Brought my Ram 1500 in for 30,000 mile service. I know for sure they worked on the radiator because they did not put the cap back on!!!!! Left me stranded on rt3 with on overheated engine. I walked to a gas station and bought some radiator fluid (8$) after finding the cap lodged in the the engine compartment. Got home and called Mellonhead, told them what happened. They offered to fully go over the vehicle and give it a top to bottom cleaning. Told them I would not let them touch my truck again, not even with a sponge. Told them all I wanted was the 8 bucks it cost to fill the radiator. Never got the 8 bucks.

My family would go to Allen Mello exclusively because we knew the owner but now we have all stopped going to this dealer. We do not know if it has been sold to new owners but their service has gone down to an abysmal level. I recently took my truck in for new tires. A month later I had a flat and in the process of removing the tire noticed that the tire was inside out. On the side facing in towards the truck a note on the tire said ?this side out?. I took this to a tire dealer and asked what this was all about. They asked me ?what incompetent service center? did I go to that would ruin the function of the tire by putting it on backwards. I told them I went to the dealer and they called it right away. ?Allen Mello?? they said. Furious I went to the dealer and requested they fix the problem. They proceeded to tell me I did not know what I was talking about and basically called me an idiot. When I took them outside and showed them the tire clearly stating that they had the wrong side facing out they still refused to admit they were wrong. Their service department can?t even follow directions. Avoid this dealership at all costs they will put you in danger by improperly installing replacement equipment and then say that it was your fault for having them install it.

I dealt with 3 different salesmen. All were helpful and appeared to be knowledgeable about the products. I knew what I wanted before I went to the dealership and made that clear to the sales staff so there was no attempt to sell me a vehicle I wasn't interested in. They were very helpful in suggesting possible options that I may be interested in based on my preferences. Service was a different story. After having the vehicle for less than a week the instrument cluster failed which disabled the keyless remote entry system. The key itself also would not unlock the door.
The service rep at the dealership had me call the Chrysler 1-800 number. They wouldn't help because lockouts weren't covered. I eventually had to get the service manager involved who arranged that the truck be towed back to the dealership. I had intended to wait for them to fix the truck but after waiting for over an hour they said they needed to order a new cluster. They reluctantly gave me a loaner vehicle after making it clear that I wasn't entitled to one and that they were doing me a favor. It took 3 days for them to replace the cluster and fix the connecting rod on the door lock. When I picked up the truck it had an extra 260 miles on the odometer. When I questioned them about this they said that when they order the clusters they "estimate" the mileage based on the age of the vehicle and that if I wanted it set correctly they would have to order another instrument cluster. I didn't want to have to leave the truck there again so I declined. In the grand scheme of things 260 miles isn't really a big deal. But considering all they had to do was call me for the mileage I found it unprofessional as well as very annoying. The only pleasant experience was dealing with the Service Manager in getting the truck back to the dealership. He was the only one who seemed genuinely interested in helping me with the problem.
Overall I love this truck. Non warranty work is most likely not going to be performed at the dealership.

I went in to ask two simple questions. One was whether they could disconnect the alarm system that has continued to go off at will and two, whether it would be covered under my extended warranty (Don't buy one, they never cover anything). It was like the person I was talking to wasn't on the same page, and others were listening, and no one else said anything either. It was all double talk. He acted like he didn't know what I was asking, and then he said it would be $90.00 to look at it. All I wanted mainly was a price for disconnecting the alarm. I can't be the first person who has wanted that done. He then said that maybe it wasn't an original alarm with the van. It is operated by the key that comes with the car for goodness sake. He asked if I bought it used, and I did, but I'm sure that no one added an after market alarm. The whole thing stunk. I would never step foot in the door, and I do plan to buy another Caravan.

Very Shady Dealership would recommend all stay far far away from this scumbag infested rathole. I was sold A Jeep Grand Cherokee which had a branded (salvaged) title. Was I ever made aware of this NO!! The Sneaky salesman signed off on this paperwork without notifying me in any way. I did not find this out until two years after my purchase which at the time I was attempting to sell my vehicle only then was the title issue brought to my attention I quickly headed down to Allen Mello Dodge to ask was this true??? had you sold me a salvaged vehicle without my knowledge in fact they HAD!! No one is to be trusted there NO ONE. I wouldn't buy water from them if I had ten dollars in my pocket and I was dying of thirst.....

