Everyone is super friendly and ready to do anything for you...BUT once you buy
the vehicle you are treated like an alien and they play games...Herbee Motor
Dodge had an automatic starter installed into my vehicle before I picked up
my brand new 2005 SXT Grand Caravan...Well I now live in SC and the dealer here
found out why my electrical system is creating havoc....The unprofessional and
incorrect way my unit was installed...I have frayed wires, burnt wires and chaffed
wires due to this unit...when I called the aftermarket guy and the manager Rich...they
had a solution come back to NY and we'll see IF we can do anything---NO refund,
NO replacement>>>>no help or service the way I was told to never
worry when I purchase anything from them......yeah right and I have a bridge
to sell you too....(ha, ha, ha)....
Don't purchase anything from Herbee Motor or use their service department!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 3 calls to the dealership I am still trying to get back the $100 deposit
(10/2/2006) I put down on a new Durango (10/2/2006). My last call , I was told
to mail back the yellow copy of the non- binding sales agreement, and I would
be refunded my $100 promptly. The sales manager said, "...if you try to
return a shirt from Macy's without a sales receipt, do they refund your money?"
I've never put a deposit down on a shirt at Macy's, so I really can't say. This
is what is wrong with American car manufactures/sales personnel. They are complete
idiots.

Bought a 2000 Dodge intrepid from Herbee Dodge. With approximately 35,000 miles
on it, discovered a leak in the thermostat housing. When brought in for service
was told it was not covered under the extended warranty I purchased which covered
me for 5 years or 75,000 miles. Extended warranty also offers a loaner car.
After dealer fixes leak I found out at a later date it was covered. At 67,000
miles air conditioner broke for the third time and had a tranny leak at the
pan. Once again was told it was not covered. After confronting the manager,
advised me it would be covered. They didn't supply a loaner car as promised
so had to rent a car. NOW, seven days later my care still has not been repaired
and am still paying for a rent a car. Incompetent service, poor customer relations
and untrained staff with no knowledge of warranty info. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

The sales people are dumb as logs and their service sucks. If you like to waste
time go to Herbee Dodge...they are the best at it.

Sounded like something run by the belt was making a grinding noise. They tried
to tell my wife the noise was normal due to stretching of the belt. After 3
trips they finally broke down and replaced the a/c compressor. It would seem
they did not bother to see if the new compressor worked because it didn't and
had to be replaced as well. Chrysler has since extended the warranty on the
A/C system.
I have a 2002 Grand Caravan that has a recall for power steering cooling hoses.
I can hardly wait to take it back them.

They are not perfect but they try. When you pick up the vehicle you go searching
as the don't tell you where it is. In the back doesn't narrow it down to closely.
Had to make two trips for water leak as the tried a patch instead of new gaskets
at clearance lights. Make an appointment and it is not done in one day due to
overbooking. Not good in a work vehicle

I will NEVER EVER recommend this dealership not even to my worst enemy. I was
treated poorly and they lied about giving me the key pad code for the Ford Eddie
Bauer Explorer, they basically called me a liar. They love to take your money,
but when it comes down to coming through with their promises they seem to forget
that you are the customer. Even though my vehicle was not a Dodge product they
should have researched what options this vehicle had they new nothing and I
as the consumer who spent 19,000 had to research what options my vehicle had.
POOR management skills of Mike Reilly he was rude and would not give me the
owners name when I asked, he said "trust me he will never talk to you,
nor do you want to speak with him!" The better business bureau will hear
from me. I will need to spend over 100.00 to obtain this code from Ford, a fee
that I feel should be paid by this poor managed dealership.

Ordered truck New, waited months [ not the dealers fault.] Day before I was
to pick up the truck, the Sales-woman Deena called said they made a mistake
and the truck would be One Thousand More. No I worked it out with the sales
mgr. Same price.
-> Picked it up 6 11 01, big white stain on the front seat console. waited
45 minutes for them to clean it. Gas tank EMPTY.
-> 6 12 01 wiper delay switch does not work. Ok they took me in first seeing
how the truck was one day old. but waited almost two hours.
-About Feb. 02 front seat trim cracked and fell off. They gave me the part I
installed it my self.
-> 11 7 02 with 18,377 miles Engine has a severe miss, and trans has a delay
in engaging when shifted from park to drive.
-> Dropped off at 11 6 02, same day service promised, was ready 11 8 02.
They replaced #2 plug wire [ with the wrong size and type. Fixed trans.
-> 4 7 03 Sun glass holder fell off. Was told by service dept and service
advisor that NO plastic parts are covered under warrantee. I told them the next
call is to DMC and the News service. Made me wait an hour and got one from the
Parts dept. I installed it myself.
-> 8 25 03 Radiator leak at the tank seam [26,775 miles] Called for service
was told by service mgr. Bill He had a lot of techs. on vacation "AND 2
out on maternity leave" would be ten working days at least. Repeated phone
calls made no difference. The last phone call to the service dept. was greeted
with " One of our Techs DIED" you have to wait. No so far they won't
even let me bring the truck to them to Confirm it has a radiator Leak. Finally
get the ok from Herbee dodge for them to take a look. About two minutes. Wife
and father law took a day off of work. Were told not to drive it
-> 8 29 03. Entire electrical malfunction. No power to anything. All fuses
ok. Had to go in person and Be very Firm. Was told to bring it in 9 02 03. had
to have it flat bedded. they got it before 8 AM
NOTE promised face to face ONE day service guaranteed. Called Them at 4PM was
told service mgr. Bill will call you back by 4:30pm. as Of 6:08pm the same day
not even a return call.
Now ask me why I will never by anything from Herbee dodge. Should have listened
to my wife and bought a Chevy or GMC. Very very sorry I Purchased this truck
from them. Note I also had dealer options installed by them. and we Paid Cash
for the entire purchase.
do your self a favor, keep your old vehicle Running if you have to go to Herbee
dodge.

my ram 1500 from herbee, and my experience with their sales staff was wonderful.
They were as helpful, honest, and professional as can be. After the sale, as
service to my vehicle became necessary, I had the pleasure of dealing with their
service department. Every time I go there, they are always courteous and willing
to address my concerns. As a customer of herbee dodge, I don't think there is
anything wrong with receiving some priority over those who purchased their vehicle
elsewhere - in fact, I expect nothing less. My advice to those individuals who
are not happy about the way they were treated: go back to where you bought it
- maybe they'll treat you better. And if they don't, then I guess you shouldn't
have bought your car there either.

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, My Van was serviced by Herbee Motors,
and I have been loosing coolant and have had an on again off again oil leak
ever since. This time, the dealer refused to book appointment because I complained
to Chrysler about lack of availability for service appointments a month earlier.
They stated that they could only service cars sold by Herbee Motors they not
have adequate service staff to handle the volume. If you like to be frustrated
by Ignorance then use Herbee Motors.

visit=8/02, I've been there twice with my wife's car, and even though we didn't
buy it from Herbee, the service staff was still willing to assist with my concerns.
They were very accommodating. (Thank you even).

Sales=Excellent, Service=Poor, This five star dealer came highly recommended
by a coworker. No complaints when checked via the BBB. Sales went smooth, no
pressure at all. No fuss, my homework was all done in advance. I returned twice
in order to get an oil change, both at different times and days but was told
to come back later. Not a great sign. Tried a different Dodge dealer in the
area and was taken care of. I rank the sales department high, one of the best
on Long Island but wasn't very happy with the service end of the dealer.
