, they told me i had had too much
negative equity in the Concorde At this point i knew i had been had and tried
to make the best of a bad situation. they told me the only way to get out of
the negative equity was to lease a car. i rejected the offer and left the building
facing the fact i was stuck with the Concorde the next day My pal Hal called
me and asked to speak to me personally. I thought finally justice. wrong!!!
we agreed to a dodge durango because it had enough rebates to cover some of
the negative equity. i said ok, the wife picked out the color and the price
was agreed upon. when it came down to signing, the deal was all wrong. we had
both agreed that i was buying the car at 650 per month with 7.9% interest. the
paper work said 734 per 48 month LEASE. i WAS SO MAD I pushed the table and
began yelling. the next day i received a phone call again telling me that the
situation was taken care of the told me i could get a pacifica for 4.9% 7 year
bumper to bumper. I was happy to get the deal over with. wrong again, i happened
to ask the question "so you found someone that will take the Concorde"?
he told me the only way the deal could work is to let the Concorde GO BACK,
AS IN REPO. they had the sales guy take me out on a test drive and try to convince
me that repos are not what they used to be and credit companies don't care about
things like that anymore. I was so mad I could have hit somebody but my military
career is more important than a stupid auto dealer. I can wait until the dealer
closes. and the owner is on the military affairs committee? what's wrong with
that? what goes around comes around. it's amazing what the love of a dollar
bill will turn people into.
service: i had taken that Concorde down to the shop 4 times for an knock that
occurred when the car was in idle. they always told me they fixed it but never
did. they suck. also, every one in that building is unfair and crooked with
the exception of three salesmen, dee, young black guy and a older black woman,
who where honest as they could be without loosing their jobs. these practices
come from the owner, not to mention you sit in there all day when it comes down
to signing the paper work. i have come in there on a fri at 2 o'clock and didn't
leave until 10 pm without the deal being finished !!!

This sounds like a classic bait and switch dealership. Also, shame on this
dealership for shafting men and women who are willing to put their lives on
the line to defend the USA. I would walk before I would buy a vehicle at a dealership
like this. Dave F

I attempted to purchase a Dodge Van. Myself and the sales-person came to an
agreement on the purchase price. After the sales-person completed the contract
I noticed the price was approx. $800.00 above the price we agreed upon. The
sale-person told me the $299.00 protection plan was something he had to sell
with each vehicle and it was not an option. I disagreed and questioned him about
the $499.00 DOC fees. He told me these charges were mandated by Chrysler and
they also were not an option. After disagreeing even more about hidden cost
the sales-person finally told me he could not sell the van at the price he had
given me so he had to try to inflate the cost with these extra things to recover
his profits. I sure you understand I refused to purchase this or any other vehicle
for Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership. I though that kind of salesmanship
when out years ago. I was wrong! Use caution if you try to buy from this dealer.

I purchased a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan, on Sept 26. 2001. I recently
wanted to end my lease, due to the fact I need a handicapped accessible van.
I called for a pay off, and Provident said, $24,871. I freaked. I had been leasing
this van for several years, and the purchase price was less than what they are
quoting by several thousand dollars-nearly 3 YEARS AGO!!!!! so, I look at my
so called lease contract, and none of it is signed by the dealer!!! none of
my paper work had been signed!!!! So I call the dealer, and they say bring the
van by, we'll look at it, but there is nothing we can do about it. So I call
a friend who is Air Force O.S.I. who had been ripped off by the same company,
and I talked with an attorney, needless to say, they say the van was never legally
leased to me, and should have never left the lot!!! and now the manager refuses
to return my calls!!! hmmm sound fishy to you??

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
I took my Breeze to this dealership with brake problems. The lady at the reception
that handles maintenance service appointments was o.k. The service department
itself is totally out to lunch. My wife's brakes were bad. When I took it into
this dealership, they stated that for 350.00 + they could adjust and shape the
rotors and fix them temporarily . The second time I went in...they said I needed
new rotors and that there was nothing that they could do about the previous
visit in which almost 400.00 was lost. The brakes were not EVEN CLOSE to being
even looked at. I took my vehicle to Benton Tire on Ash st. and they fixed the
brakes for 359.00 and they have been fine since. My was pleased and so was I
for their service and the concern for her safety driving that car with bad brakes.
They stated that the brakes were totally bad and that there hadn't been any
work apparently on those brakes. I will never, ever go to a Chrysler dealer
again or buy another Chrysler product as long as I live. If this is the kid
of crap that they want to pass on to poor unsuspecting customers. Money, it's
all about money, NOT SAFETY FOR THE CONSUMER. I don't mind paying what's needed
for my wife's safety but not like this dealership did her and I. Total disregard
for safety,,,,,just....SHOW ME THE MONEY." I'll stick with GM products,
at least they have shown some sort of honesty.