Completed a deal on a new 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Sport that was to be picked up from a different dealer. This was a Thursday. I was to pick up the truck on Saturday. They appraised my trade and asked for $1000.00 "good faith" deposit which I gave them. I called on Friday and was told the truck could not be there until Monday because the other dealer was having a promotion that weekend and didn't have time to do the paperwork. I believed it! I called Monday to tell them I would be there after work to pick up truck. Unfortunately, the drivers they sent to pick up the truck were stuck in traffic on the Ma. Pike due to a fatal accident and would not make it back until late that night so maybe Tuesday!!! I called home to see if there was a traffic problem on the news. NOTHING!!!!!! Called back and told them I would be there for a truck or my money. Salesman still insisted truck was coming. Sales manager backed up all these stories. Got there at 6 P.M., no salesman but I was ushered into the vice presidents office. He told me that the other dealer still had the truck and were still trying to sell it!!!! So there was no promotion, no fatal accident, no intent to pick truck up, just all lies!!!!! He said he would talk to his salesman and manager. This dealer wasted my time, lied,and left a bad taste with me. Fortunately, I next went to Port City Dodge,Portsmouth, NH and made a better deal on a new "2004" truck identical in options and the salesman was great as was the dealership. Shady people at Allen Mello Dodge,don't waste your time!!!!!!

I tried to buy a 2004 Ram 2500 from Allen Mello dodge. On my first visit to the dealer ship I asked for their best price. They gave me a price that included a $750 trade-in incentive (A dodge for a dodge). That sounded good but I wanted shop around a little. There were better deals at other dealerships but not by much. Allen Mello was closer to my home so I did a little homework and headed back to Allen Mello Dodge.
When I presented my offer at my second visit to Allen Mello Dodge. Knowing full well that they would not accept it?but thought we could meet somewhere in the middle. I was confronted by a hostile sales manager. Who we will call (JOHN). John Told me that not only was he not taking my offer but also the $750 trade-in incentive was no longer available because I didn't buy the truck the first time I was in. I was being punished. Wow! There was no negotiating. That was that. Take it or leave it. I was forced to leave. When I got up to leave I said to John. I never expected him to take away rebates. He said well we're even because I never expected you to ask for a lower price on the truck. What??? Well John we're not even! You and your dealership lose not only a sale, but also I'm going to tell this story to everyone I meet for the rest of my life. Stay Away from Allen Mello Dodge in Nashua NH. Sorry Mr. Allen Mello you probably have no idea one of your sales managers is treating people this way. Now You do!!

Totally incompetent service. Bought 1998 dodge durango from them in 2001. Has been nothing but trouble. Brakes completely replaced, transmission replaced, rear end replaced. Always get the run-around, have spent $6000 in repairs in the last year, transmission still does not shift correctly, constantly hear "clunking" noise from the front end, and they still want to soak me for another $2000 for engine work. don't ever go there, especially for used cars -- they do classic bait-and-switch. Sales people less than truthful regarding vehicle history.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Good,
My 2002 Dakota Quad Cab is the 3rd vehicle I've purchased from this dealer over the last 15 years. One in 1987, one in 2000 and one in 2002. I have always found the Sales Department to be great. It is encouraging to see that some of the same faces are still there after all of the years. I think that says something about the dealer ownership when employee retention is high. It makes for happy customers too since there is some continuity. The Service Dept. used to be terrible and treated customers like dirt. That seems to have turned around in recent years. They have always treated me courteously and provided repairs and service correctly and promptly. I haven't had a major problem with any of my recently purchased vehicles so they really haven't been tested. From my experiences with the Jeep dealer next door, it seems that Chrysler's dealers are caught in the middle, trying to do the right thing but shot down by Chrysler. If there is anything that needs improvement, it's DaimlerChrysler's extremely poor attitude toward its customers. If you have an issue that gets elevated to them, you're screwed because DaimlerChrysler corporate doesn't care one bit about you.
DaimlerChrysler should let their customers rate them against the "5 Star" test criteria it measures its dealers by. I guarantee that they'd be lucky to get even a "1" rating because they are so indifferent to their customers needs/requests. When Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura eat DaimlerChrysler's market share up for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it will be too late. Better starting treating your customers like they're God because your competition already is and they give free loaner cars too. Remember that the without customers, you're out of business.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
This was one of the worst experiences in my life. I order a truck from them and made it very clear that I didn't want the vehicle before April 2002. They left me with the impression that they could accommodate my request. The next thing I know the truck shows up a month early and I was expected to take delivery or forfeit my deposit. I then asked the dealer if it was possible give me a little more for my trade or make the first payment on the truck since it was a month early. Just so you know the payment was a whopping $446.00, and I was trying to purchase a $36,000 vehicle. One would think that they should be able to do something right? Wrong, instead I hear the manager dress down the dealer that I was working with and made me feel like a completely unreasonable idiot. It got so bad that I had to argue with them just to get a full tank of fuel. In retrospect, I should of walked right out on the deal. I will never deal with these people either in their service department or in their sales department again, and I would steer anyone away from there.
Stay the hell away from this place and if you have a deal in the works STOP!!!!!! Get any money you might have down and run!!!!!! This place sucks!!!!! It's not the vehicles it the people that ruin the deal here.

