We shopped around, we had all the time in the world, we knew what we wanted
and how much I was willing to spend, JASON, gave me 99% of my options under
the amount I wanted to spend, (we had 5 other dealers on LI along with internet
based sites searching, calling and doing all the leg work) We went with Neil
dodge because Jason came through with flying colors. On the other the service
department needs a little work. A little disorganized and hectic. Felt a little
uncomfortable leaving our truck there.
They need a good woman to go into the service department and light a fire under
their a$$es. Jason you did a great job!

Sales=Don't Know, Service=Poor, bought there=No, scv_there=Yes,
My 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan was towed to Neil Dodge recently. It's been over
a week that it's been at Neil Dodge's Service Dept. and I can't tell you the
problems we have had. It took them over 3 days to diagnose a Fuel Pump problem.
Then took them forever to find that I had an extended warranty, which I told
them I did and even gave them my code#. They actually contacted the dealership
where I bought my vehicle from and had them fax over my warranty information.
After all of that, the part wasn't in stock and was supposedly ordered, but
it's been 3 days now, and the part is no where in sight, nor can they guarantee
when it's being delivered. I even asked if other Dodge dealers had the part
in stock, but the Service Mgr advised, "even if other dealers had the part
in stock, it doesn't mean they would give it to us. Sometimes other dealers
do not want to trade with us, or the part departments are feuding." I've
never dealt with such disorder and the Service Mgr was absolutely no help. I'm
at my wits end and not sure what to do. All I know is I'm glad I didn't buy
my van there and sorry it was towed to Neil's Service Center. After the service
I've received, I would never buy anything from Neil Dodge to avoid their Service
Dept. no matter what the price! If you break down and they want to tow you to
the nearest Dodge dealer, please BEWARE to plead to go somewhere else unless
you want to wait over a week to get your car back for a simple problem and be
ignored.

Sales=Excellent, Service=Don't Know, bought there=yes, scv_there=No,
Bought a 2000 Durango and the deal went smoothly. The salesman Neil Wessman
(not the owner)was helpful and answered all our questions truthfully . Rob Upson,
general manager, was instrumental in making the deal go through. Robert Ciarletta,
business manager who closed the deal, was professional and very helpful. Good
people.
Everyone has horror stories about car dealerships. When I bought a Corrolla
from Sunrise Toyota, the sales manager and I almost got into a fist fight at
the delivery because they lied to us and didn't deliver on what they had promised.
So, yeah, I've had my share of unpleasant experiences when buying a car. However,
Neil Dodge was different. They were very professional, informative and courteous.
The attitude you bring into the show room will dictate the deal. We went there
knowing what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend. You have to realize
all these guys are out to make a buck, otherwise, why else would they be doing
it. But there can be a mutual agreement where both parties can benefit and the
sooner you establish this with the dealer the less argumentative the whole deal
can be.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Avoid,
It all started when I went to pick up my new 2002 Dakota Sport. Neil himself
was there to 'finalize' the delivery. I mentioned to him the bed liner was missing.
He went over the agreement and sure enough I was supposed to have a bed liner.
No problem he said we will take care of it."What kind would you like, over the
rail or under the rail". He went on to explain how much sharper the under the
rail installation looked.... Sold. I'll take under the rail.... And that was
the beginning of the end. See http://www.guildweb.com/docs/Dodge.htm

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know,
My wife and I have been Hunting for a 2500 Ram quad cab ( sport). Twice I called
and went there. Spoke to Mr "Z" Told him I wanted it with the V10, his comment
was "No I don't, they only get 4 (four) miles per gallon at best".
I responded that I had spoke to Others that owned them and the mileage was 10
to 14 depending. He said "No way". This dealer ship thrives on the
uninformed buyer with a large check book. After being told he had exactly what
I wanted , We went there to find NOTHING even close. Part two: This one will
kill you and it is ALL TRUE>>> My wife calls Neil dodge telling them exactly
what we want - Spoke to RICH. He said he has just the right truck only it is
a short bed. But don't worry that he could have it converted to a Long bed in
TWO days. I swear this is true.
