Sales=Excellent, Service=Excellent, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
I have been to several dealerships in the Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem,
and Kernersville area. Kernersville Dodge beats them all. I used to take my
Dakota there for service and never had any problems. Then, I bought a 2003 Ram
2500 from them, and it was the best sales experience I've ever had. Of course,
I did my homework first, and I think this is a mistake that some buyers make.
I had a couple of flaws, which they corrected. Their parts dept. is very good
too. Overall........This is the best dealership in this area. I am always treated
with courtesy and respect. And their prices are always fair.
In one of the previous posts, there was mention of buying accessories and then
complaining about an installation price. Just because you buy it there doesn't
mean that installation is free. Parts, sales, and service are three separate
divisions. And service cannot work for free. Most of the accessories that were
mentioned could have been installed easily by the customer. Fog lights and running
boards do require professional installation.
I just want all the readers of this forum to know that some people do have a
positive experience at this dealership. Kernersville Dodge Rules!!!

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
We bought a 2002 caravan in July. We was very happy with the experience in the
showroom. Sales people was friendly and helpful. Our salesman (Fred Cook) done
a wonderful job in helping us pick out the van my wife wanted. At 3000 miles
we took it in for service and decided to buy some extras for the van. We spent
$1575.00 (950.00 parts 625.00 labor)on accessories(bug guard,running boards,rear
tray,fog lights,license plate,locking gas cap)after a 15% discount on parts
and supposedly saved on labor. After buying the products I was under the impression
that it included the installation. When I made the appointment with the service
tech he told me it would be reasonable.$625.00 is not reasonable to me. I did
not argue when he told me the accessories was covered under the 36/36,000 mile
coverage. Well it cost me but my wife was happy. Around middle of October the
electric door started to not operate properly. Took the van up to get it checked
out said they could not do anything until it went out completely. The door would
work off and on . So I video taped what the door was doing. Then we noticed
the fog lights were out. I took the van back up to the service department. They
fixed the lights and ordered a latch for the side door. The next day the fog
lights went out again. While waiting on the call back for a appointment,we noticed
the rear hatch was crooked. About 1 1/2 weeks later the the part arrived and
a appointment was made. They installed the latch and the lights (after blaming
the ice storm,when the lights went out before the storm)said they could do nothing
for the rear door wanted to send to another dealer. The van would be ready the
next day. I called around 3:00pm and was called back at 5:00pm and told the
van was ready. Great I would be there to get it around 6:00pm. I was told to
see the service clerk. I also let them know I had to be back in Archdale at
7:00pm no problem. When I get to the dealership the paper work was not ready.
The service tech was in a meeting. She got another service tech to finish the
paper work. Then they could not find the keys. Then found out the van was not
even on the lot. After 10 - 15 min waiting they found the van, it was still
at the other dealership. After all I have been though this was the best. I was
told I had to walk over to the dealership(2 Blocks) to get the van. So me and
my 7 year old (that was getting over a cold) took off walking in the 35 -40
degree damped weather. When we get over there the service people was gone. Called
the dealership and the tech that was helping me left. A sales manager at Vestal
helped me find the paint department manager. Luckily he was still there. They
could do nothing with the rear door. I got the service manager about the issue.
Well another appointment was made. They installed a control module. Was going
to send the van over to someone else to fix the rear hatch. The next day I got
the van the rear door looked great. The sliding door was operating fine but
will take time to see if it was fixed. Well it has been 3 days side door seems
fine. I do not know if it is the cold weather or the snow. Me and my wife went
to go to the store and the rear tail light assembly was falling off. When I
inspected the light I found out how they fixed the hatch. They adjusted the
lights to even the gap in the door. I will be calling the dealership on Mon
1/20/03 and I hope this will be fixed.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
I recently bought a 2002 Dodge Caravan from Kernersville Dodge. I will never
go there again. We signed all the papers and thought everything was a done deal.
Two weeks later the salesman calls and says that we had signed the wrong papers,
and we had to return there today and sign new papers or they would come and
get the van. So, we went and re-signed. We told the salesman that we needed
to keep our payment down and when we signed the first time they would be right
where we wanted it. We were told that our payment would only go up $10.00 a
month. SO NOT TRUE!!! We received our payment book a few days later and our
payment was $57.00 dollars higher than what we had been told. I will never go
there again. We were lied to and treated like we didn't mean anything to them.
I would advise anyone who is interested in a dodge vehicle to go elsewhere.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
After a horrible experience over valve rattle (which I eventually repaired with
new valve springs and lifters at 13000 miles, thanks to another dealer {Earnhardt
Dodge in AZ, I think} telling me the truth) I told the sales staff that I would
trade the Dakota in but they refused to even talk to me about trading. I finally
found a great dealer in Dothan AL and got rid of the Dakota just because of
my experience with Kernersville. I would not have even considered another Dodge
if it had not been for the Cummins engine. While I do love this vehicle, it
most likely will be my last Dodge product.
I do have to admit that the service dept did a good job on the recall of the
fuel pump, however, one of their less than caring mechanics also slammed a car
door into the side of my truck causing it to get a quick trip to the body shop
(at their cost). Also one of their mechanics thought that my truck must have
been a $30,000 trash can as he through some old sparkplugs in the bed of it.
Please tell me that they are not all this bad. BTW, they are a 5 Star Dealership,
sure worries me about the 4 Star and below dealers :-)

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Good,
Would rate excellent if a current problem had been solved (waiting on DC suggestion
for possible problem resolution - "overdrive kicks in and out under cruising
conditions". Other work done has been in excellent category