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
I had a '01 Ram 1500 QuadCab 4x4 Sport. It all started when I had an oil leak.
I took it to them, and they said that they ran some dye through it and that
they can't find anything and to bring it back when it gets worse. Ok, I did,
a week later I returned because of the leak. This time they said it is the oil
pan gasket (I thought differently, which I did mention), so they ordered one
and replaced it. Well, that didn't fix it, so they replaced it again. At this
point, I am highly irritated at this dealer. I come back in about a month later
(when it is leaking really bad from the rear main seal) and they finally replace
the seal, which fixed it. Then, for about a year I had been getting this knocking/tapping
sound from the drivers side floor board, I can't even count how many times I
took it to the dealer, just for them to turn me away and bring it back when
the problem gets worse, well finally I found a TSB under this site (dodgeram.info)
last month, I have looked there a few times before and never seen anything about
the problem I was having. Well needless to say, I took it back to them, and
some how or another I ended up in a '02 Ram. I love this new truck, but only
then did this dealership get put on my bad list. They screwed me with a high
interest rate 13.25% (I am in the process of refinancing it), well then I ordered
the keyless remote and the EVS II Sentry Key System w/ IPS. Well, according
to Mopar it takes .5hrs to install the keyless remote. So I installed, in about
15min (one box that plugs into the back of the instrument cluster), then I had
to get the remotes programmed (5-10min max) so I took it back to the same dealer
(big mistake, closer Five Star is 45min away, I know it would be worth it),
they charged me $76 and they had my truck for 45min in the shop. I questioned
the stupid service lady and she just blew me off. Correct me if I am wrong,
to me, that is way to much money to be charging any one to program a remote,
that is ridiculous. Then, it came time to install the alarm system. I called
them back to get a quote (unfortunately the same lady-Karen answers the phone),
she said they quoted a guy last week $460+-, I told her that she is out of her
mind, and that there is no way I nor anyone else should pay that much money
for 1.5hrs (Mopar install time) of work. She was like well you sure do know
quite a bit and I was like yeah, that's because I looked at the Mopar manual,
the same manual that you guys use. She put me on hold for a few minutes and
came back and said that they would lower it to $345. Right there they just questioned
themselves. I asked her what per hour charge do they have and she said they
don't have any set limit on something that I have. I tell you, that really ticked
me off, and when I asked to speak with the Service Manager (she gave me the
run around), that's when I told her that I am going to call Chrysler (being
that they keep telling me they are Chrysler Owned) and make a complaint about
there shady business they are doing and that something needs to get done about
there service charges. I will fill the same way about any dealership who charges
these outrageous prices. I ended up installing the system myself except for
plugging in the key decoder (I will do that when I go to a Five Star dealership
to get the keys cut and programmed) and it took me about 45min once I got used
to reading the picture diagrams that Mopar sends for installation instructions.
Just a note: I can handle them charging $150 to maybe $250 dollars for them
to install it, but not no $345. Also one last thing that ticks me off about
Mopar is why should anyone have to pay any amount of money to have remotes programmed.
They should already come programmed when they make them or at least provide
the customer a way to program the remotes themselves.
Trust me, I am not the only one that has had this sort of problems with this
dealer. I am in the Air Force and I can recall at least 20 people (of them,
10 I do work with) that would just love to see this dealer go under. Oh yes,
as far as sales goes, the Salesman was upfront and honest, but when it came
time for talking figures, lets just say I don't get headaches too often, but
when I left there, I had the biggest headache ever in my life, it was almost
not worth it!!!! I urge anyone who wants a Chrysler owned vehicle, to stay far
away from Goldsboro CDJ in NC. Make a trip to the closest 5 Star!