The service dept is inept! I brought in my vehicle for maintenance. Days later, my AC stopped working due to a leak. They fixed it after 2 full-day visits. Days later, it had a knocking noise in the front end. After 4 visits and $500, the noise is still there! They replaced parts that didn't need replacing. I wouldn't bring any of my vehicles there even if it were for free. No more Dodge products for me. I'm staying with Toyota!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Avoid,
I took my 1998 Durango in for a noise in the front end. Took a "mechanic" for a ride. He heard the noise, reported it to the manager. They kept the car two days, only to suggest replacing the serp. belt. When I picked up the car, the noise was louder than when I picked it up. I called immediately, they said to bring it back when I had an appointment for the cat. converter to be replaced (about 15 days later). I took the car on a trip that next week-end, and the car broke down on my way home. The universal joint broke causing the drive shaft, transfer case, shift rod and several other parts to break. After speaking to the service dept. in Tilton, they said that the universal joint should have been checked. I then called Chrysler, and they were no help, they suggested calling Allen Mello. I did, and they apologized, and said there was nothing they could do. BIG SURPRISE, they did not do anything to fix the initial problem, hence costing me $2000 to have everything ! fixed. Do not go to Allen Mello for service!!!! This was the second problem I have had with them and I will never visit their dealership again, nor will I purchase another Chrysler product.

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
Sales Dept. Was OK. Bought my first car there and had no problems with the sale. Service dept was very poor. I had troubles trying to get a recall on my vapor canister and they were back ordered for months.  Ended up calling Burlington dodge(who had the the part in stock). They never meet `deadlines. My first car sat in the lot (engine rebuild) for 3 months.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,  Nice machine POOR dealership

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
Dealership very incompetent. Had brought my truck there several times to resolve a recall. Each time they said that a part was on back order. Finally called another dealer to get the repair done. They have also ignored my TSB requests only later to come around 360 and say they found the same TSB I suggested days earlier. They are very sales focused but the service managers are very useless and treat you like a moron!

Sales=Good, Service=Poor,
Difficult at best when you try to get warranty work done. If is not warranty work then they are more than willing to accommodate you. I stopped doing business with them.

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid,
I took my truck in for service to correct a right brake pull. They turned the rotors and replaced the front pads. When I picked the truck up, the right pull was gone only to now have it pull to the left. Go figure...Also both center hubs were not on correctly and would have fallen off if I had not check prior to leaving. Truck was dirty (hand prints on white paint) and grease on the seat!

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid, no details or comments

Sales=Poor, Service=Avoid,
Avoid this dealership like the plague unless you enjoy going back for repeat work. They can not fix a problem right the first time. Incompetence rules at Allen Mello Dodge.

Dealership Rating:
Good sales department, good service
Fair sales, fair service
Conflicting or not enough information
Poor Service or Poor Sales Department
Avoid like the plague!!
