Very good experience. Sales consultants at this store are well trained and listen
to the customer and what their needs are. A volume dealer where price is not
an issue.

Without question, The best sales and service staff i have ever encountered in
my 25 years of vehicle purchase and vehicle repairs. I would highly recommend
this dealership and have to many of my friends which said they had the same
good service.

I have purchased two vehicles from Hedrick and have been very pleased with both
experiences and the service I have received from them. In both cases I got my
vehicles for just dollars above the invoice minus all the rebates and add on
items I did not want. Both times we negotiated the price but I understand they
have to make money just as I do in my business. The thing that makes it so good
is the treatment from all the staff. The sales staff stays in touch after the
sale and service after service visits. As for service, I had a problem with
my transmission a month after purchasing the last truck. The technician came
out and explained to me what had happened to my vehicle. He took me back to
the vehicle pointing out things as he spoke to me so I would understand. I was
told that it would take 3-4 days for parts to arrive. Parts were in within 2
days and the truck was ready for me to pick up. Then about a week later a guy
calls to make sure everything was fine with the repairs. Will Ii go back? With
attention like that, you better believe it.

I bought a Dodge Ram from Hendrick Dodge In April of 2003. The sales person
was a woman, Angelene, and was very pleasant. She was eager to get me the vehicle
that I wanted at the price I wanted. The entire staff worked to get me where
I wanted to be without a lot of haggling over price. This was one of the best
sales experiences I have ever had. Shortly after I had bought the truck I had
a service issue and my first thought was that I had purchased a lemon and now
had to deal with the service department. I was very surprised and pleased to
find that my fears were unfounded.
The service staff told me that day that they would have to order parts and they
may not be in for two-three days. The next day I got a call the parts were in
and my truck was fixed. Haven't had a concern since. When asked how the parts
got there so quickly after being told it may take 2-3 days I was informed that
when my truck was looked at the first day it was right at the cut off time for
getting orders in that day and my order may not have made the cut off. So rather
than tell me the parts would be there the next day and then they not arrive,
they extended it a day. I was glad that my expectations and hope was not built
up for a next day arrival if I could have been let down. Am I happy with Hendrick
Dodge? You better believe it. Every service visit since then has been good,
they may not have been all in my favor, but the staff has been honest and fair
with me and that's all i ask.
I will buy from Hendrick again and have referred two friends that bought, one
who got a better deal than I did because of a special rebate.

Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Maybe,
Bought a Dodge Grand Caravan in 1997; It was an exasperating experience. Usual
good-cop / bad-cop between sales manager and sales person. Walked out and was
buckling the kids in the car seat before sales manager game running out to say
they would accept my offer. My offer was $1000 less than what they insisted
was their absolute-bottom-we-are-losing money price. What does that tell you
about their honesty. My offer was more than fair for a program vehicle with
3000 miles, last years model, bought at year-end.
Second experience was even worse. Same good-cop / bad-cop routine. However this
time the game playing was even worse. -- First it was the today-only $8000.00
off sticker-you-will-never-see-this-price-again-but-you-have-to-buy-today. By
the way your car that you bought from us and maintained with us for the last
6 years is only worth $2000 BELOW Kelly Blue Book Trade-in value for a car of
that age and condition, and your lucky to get even that. I walked.
- I then got a call to come back (Ploy: "There is a different sales manager
here today, he is more reasonable"). Price was a little better, and trade-in
was raised to $500 below Kelly Blue book, Trade-in ($5000) easily recoverable
even if Hendrick chose to off-load the car at wholesale auction, and about #1000
- $1500 below what I would get if I could be bothered selling it myself; about
$2000 below what the dealer would get if they chose to spruce it up and put
it on their own lot.
- Did some research and found total rebates on the vehicle were $4500, $500
of which was not listed in the offer made to me. Called the dealership and said
I would buy if that rebate was applied and the ludicrous $600 'care package'
fee was taken off the price - i.e. now a fair price, dealership still making
a good profit on a high-end model, end-of-year sale for a 2004 vehicle. (Also,
dealer is fully aware that Dodge Grand Caravan is undergoing radical modifications
for 2005 model (fold-flat seats) which are making new-vehicle 2004 model much
harder to sell). Sales person said yes, we had a deal.
- Arrived at dealership to be told that $500 rebate and 'care package' already
included in price offered previously. Utter waste of my time. I walked.
- Spent a few days trying to find the particular vehicle / color / options I
wanted but could not, so had to go back and buy at Hendrick. Only concession
they would make was to give me towbar and extra headset for the DVD at 'dealer
cost'. Would not even install the tow-bar for free.
- Effectively wasted 3 - 4 days of my time for a price that was MORE THAN A
NO-HAGGLE PRICE FROM CARS-DIRECT.COM for identical vehicle and options. The
only reason I bought from Hendrick was that they had the vehicle on the lot
and were local, and I had a long trip to go on with my family at Xmas. CarsDirect
might not have been able to get the car to me in time.
- Rated Service as 'Poor' because they overcharge for labor and parts. Also,
had to point to parts that were covered under their own warranty program a couple
of times, that they were trying to charge for. However, actual mechanics pretty
good, and have been given repair options without pressure to select the most
profitable one.

