This dealership is not recognized as a member of the New Hampshire auto dealers association nor does it care to negotiate or mediate with,to help solve problems , as the association was willing to help me with.As a result they had my new van for ( 5 ) MONTHS . At which time it was such a
great inconvenience without my vehicle and still making payments on, that I was forced to take back the van when the work was performed UNSATISFACTORILY. I would also like to point out that during this time , they seemed ever so sincere , the whole time they were LIEING. When I reported unsatisfactory service to the owner Frank Baker , the Lies only escalated , by himself and his service department. I hope this letter will help even 1 person avoid this dealership , but I am hoping for thousands. Please note, this is only my experience,so I recommend you call the Better Business Bureau 603-224-1991
As I would also like to mention that I was grateful for the whole top of my van had been replaced, it was totally unnecessary for them to try to shift blame to the extent of them having me try to claim it on my insurance, which was immediately denied.

I went to purchase a vehicle with an advertised price. Dealer boasts "Price is the Price". I was shown the vehicle but price increased $300 as I don't qualify for the $300 "business discount". Don't quite understand this since car dealerships deal with the public as opposed to companies that only deal with the trades people but so be it.Left dealership .Received an e-mail with subject . " The vehicle you want at the "Price you want to Pay". Called dealer salesman told me the deal could be written over the phone.
but the price is the same. huh?? Decided to think about it as I was still mildly interested. Called salesman to "buy" "purchase" Now I'm told I need to finance the vehicle to get the price quoted.huh?? again Would have bought If I could just figure out what the Price is the Price " means. finance to get the price quoted. Would have bought If I could just figure out what the Price is the Price " means. Really confused with dealer message.

I don't have a problem with the dealership it's dodge I have a problem with. Well actually I do because they sold me the car. I bought a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with only 20,000 miles on it. It now has ONLY 68,000 miles and the transmission went. I will NEVER buy another DODGE and I will never recommend anyone else does either. And now I hear that the Dodge's are known for that. Well why wasn't I told this by the dealership?

visited dealership twice. first time I was surprised that no one came rushing out to sell me a car. After about 15 minutes of browsing the cars I met Carl Fogarty. I explained I was surprised that they let me just walk around without being mobbed. I asked him about a ram I saw in the boston herald. He gave me a price which was very reasonable. He also explained ALL the rebates included in the price. I did not get the $300 business owner rebate. After shopping 4 other dodge dealers I went back and bought my truck from Carl whose price was $965 less than any other place I stopped at. Excellent customer satisfaction.

Lowest prices I found in New England. They had exactly what they advertised and did not try to switch me when I asked about their add in the Boston Herald. Sales person (Bill Macdonald)was pressure free...They are all Salary...no commission. The best thing about Port City is that the price they advertise it the price you pay...no added fees (except $25 state title fee). Service department is also great. They are efficient and quick. A+++ Best dealership around...check them out after shopping everywhere else, I am glad I did.

Bait and switch tactics. Price advertised not price you can buy. Insulting tactics. Chased buyers to car & argued about prices of truck & trade-in. Would not buy at this Dealership. Salesman abusive to customers.

This is my fourth vehicle from Port City Dodge. The sales and service department has always went the extra mile to exceed my expectations. I went to Foss Motors in Exeter, NH to comparison shop, what a mistake. While I was there the general manager,Mr. Silverman, repeatedly swore at the salesperson because he told him that I was shopping at Port City as well. He then proceeded to tell me to stop wasting his time and get out of his dealership. Maybe Mr. Silverman should spend a week at Port City and learn how to treat a customer. Bottom line: If you are looking for a car/truck visit Port City they will treat you right.

I recently purchased an 03 Ram 2500 from Port-City and was very pleased with the particular salesman. Bill Macdonald was very straight forward thru the whole process. He answered every question I had with decent and honest answers. He did a good job on finding a fair and reasonable selling price as well as the trade for my old truck. I have nothing but good things to say about the purchasing experience. Wish other local dealers would learn to not play so many games.

The prices seemed reasonable. We got a salesman, Carl, who was not knowledgeable at all. He threw numbers around but when asked specific questions regarding warranty prices, financing etc.. wanted to avoid the topic completely. Was willing to waste our time waiting while he ran around pretending to ask his "boss" questions but the moment we tried to negotiate a price he was quick to lose any professionalism he had at all. He was actually sighing out loud and threw a pen. We were actually ready to settle on the price he had given us but wanted to try to lower the price by a grand (who wouldn't) until he threw his little temper tantrum... Would never go back. Try Foss motors in Exeter.. Much better experience there!
