They tell you if they cannot finance you they will give you a car--that is Bull!!!!
Also they have what they call a "Forgiveness Sale" where they pay
off your old loan and finance a loan for you--well that is Bull too!!! They
did no such thing and lied about the whole 9 yards!! Fred Martin does Nothing
they say they will do.

The staff of Fred Martin (any Fred Martin) dealership are horrible. I wont go
into a lengthy story, but we were lied to, made to feel like we were very unwanted
as customers and it took us 4 hours to purchase our vehicle (and we already
had our financing in order). I wrote a letter to Chrysler about our experience
and never did receive a response. It seem that by selling their product they
are representing Chrysler, and not in a good way. I thought Chrysler should
be aware but I guess they didn't care. I just purchased a new vehicle and went
to Saturn. I have never had a more pleasant experience buying a vehicle. I don't
know if I will ever go back to a Chrysler dealer, it's a shame Fred Martin ruins
it for so many potential repeat customers.

Avoid like the plague... please read all of this.
I bought a 2005 Ram 1500 4X4 on May 5, 2005 from Fred Martin Dodge. I had a
2004 with a V6 that I bought at a different dealer the previous year and wanted
to upgrade. I went to Dodge's website and used the "build and price"
feature to create the Ram that I wanted to upgrade to. After an inventory search
I found the exact truck I had built, at Fred Martin Dodge. I called them, and
they set it aside for me. That was the end of the pleasant experience. Upon
getting there and test driving the truck I was ready to buy. When negotiating
with the salesman he started getting an attitude with me, because I wouldn't
budge on my price by $5/month. I understand that free market, means they can
name their price and I can name mine, but I didn't go there to get attitude
from a salesman. If they don't like my price tell me, and I'll leave... don't
get short with me. The next problem came from the finance department. I was
scammed into buying a life insurance policy that they implied was free. This
is a long story and I will be glad to tell anyone who wants to hear it. Please
feel free to email me about it (pleaseshotme[a]yahoo.com - put "Fred Martin
Scam" in the subject so I don't delete it), and I will give you the whole
story. Obviously they deny that they implied it was free. I have filed a complaint
with the Better Business Bureau, and DaimlerChrysler about this matter. Now
I'm trying to get the word out. The 3rd problem is this. I went to the dealership
again (45 minutes from my house), to sign a paper to cancel the policy I didn't
want. Upon arriving I was told by the finance rep (Jim) that I had to wait about
40 minutes to sign the paper even though his last customer had just walked out
of his office. He said he would take 5 minutes for me to sign when I called,
but now I'm being told to wait or come back another day. I then asked for the
manager, who I hoped could do the paperwork instead of waiting 40 minutes for
Jim to do it. He then got an attitude with me and told me that the finance rep
was the "only one" who could do the paperwork, and I would just have
to wait. I told him, that I was told he would make time for me, and he said
"people who are buying cars take precedence." So apparently once they
sell you a car/truck (I bought a truck from them don't forget), they are through
with you. All they want is to GET YOUR MONEY, THEN GET YOU OUT THE DOOR. A previous
customer and current Dodge owner has to sit, while they try to make a sale.
I sat in the lounge, and I heard him (THE MANAGER) tell the cashier "this
guy's going to be waiting a while", like he was going to prove a point.
I sat there for 1 hour and 37 minutes before as salesman saw me wandering around
the showroom, and had me sign the paper I was there to sign. Note this is a
salesman, even though I was told that the finance rep was the "only one"
who could do it. This company is very unprofessional, and I would definitely
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I don't know about the service department, I've never used them, but I won't
find out because I will never set foot in that dealership again. As far as buying
a DaimlerChrysler product again... absolutely, but I would buy it from a different
dealership. My Ram is great, I just went to a bad dealership to buy it.
I've had no problems with my truck (it's still new). I have had 3 other Dodge
trucks (2 dakotas, and a 2004 Ram 1500. No problems with any of them either,
that's why I keep buying Dodge.

Sales=Avoid, Service=Don't Know, bought there=No, scv_there=No,
Very poor sales tactics, running back and forth, tell you one thing and when
you question it, they go back to the boss and come back with some made up story,
would recommended even wasting your time to go there, they surely can't sell
too many vehicles with their expertise, also, salesman was in a hurry as we
went in toward closing to avoid the hassle of the run-around! Will not go back
to consider a vehicle at this lot. My husband and I have purchased many new
and used cars and you know when you are getting the run around on your trade-in,
credit score, etc. from experience, it's their tactic! Wouldn't recommend them
to anyone to purchase a vehicle and will get the word out!

Sales=Avoid, Service=Poor,
The owner (Bill Martin) is a fair and good guy, but surrounds himself
with very POOR people. They are mainly a GM dealership, so they
do little for the CPD boys. The salesmen knew so little about my
truck that I had to tell them the order codes. Then they ORDERED
THE WRONG TRUCK!!! If I did not have connections at the zone office
I would probably not have a truck. Once Bill knew of the problems things
got settled. The rumors about the service is terrible. I know
of several cases where the vehicle came out worse than it went in. I don't feel
the salesmen were honest and would never believe a thing I heard at the dealership.

Wouldn't show me the advertised vehicle. Said it was sold. Went home and called
back and was told it was still there. Went back again and was told it was sold
again. Asked to see a manager. Waited 15 minutes and left. Same vehicle still
in their ad 4 weeks later.
Purchased at Klaben Dodge with NO HASSLES and NO BAIT AND SWITCH.