The sales staff is one of the most knowledgeable I have ever seen. They were
able to answer every question I had and made sure I was comfortable while in
the dealership. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle Hedrick Dodge
needs to be your first stop. The sales manager made sure to say hello and thank
my wife and I for our business.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I put 4 experiences with this dealer because the 1st one I leased a RAM 1500
in 2000. The next 3 experiences all surrounded trying to trade the leased RAM
in to purchase a 4x4 2002 Dakota. I say three experiences because each of the
three times I was there we would verbally come up with a monthly payment, then
when it was time to sign the paperwork the payment would be $50-$70 per month
more that verbally agreed. I left the first time. I was called at home and at
work, pressured to trade the bad lease for what I saw as a worse purchase agreement.
The salesman refused to tell me the loan interest rate which was also very irritating.
The 2nd call back occurred when I was told over the phone they got the payment
where I wanted it. I showed up and again the payment ballooned back to the higher
payment when it was time to sign. The 3rd call back they were sure they had
it worked out, I cleaned up my truck and cleaned out personal items because
of their assurances. I showed up ready to sign, and guess what. Yet again for
the final time, they had forgotten a couple things and the payment was going
to go up another $55 per month when I signed. $50 a month may be doable, but
at this point, it was the principle. I am happy with the RAM product but would
like to own vs lease, and also get 4 doors and 4x4. I will continue to look
to do this but will not go to this dealership again as long as I live. And of
course, I did my job as a very irritated customer and told anyone who I could
get to listen about how shady the Hendrick Dodge dealership is. Bottom line:
They obviously knew they couldn't get the payment where I wanted it. Instead
of being up front and dropping the sale, they continued to pressure me to trade
my truck in and take the higher payments, then outright lied to me about payments
hoping that once I was back in the dealership they could get me to sign the
deal. Where I'm from, that's called Shady!

What a Nightmare. I ordered my 2003 Ram 3500 there. We estimated and agreed
on a price that was fair for them and me since I did all the work and all they
had to do is give me my truck. But the catch was, they were going to screw me
over the trade in. I felt like I was played. They knew I wanted that beautiful
new truck so bad but I sucked it up and left. Bought a Ford F350 the next day,
they offered me 8K more for my trade in and the truck that was invoiced at a
higher priced cost me less. I didn't have to beg, or harass the salesman. I
told him I wanted the first FAIR and honest price without ripping me off and
he took off almost 7.5 K off the sticker of a brand new F350 2003. Summary I
hate Hendrick Dodge and unless you are out of your mind you wouldn't go there
to shop.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
These guys are a gang of thieves. They railroaded me into a balloon financing
(which I accept as my own fault for not researching options better) after bending
me over on the price. They used the old "let me check with my boss" routine.
Then when you finally get to talk to him he's an ahole who works his hardest
to convince you that he really doesn't need to sell you this truck because it's
practically already sold to 10 other people already, and that if you want it
you better act now. The only reason I conceded to their BS tactics is because
the truck had all of the options I wanted and it was sitting on the lot ( in
retrospect I know that was a huge mistake ) other dealerships that I had talked
to would have to order the truck the way I wanted it. In short I knew more about
the product they were trying to sell me than they did and I caught them in lie
after lie. I paid dearly for dealing with Hendrick Dodge, but I will not repeat
that mistake. As for the service dept. I can't speak for the technicians( because
you never get to speak to them ) You are forced to have to try to relate your
problem to this sorry waste of a paycheck moron know as the Service Consultant.
PLEASE! the jerk doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground. You can guarantee
that what ever you tell this waste of skin won't get relayed to the person who
actually works on your vehicle. I do all of my own service, but I figured I'd
make use of my new vehicle warranty on a few occasions. It was nothing short
of aggravation every time. I am a Mopar man from way back, but if owning a new
Mopar meant having to deal with Hendrick Dodge again, I'll be driving a Chevrolet.
My Dodge truck has served me well ( thanks to my own diligence ) I would buy
another new one (although I can't stand the fact that I would be putting food
on some Germans table while hard working Americans are losing their jobs ) BUT
IT MOST CERTAINLY WON"T BE FROM HENDRICK DODGE IN CARY N.C.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know,
Have purchased 2 Ram 2500 diesel trucks - deals were made over the phone from
Virginia, drove down and trucks were as advertised, serviced, full of fuel,
and financing was taken care of in an excellent manner. I did not trade a vehicle
in on either deal so have no experience in that respect. I do my own servicing
(actually my son does it)as its just a bit far to drive for an oil change. The
first truck has 148,964 miles and no problems (business truck) sold business
so had to have a new truck to pull boat, got one of the first 2002's available
in this area other dealers didn't know when they would be getting any, probably
wanted me to buy a 2001 that was on the lot (would have if they had talked $$$).
I have nothing but good to say about my dealings. Courtesy is contagious and
that is a two way street.

