i have a 98 dodge ram 2500 4x4 last week my brakes went completely out. same thing happened about 8 months ago i took it to a brake shop and they replaced the dump valve in the abs and it was fine. this time i took it to a dealer because i thought they would offer a better warranty and i had an electrical problem. i had it towed in to the dealer and they called me later that morning and told me it was the abs controller so i said fine fix it. the next day they called and said it was a busted brake line. i said good that's a lot cheaper than the abs, but then they told me they needed that to reset the lights on the dash that it couldn't be done by a computer. I do know a lot about trucks and the first thing i did when they went out was check the fluid and bleed the brakes which cannot be done with a busted brake line. so i told the lady this is impossible and she told me i had to talk to the tech. the next day i went in there i talked to the tech and asked him about resetting the dash lights with the computer and he said it couldn't be done. then i told him there wasn't a broken line when i had the truck at the house. he said they didn't notice it until they were done working on it. i said i have to pay for something you guys broke and he told me it would have broke anyway. i asked to see the line and he said they threw it away. so finally i just paid the $992.48 and left never going back again.
my sister took her truck there a few years ago and they put the wrong rear window in and when she told them about it they said there was no way they put the wrong window in until she told them hers had ram heads in the window. then they said there bad and switched it. what IDIOTS or CROOKS
dodge needs to do something about there automatic trannys. i've owned 4 rams and have put 4 trannys in under 90,000 miles. the bottom of the door rust on every one I've owned, light switch caught fire fuel gauge always breaks. if dodges didn't have cummins i wouldn't buy one
