i went in because i called and questioned one of the promotions i had heard
on the radio. When i reached one of the people at the 800 number i was told
i was pre-approved because i was one of the first 88 callers or some stuff like
that, so i made an appointment and went in. I brought my trade and the 88 dollars
the girl on the phone(ashley) told me to bring. So after they showed me the
car i was pre-approved for i was told i needed a co-signer or 5,000 dollars
down. I said ok thanks for the time and was about to leave, then the salesperson
said let me try one more time and returned to inform me that it was my lucky
day and he could get me approved on a NEON for 500 dollars a month. I declined
and went to leave and was then stopped by the rudest man ever, a little Jamaican
man that continued to down me and my current car and he actually became hostile
and give me dirty looks when i told him i'd rather drive my mini van then settle
for a smaller car. Ok it gets better!!! The next day i receive a call from the
salesman telling me to come in he found a bank that will approve me on the vehicle
i liked. So i went in and .....nothing, same stuff!!!! you need money or a co-signer
how about a neon. What a waste of time. So i left again, now i continuously
get phone calls from other salesman trying to get me in for an appointment,
sometimes 3 call a day and they don't stop!!!!!! STAY AWAY

Sales=Good, Service=Avoid, Parts=Good, bought there=Yes, scv_there=Yes,
Buy_DaimlerChrysler_again=Yes,
First to start on a good note, their sales department was easy to work with
and they catered to all of our needs even though they were greatly inconvenienced
by construction and working out of trailers. They did try their sales tactics
at first (which is to be expected) by offering one price and when we prepared
to leave, offering another price (much lower). Typical sales tactics.
But their service department needs to be avoided. It is a completely different
situation then with the sales department and every time we took our truck in,
there was some sort of problem.
1st time: Window washer pump - they replaced it, but when we came to pick up
the truck their was a big puddle underneath. When it was addressed to the service
manager, a cranky mechanic came out and discovered that the pump was not seated
right. This was fixed in the parking lot.
2nd time: Vibration in front when braking - they claim to have replaced the
rotors, which were warped, after telling us none were in stock. They may have...
not sure.
3rd time: Took in for regular service - 6,000 mile service: they only changed
the oil even though most places consider a tire rotation a part of the 6,000
mile service. This was not requested by me though, I only assumed it would be
done because I handed them the service book and it stated tire rotation along
with the oil change. Oil was all over the engine when we opened up the hood
and their was mud on the rug on the side of the paper mat.
4th time: Vibration again after one month - told to go home because they were
out of rotors, and will have new ones that week. Gave story that Dodge was buying
substandard rotors and they changed their vendor so it would be replaced with
the proper rotors. We called Wednesday to make sure they were in, they said
yes.
5th time: Brought it in for the new improved rotors and tire rotation (one week
later) - they called up and said that there was no vibration and that we would
have to bring it in on Monday and speak to the service manager if we thought
different. They claimed that the tire rotation fixed the problem. This is after
a service mechanic almost backed into me while I was dropping it off. They were
driving a customer's car.
**Less then one week later - we dropped off the truck to a different dealership
(Martin Dodge) because the engine light came on (emission problem), but we also
asked them to check the vibration. Well he called and he said there is a definite
vibration and the rotors are bad and they need to change the brake pads because
this is what is damaging the rotors. I did not inform Martin Dodge this condition
existed before until they told me they found a definite problem. They had even
prompted the question whether they had been changed before because of the condition
of the brake pads.
To make this long story short, the only two good experiences that I have had
with Cherry Hill Dodge is their sales and parts department (ordered back mat
- easy process). I would not recommend the service department at all, because
they obviously need to hire more qualified mechanics or give them additional
training. So buy your next vehicle there, but don't bring it back for service.