Dealership/sales- Walked in on a Friday afternoon just to look and compare to
prices from Roundtree Dodge in LA. Found 4 trucks I wanted to look at, 2 the
exact same everything. Gave me keys for the weekend, yes weekend. Went back
Monday afternoon to make offer at 21K, 3400 below MSRP. Little did I know, they
put an add in the paper and were running the bait and switch, but the bait and
switch truck was the other truck exactly like the one I drove, i.e. A/C, cruise
and large V8. Got the truck for 19K. Sales person very friendly and helpful,in
and out in one hour. Sales manager wanted us to buy the truck we drove, but
hell no. Have had no real experience with service except to buy stuff from,
mat, seat covers (worth it, fits perfect), and black plastic stripe on tailgate
(ST club cab) Service staff gave very nice discount for bulk and probably my
girlfriend sweet talking.

The worst dealership I have ever been into. The sales people love to play games
and insult your intelligence. Spent hours trying to work a deal. They try to
put the screws to you in the way of trade in and won't come down on price for
the new. Salesman acts like he doesn't know what price of vehicle is and he
has no power to make the deal. Has to keep checking with his bosses. I wouldn't
accept a vehicle from them if they were giving them away. AVOID like the PLAGUE.
I've known thieves that have better morals!!!!

Sales=Excellent, Service=Good,
Today I just bought my second Dodge from Hendrick and had a very good experience!
This time though I was very undecided whether I was going to buy a truck or
SUV. My salesman again was Bob Dolan took all the time necessary to help in
this process by not being pushy or rude and listening to his customer, ME. He
had the answers to my questions and knew his inventory. After doing a little
homework I came back to deal. I got what I though was a fair trade in value
for my trade and a very good deal on my new truck. Overall my second experience
was better than the first. Would I shop there again? Yes! Id rate the salesman
a 9 outta 10. Id rate my overall experience as a 9.

I ended up driving 2 hours to another town to buy my truck because the sales
staff here is so scabby. They try to tire you out for hours and get you to agree
to horrible terms.
Sales=Avoid,
Service=Don't Know,
The sales staff here is the worst I have ever seen. They try all of the tricks.
I spent hours on their sales floor, and never worked out a deal. They do the
"good cop-bad cop" routine with the sales person and the sales manager. They
will screw you on price, trade-in, and financing. I went to another dealership
(Dickinson Dodge in Fayetteville, NC) and got a $2000 better deal in 15 minutes.

Sales=Poor, Service=Poor,
Have purchased 2 vehicles at this place. The first time I got exactly what I
was looking for at a fair price. The second time was a different story. I walked
in with a bunch of information I downloaded from the internet about invoices
and fair prices. They split up the sales force. There is the sales guy that
from is really really nice and will do what ever you want(good cop) and the
manager who in my situation told me the price I wanted to pay for the vehicle
was insane and Insinuated the vehicle would be sold as soon as left and he refused
to give me a decent trade in for my current vehicle . Seemed to me to be an
old school sales guy that was highly offended that I thought I knew what I was
talking about. He was going to win at all costs. But he had an ace up his sleeve.
He knew I really wanted the truck. After about a week of phone calls and haggling
I bought the truck at a little bit more then I wanted to but less then he wanted
me too. The result of this week of annoyance is I am never buying another vehicle
at this place again... period. Its a shame because the first car I bought there
was a really really painless experience. I also had some work done at the shop.
Way Way Way over charged and couldn't answer why. Had a tonneau cover put on
my truck. Was supposed to be done at 1 then 1 30 then I was in the neighbor
hood and showed up at the shop at 2pm. The truck was not done, still in the
parking lot no cover in site. I left at 2:15. At work I got a call at around
4pm saying the truck was ready and apologizing. So far so good. Picked up the
truck around 7pm and was charged for 3hrs labor. Now I am not a math major but
2-4 is 2 hrs. No one was around to complain to this about so I left and called
just this morning and have yet to get a call back. On top of that there is a
deep scratch on the tonneau cover. That's it, my experience with Hendrick Dodge.
Not really good but those are the facts. Love the truck. Cant stand the dealership.
From
Dirt:
I traded my 97 1500 4x4 on a new 99 2500 Diesel left over. White/driftwood 4x4,LB,QC,SLT,suregrip,4:10,infinty,steering
wheel controls for radio, camper, tow, keyless all for $800 below invoice. I
went to Hendrick Dodge in Carey NC and it was the best buying experience I've
had buying a new vehicle ever. Talk to Bob Dolan.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent,
I did my shopping around and ended up talking to a guy named Bob Dolan. He's
not pushy and he's very helpful. I told him on the phone that I wanted to drive
the truck and hear no sales pitch and I wanted him to make sure there was gas
in the truck so I could drive it as far as I wanted to. There's nothing worse
than driving a truck with a fuel light on. They had a large selection of trucks
and was very reasonable when it came down to deal. Would I buy there again?
YES!!!!! Very good sales staff, talking to someone waiting on their truck in
service its supposed to be very good too. This was the easiest buying experience
I've ever had.
